Change Of Focus… To Us!

From books to us, moms got squashed on elections for school boards so now they are focusing on us, trans people!

Apparently, there is not enough joy to go around, and some “joyful warriors” are upset about, among other things, what they see as their nickname being ripped off.

[…]

As a whole, the summit sent dual messages. One cast Moms for Liberty and the broader Republican Party as working to appeal across party lines. The other unleashed strikingly vitriolic language about supposed dangers of the Harris-Walz ticket—especially to parents. Leaders made one particular issue—transgender students—the focus of their messaging. Staple concerns of past years, including social-emotional learning, DEI initiatives, and “inappropriate” books, took a backseat. There was little talk of academics or learning.

Instead, co-founder Tiffany Justice painted schools as predatory, seeking to infect children with ideas about gender that lead them to declare they are nonbinary. And Walz, whose policies as governor of Minnesota are considered LGBTQ+-friendly, was a special target of attack.
Cue the theme song for Jaws!
She also raised concerns about what she called “a social contagion that has taken over in our country. It’s called rapid-onset gender dysphoria,” Justice said, referring to a disorder described in a paper published last year in the scientific journal Archives of Sexual Behavior that has since been retracted.

Oh boy, here we go again with the debunked theory. You can read what I wrote about the ROGD in Part 1 and Part 2.

Then we have JD’s take on grandparents…

JD Vance agreed with the notion that raising grandchildren was “the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female,” an unearthed 2020 podcast shows.

Vance also seemed to concur when the host suggested that having grandparents help raise children was a “weird, unadvertised feature of marrying an Indian woman.”

It's the latest in comments from the Republican nominee for vice presdident about women and "traditional" roles that have drawn ire. Vance has faced intense criticism in recent weeks for previous sexist comments, including his remarks about "cat ladies."
But JD is on a roll! The New Republic writes...
J.D. Vance thinks the high cost of daycare can be solved with one easy trick: Just ask your family for help!

At a Turning Point Action event in Mesa, Arizona, Wednesday, conservative pundit Charlie Kirk asked the Republican vice presidential nominee how to lower the cost of childcare. Vance’s answer seemed more than a little tone-deaf.

“One of the ways that you might be able to relieve a little bit of pressure on people who are paying so much for daycare is, maybe grandma and grandpa wants to help out a little bit more. Or maybe there’s an aunt or uncle that wants to help out a little bit more,” Vance said. “If that happens, you relieve some of the pressure on all of the resources that we’re spending on daycare.”

This from a person in the hedge fund and venture capital sectors! Of course grandma and grandpa might still be working because they Social Security might not be enough for them to survive on so they still have to work. And the aunts and uncles might be working two jobs each to pay for the day care of their children.

These people live in their own little fantasy worlds of billioaires.

  1. The more pearls of wisdom I hear Vance utter, the more out of touch he is. Lately, I have seen less of him on the news. I have a feeling the campaign advisors have told both Vance and Trump to shut up.
