I am going on record to state that this Trump administration will be the most corrupt administration ever! The Supreme Court gave him the go ahead to do anything he wants.

True to character, Donald Trump is already flouting ethics laws and norms even before he takes office as president in 2025. The president-elect is accepting secret donations to fund his transition while refusing to sign ethics pledges or deliver an ethics plan mandated by the Presidential Transitions Act. The transition also has not signed an agreement with the Federal Bureau of Investigation that would allow the agency to do background checks on Trump nominees.

The transition has missed deadlines in September and October despite transition team leaders Howard Lutnick and Linda McMahon promising to sign memorandums of understanding with the Biden White House that would facilitate the outgoing administration’s collaboration with Trump’s transition team. According to The New York Times, the Trump transition has privately created an ethics code and conflict-of-interest guidance for transition staff, but those documents do not include a legal requirement — a statement regarding how Trump will handle conflicts of interest while in office.

“This failure undercuts the fundamental purpose of presidential transition laws,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in a letter to the Biden administration on Thursday. She added, “In effect, President-elect Trump is undermining his administration’s ability to manage urgent national security threats, health and safety threats, and serious conflicts of interest starting on day one of his presidency.”

HEY! The Supreme Court gave him the green light to thumb his nose at everything… any laws he doesn’t like… FU! The selling of favors… go right ahead! You don’t like it impeach me! I dare you, impeach me! And you watch what he does to New York state! We have elected a dictator.

My Prediction.

 

That the ‘24 election will all boil down to who can get out the vote! I predict that there will be a record turn out and in many precincts will run out of ballots. I hope and pray that violence doesn’t out, that we will have a peaceful vote.

It Is That Time Again To Gaze Into The Crystal Ball

As Johnny Carlson used to call up Carnac the Magnificent, I will rub my crystal ball to see what is in store for us this year.

First here in Connecticut…

I foresee little action in the General Assembly, the only thing that I am pushing is a bill to require senior centers, nursing homes, and long term care facilities recognize special days for minority groups like Muslims and other religious days, Blacks and other ethnic groups, and for the LGBTQ+ community. But that is a long shot. However, I do think that the Republicans will introduce bills on "Parental Rights" I think that they will try to make it an issue.

I also foresee more protests against us here in CT, not violent like in other parts of the country. But in Roanoke Texas  armed protesters and armed supporters have already faced off and I see the protests spread to Connecticut and the rest of New England and I hope that they are not armed like in the South and Midwest.

Nationally, foresee the conservative states to once again go all out trying to pass anti-trans and anti-LGBQ legislation. And the House will be holding all types of anti-Democrat hearing, the president’s son, and the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. I also foresee hearing and bills being passed in the House on abortions, drag shows, and trans healthcare.

I think we will see a lot more anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation coming out of the red and orange states and I think you will start to see anti-Drag Queen legislation coming out of them. That is their new bogeyman of the Republicans. 

Bias crimes will continue to climb so will acts of terrorism attacking electrical substations. And sadly I foresee increase levels of violence against us including violence at drag events and at Pride events. There might be even armed protesters blocking Pride parades.

Of course COVID will still be with us and we will still have to get our booster.

New Year Prediction.

With the coming of the new year everybody is making predictions and this is one of mine…

COVID-19 is not going away.

It will be with us for the rest of our history.

Did you know that the 1918 Flu is still with us today? It can be found in the strains of flu that we get now, it is highly mutated but its DNA is still with us, the same will be true for COVID it will be doing what all living things do… mutate.

I am a voracious reader of science articles and also science fiction and a couple of things that I have learned, one that as population increases toxins build up. Do you know why wines only have a 12% -17% alcohol? It is because of the yeast excrement poisons it environment killing off the yeast. Well the same thing is true for us, we are poisoning our own environment and disease can spread much more easily.

Another lesson I learned, this time from sic-fi. Ever watch Stargate? There are many science fiction books about space/time portals and many of the themes involve civilizations dying off because people could spread disease faster than the incubation period of the disease. Sound familiar?

With jet travel we can span the globe faster than the incubation period for COVID. The Omicron variant isn’t from South Africa but appears to have started in Europe and spread from there, South Africa was the first place it was identified as a new strain.

Most of the new strains of viruses cross the animal human barrier, there is even a name for it; Zoonotic Diseases. HIV, COVID, rabies, avian influenza and monkeypox, even Cat Scratch fever, the list goes on and on.

So my New Year Prediction is… we will have to be getting COVID booster shot just like the flu shots each year. They maybe even combined in to one shot.
