Thump, Thump...

That's the sound of the Democratic bus running us over!
AP News

California Gov. Gavin Newsom does not like being on Donald Trump’s side on any issue.

But when it comes to transgender girls and women in sports, particularly at the school level, the Democrat said he largely agrees with the Republican president. Newsom, one of his party’s leading White House prospects, believes it’s “deeply unfair” for people who are assigned male at birth to compete against girls.

“I don’t want to be on that side of it, but I’m being honest — I’d be lying to you if I said differently,” Newsom told The Associated Press as he was campaigning recently in South Carolina. “I haven’t been able to figure out how to make it fair from my perspective.”
It is the economy, stupid!
Let me repeat that... It is the economy, stupid!
While most Democratic officials remain steadfast supporters of the transgender community, an increasing number in red and blue states are distancing themselves from their party’s unflinching support for the transgender community’s policy priorities, such as allowing athletes to compete on teams that match their gender identity. The shift follows years of conservative attacks against Democrats on the divisive issue, which affects a relatively small number of transgender people and their families, but has emerged as one of Republicans’ most potent political weapons in the Trump era.
What is it? It is the economy, stupid!

Here is what the candidate has to do... ask the people, "Have you ever met a trans person? Have you tried to fill up your tank recently? What concerns you more?"

GLAAD reports that;
  • SUPERMAJORITY OF REGISTERED VOTERS REJECT POLITICAL ATTACKS ON TRANSGENDER PEOPLE
  • 74% OF REGISTERED VOTERS SUPPORT CANDIDATES WHO REJECT DISCRIMINATION
  • 68% OF U.S. ADULTS AGREE BRANDS SHOULD BE FREE TO SHOW SUPPORT TO THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY DURING PRIDE
  • 65% OF REGISTERED VOTERS BELIEVE POLITICIANS ATTACK TRANSGENDER PEOPLE AS A DISTRACTION FROM MORE IMPORTANT CONCERNS LIKE RISING COSTS
Repeat after me... It's the economy, stupid!

When people are polled only around 7% said we're the problem... everyone else said "It's the economy, stupid!"

This is where the problem is and education is the key!
More people approve of Trump’s handling of transgender issues than his job performance overall. People are more likely to oppose than support public health insurance programs like Medicare or Medicaid covering gender-affirming medical treatments.
AP/NORC Poll
May 10, 2025

Around two-thirds (68%) of the public say that whether someone is a man or a woman is determined by the sex they were assigned at birth. About half of Democrats feel someone’s identity can differ from their sex at birth – significantly higher than the share of independents (22%) or Republicans (11%) who feel that way.
I have to say that I agree, gender is determined at birth... but it is not always visible.

U.S.S. Donald Trump?

What do you think the new aircraft carrier should be named. Trump want to name it after him.

But there have been other suggestions...

Or you can suggest a name for the carrier in the comments!

Is Time To End Air Shows?

I remember how much I used to love air shows and military planes. But is it past time to end the military's participation in them?
AP News

May 18, 2026

All four crew members ejected safely after two Navy jets collided and crashed Sunday during an air show at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in western Idaho, officials said.

The collision involved two U.S. Navy EA18-G Growlers from the Electronic Attack Squadron 129 in Whidbey Island, Washington, said Cmdr. Amelia Umayam, spokesperson for Naval Air Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
I am extremely glad that no one got hurt!

However, is it time to end military participation in air shows altogether? Back when I used to go to these shows, the planes were just airplanes. Now, they are so stuffed with electronics that a new F-18 Growler costs between $100 million and $125 million! That crash not only put four lives in danger but also cost taxpayers around $250 million—that is a quarter of a billion dollars!

Meanwhile, these assets are desperately needed for the war in Iran. Taking elite pilots and highly specialized aircraft away from active duty or combat readiness to perform stunts can easily be viewed as a misuse of vital resources. They say that air shows are the military's most powerful recruiting tool, and I totally agree! But that recruitment should happen on the ground, not in the air—except for simple flyovers.

So I ask you...

I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair!

I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
And send him on his way.
I'm gonna wave that man right outa my arms,
I'm gonna wave that man right outa my arms,
I'm gonna wave that man right outa my arms,
And send him on his way.

Song by Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers

Well that is what the voters are saying.

It was almost exactly this time 20 years ago that the bottom began to fall out on George W. Bush’s approval ratings. And as Bush’s numbers in most polls fell into the 30s for the first time in late winter and early spring, the culprit was clear: the Iraq war.

History could be repeating itself with President Donald Trump in 2026. Just swap Iraq with Iran.

Three new polls released Tuesday showed Trump’s approval rating in the mid-30s: 36% in a Reuters-Ipsos poll, 35% in a Strength in Numbers-Verasight poll and 33% in an AP-NORC poll. They follow an NBC News poll over the weekend that showed Trump hitting a new low of 37%.

Over the past month now, eight of nine quality polls tracked by CNN have shown Trump in the 30s.

The only exception was a Fox News poll pegging Trump at 41%, but even that showed Trump with his worst numbers in its polls since 2017.

[...]

And perhaps more troubling for Trump, the trendline in his second term has been remarkably consistent — consistently down.
Glub... Glub... Glub!
A big reason for that appears to be views of his handling of the economy, which the Iran war — and the rising gas prices that have accompanied it — has sent to new lows.
As the Iran war goes down the tubes, Trump lashes out for anything to save him.
Reuters-Ipsos, AP-NORC and NBC polls show approval in mid-30s, with economy, Iran and immigration concerns
The Guardian

22 Apr 2026

A trio of political polls indicate public approval of Donald Trump’s management of the US economy, immigration and the Iran conflict is slipping, flashing warning lights for Trump-aligned Republican candidates with six months to go until the US midterm elections.

[...]

A Reuters-IPSOS poll published on Wednesday also found that Trump’s signature migrant deportation policies could harm Republicans in November’s congressional elections: 52% of Americans said they were less likely to support a candidate who backs Trump’s approach to deportations, significantly more than the 42% who said they were more likely to support such a candidate.

[...]

But the challenges faced by Republican candidates to defend their twin majorities in Congress are stark. The poll found that one-third of Americans believe the country is on the right track while two-thirds believe it is on the wrong track.

The economy continues to be the top issue, with 29% saying it is the issue that matters most to them right now, while 24% said threats to democracy, 12% said healthcare and 10% said crime and safety, NBC polling found.

Meanwhile, two-thirds, or 67%, said they disapprove of Trump’s handling of the war with Iran, with one-third approving. Those figures grow more stark among Democrats and independents, showing almost all Democrats and 82% of independents disapproving, but 74% of Republicans approving.
His supporters for his immigration policies all turned south with images of US citizens being shot in the back of his head!
His supporters for his promised of no more wars walked away from him with the attack on Iran!
His supporters for his promised on the economy zipped their pocketbooks!
His women supporters dropped him over abortion bans!
His over-the-top attacks on us is turning away votes!

The voters are going to wash him right out White House!

They Just Made A Big Mistake

[Editorial]

The Republicans just made a big, big mistake! Huge.

The Hour reported that,
“As the 102 Democratic majority stood up and cheered, Republicans including Sen. Rob Sampson of Wolcott, Rep. Ben McGorty of Shelton, Rep. Kurt Vail of Stafford walked out. State Rep. Cara Pavalock-D'Amato of Bristol wore a sweater with the words "ICE IN," on the back. The walkout and ICE criticism comes at a time of heightened tension and scrutiny nationwide.”
While Republicans continue to harp on crime and undocumented immigrants, residents are starting to look around and ask: Where? Most of us don’t see it. Yes, crime exists, but we don’t need federal "surge" tactics in our neighborhoods. As the GOP tries to force national rhetoric into local politics, voters are seeing through the facade.

We see the videos on Facebook and the reports on TV. We see the violence and realize: That isn’t us. We aren’t like that. So why are there ICE raids here?

As the polls show, the people don’t like what they are seeing,  Quinnipiac University reported that,
“61% Of Voters Think The Trump Administration Has Not Given An Honest Account Of The Fatal Shooting Of Alex Pretti, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; 58% Of Voters Think DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Should Be Removed”
So I hope that the Connecticut Republicans continue supporting Trump. Because the voters are saying enough! Enough!

Wow six! It is a regular crime wave! This is the bull that the CT Republicans are pushing! Six undocumented arrested by ICE and they want to call in ICE thugs!

And this also is why they are losing...
In the weeks since ICE agents began conducting operations across the city, Westminster Presbyterian has given its members a place to protest on their own terms.
The New York Times
By Claire Fahy
Feb. 3, 2026

On Sunday morning, as some people packed the diners in downtown Minneapolis in search of warm breakfast and coffee, others filed into the pews at Westminster Presbyterian.

One detail, however, hinted that this wasn’t a typical weekly service — a woman with knitting needles was making a red hat worn by many of those who have poured into the streets to deplore the presence of immigration agents.

The church offered a quieter but, for many, an equally powerful form of protest: prayer. Absent were the animal onesies and profanity-laden chants of the crowds outside the B.H. Whipple Federal Building. In their place were hymns, scripture and a full-throated sermon.

“The main reason why Operation Metro Surge has not gone according to the Department of Homeland Security’s plan is because the architects assumed that Minnesotans would turn on one another, or decide that it’s too costly to show solidarity to people who are suffering or who are gripped by fear,” the Rev. Matthew Skinner declared from the pulpit. “So far, we haven’t done that.”

Places of worship have played pivotal roles in protests throughout history. The Presbyterian Church has urged members into action in the Revolutionary War and supported the civil rights movement. Since Immigration and Customs Enforcement began operations in Minnesota in December, leaders of many faiths have provided support for the people resisting.
ICE’s presence isn't driving wedges between us; it’s uniting us. We see the violence and hear the rhetoric, and we respond: That this is not us. That is not the U.S. The Republicans seem to have forgotten the lessons of Selma, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Little Rock. They’ve forgotten that there comes a point where the American people simply say, "Enough." In the 1960s, that message was delivered on the evening news; today, it’s being delivered via social media.

These aren't "radical leftists" protesting in the streets or praying in the pews—they are our neighbors. And that is exactly why the GOP is losing the room.

Glub, Glub, Glub!

On a lake, when the ice cracks, you can hear it propagate across the water… ICE is doing the same with the Republicans; you can see the cracks spreading.

Slowly, Trump is sinking! He is way down in the polls, and ICE is the albatross pulling him down!

Summary
  • Trump's immigration tactics cause unease among voters, potentially threaten Republican midterm prospects
  • Republican strategists warn of political risks from aggressive immigration enforcement
  • Democrats see opportunity in opposing Trump's immigration crackdown, aim to mobilize voters
  •  President Donald Trump's hardline immigration agenda, a key force behind his return to the White House in 2024, is increasingly showing signs of becoming a liability, threatening Republican prospects in the November midterm elections.
What was once his most potent campaign issue is now driving unease among voters unsettled by the administration’s aggressive tactics in its immigration crackdown, including the targeting of U.S. citizens and violent measures against peaceful protesters.

Illegal immigration and inflation were the twin issues that helped Trump win the election. Now, opinion polls show a growing number of Americans, including key independent voters, are unhappy with Trump's handling of both, putting Republicans on the defensive ahead of the midterms.
The cracks are showing — the people do not like what Trump is doing!

The cracks are spreading.
The lake is no longer silent.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is on “very thin ice,” a White House official told MS NOW.
By Laura Barrón-López, Jake Traylor, Marc Santia, Jacqueline Alemany, and Ali Vitali
Dec. 8, 2025,

White House officials have grown frustrated with Kristi Noem’s leadership of the Department of Homeland Security, leading to calls for a new secretary to more aggressively support key parts of the president’s deportation agenda, two sources familiar with the situation told MS NOW.

President Trump is considering removing Noem as secretary as early as January, according to a White House official, a current federal official and two former Homeland Security officials.

Noem is on “very thin ice,” a White House official told MS NOW, adding she will likely be replaced early next year. The White House official added that Stephen Miller, President Trump’s deputy chief of staff, is leading the charge to remove Noem.

Frustrations from Miller and other senior White House officials are two-fold. Noem isn’t moving fast enough to build out more detention centers with the money approved in Trump’s big summer spending bill, the White House official and a federal official said. The bill directed $170 billion toward immigration enforcement, with some $75 billion going to ICE alone. That massive cash infusion included $45 billion specifically for detention facilities.

Multiple governors have also called Trump personally and voiced frustration with Noem’s handling of FEMA and disaster relief funds, the White House official told MS NOW.
Now over month later the crack is getting even wider!
Jan 28, 2026

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is under fire for issuing misleading and incendiary information that claimed immigration agents killed an armed Minnesota protestor Saturday because he wanted to "massacre" them.
  • That language has now become a source of controversy in the Trump administration.
  • White House officials are blaming Customs and Border Patrol for furnishing inaccurate information, while others are targeting Stephen Miller, White House deputy chief of staff and top Trump adviser, six sources with knowledge of the situation told Axios.
Why it matters: The episode illustrates the confusion that gripped the administration after the Saturday shooting death of Minnesota protester Alex Pretti. And it shows the influence of Miller, Trump's close and longest-serving political adviser whose dominion in the White House far exceeds his title.
  • Miller's power extends to de facto oversight of Noem, though she's a Cabinet secretary who technically outranks him.
  • "Everything I've done, I've done at the direction of the president and Stephen," Noem told a person who relayed her remarks to Axios.
We are now in the blame-game part of the crack!
Between the lines: Miller said the Minnesota operation didn't follow the guidelines established by the White House in the aftermath of the Jan. 7 shooting of another Minneapolis demonstrator, Renee Good.
  • Specifically, Miller said, Bovino's crew was supposed to divide its force into two groups: One unit was supposed to handle the arrests of specifically targeted "criminal aliens" and the other squad was in charge of crowd control to keep "disruptors" from interfering.
  • "The White House provided clear guidance to DHS that the extra personnel that had been sent to Minnesota for force protection should be used for conducting fugitive operations to create a physical barrier between the arrest teams and the disruptors," Miller said.
  • "We are evaluating why the CBP team may not have been following that protocol."
No, no it wasn't me it was... the finger pointing begins!

Key senators urge resignation as Democrats threaten to impeach DHS secretary if Trump does not fire her
The Guardian
Chris Stein in Washington
Tue 27 Jan 2026

Top House Democrats on Tuesday told Donald Trump to fire Kristi Noem or they would launch impeachment proceedings against the homeland security secretary, in response to the weekend killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, as two Republican senators join calls for her to resign.

The ultimatum from Democrats came after a majority of the House caucus signed on to articles of impeachment introduced earlier in the month in response to the shooting death of Renee Good, who, like Pretti, was a US citizen killed by federal agents during the increasingly violent immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota’s largest city.

“The violence unleashed on the American people by the Department of Homeland Security must end forthwith. Kristi Noem should be fired immediately, or we will commence impeachment proceedings in the House of Representatives,” said Hakeem Jeffries, the House minority leader, and his two deputies, Katherine Clark and Pete Aguilar, in a joint statement.
The guys got the perfect fall-girl to rap.

Thump, thump, that was the sound of the Republican clown car running over Kristi.

Mini-Post: Thank You Mr. Trump

Hey... you just set some new records!

You should really be proud of yourself! Three. records in one week... WOW!

Layoff announcements soared in October as companies recalibrated staffing levels during the artificial intelligence boom, a sign of potential trouble ahead for the labor market, according to outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Job cuts for the month totaled 153,074, a 183% surge from September and 175% higher than the same month a year ago. It was the highest level for any October since 2003. This has been the worst year for announced layoffs since 2009.

“Like in 2003, a disruptive technology is changing the landscape,” said Andy Challenger, workplace expert and chief revenue officer at the firm. “At a time when job creation is at its lowest point in years, the optics of announcing layoffs in the fourth quarter are particularly unfavorable.”

The report provides a glimpse into the labor market at a time when the government has suspended data gathering and releases during the shutdown in Washington, D.C.
Amazing... you broke the record set all the way back at the turn of the century! Are you proud of your self Donald?
November 5, 2025

The ongoing government shutdown entered its 36th full day on Wednesday, which officially makes it the longest in U.S. history.

It takes the title from the most recent shutdown, which stretched from December 2018 to January 2019 during the first Trump administration.

[...]

While Republicans control both chambers, they need 60 votes to pass a spending bill in the Senate. Democrats are using that as leverage to push for an extension of Affordable Care Act subsidies that are due to expire at the end of this year, potentially leaving millions of Americans without health insurance. Republicans have said they are open to talks on the subsidies — but only after the government reopens.
You know that takes some real effort in not doing a damn thing to end the impasse!

And the third record took some effort on your part to get the lowest polling numbers for a president!

The Economist wrote,
Once the honeymoon is over, presidents tend to lose popularity quickly. But no recent president has fallen so low so quickly as Donald Trump. At the start of his second term public opinion was nearly evenly divided between those who approved of the president and those who did not. Now his net approval rating—those who approve of the job he is doing less those who do not—is minus 18. That is three percentage points lower than any point in his first term. Mr Trump’s numbers are poor even on the issues at the centre of his political platform. Net approval for his handling of immigration is minus 7. On inflation and prices, it is minus 33.

The biggest shift away from Mr Trump has been among Americans under 30 years old. His net approval among that group was positive 3 when he returned to the Oval Office. Now it is minus 40. His ratings among Hispanic and black Americans, which began negative, have also plummeted. And white Americans, who approved of him on net by 16 points back in January, are now evenly split. According to analysis by The Economist, every state, save Idaho, has moved against Mr Trump. Oklahoma has swung hardest, from positive 27 net approval to minus 12.
You know Mr. Trump it really takes work to hit the bottom so early in your term!

I Agree

  • The Ballroom.
  • The prosecution of Letitia James, James Comey, and John Bolton.
  • The troops being used against civilians.
  • ICE.
  • The pardons.
  • The corruption,
People are noticing! People are not liking what they are seeing!

President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom saga last week followed a familiar Trump-era arc: A bunch of the president’s critics sounded the alarm about his latest provocation – in this case, the sudden and surprising demolition of the East Wing – and a bunch of other people questioned what the big deal was.

He’s just building a ballroom, after all. And the White House kind of needed a ballroom!

“Of all the reasons to criticize President Trump, this must count as the silliest,” the often-Trump-skeptical National Review wrote.

The Washington Post editorial board said Trump was characteristically “pursuing a reasonable idea in the most jarring manner possible.” But it praised him for charging ahead and delivering “a shot across the bow at NIMBYs everywhere.”

Well, it turns out most Americans see plenty to dislike about Trump’s handling of the East Wing and the ballroom.

In fact, it appears to be one of the more unpopular things he’s done in this second term. And it’s not just those who dislike Trump that are objecting.
These are all like a dripping faucet... drip, drip, drip...

He got elected on promises on bring down inflation... the voters are still waiting.
He promised to deport undocumented aliens but his tactics disgusts them.
He promised to get rid of waste and fraud but they see the courts being for retaliation against his pollical opponents.

The British Guardian reported,
Sixty three per cent said Trump had had a negative impact on grocery prices, and 61% said he had had a negative impact on the cost of living. Nearly half, 49%, said the Trump administration had had a negative impact on their finances. Nearly eight out of 10 Americans, including 70% of Republicans, fear that Trump’s tariffs will increase the price of everyday goods.

“Donald Trump has simultaneously raised prices on everyday goods through a reckless approach to tariffs, a decimation of programs that help Americans afford healthcare, education, food and childcare, and then kneecapping federal regulators who keep banks and other big businesses from swindling consumers,” said Julie Margetta Morgan, president of the Century Foundation.
A Quinnipiac poll found what the voters think about the shutdown;
Among independents, 48 percent think Republicans in Congress are more responsible, while 32 percent think Democrats in Congress are more responsible and 14 percent volunteered that they think both parties are equally responsible.
He is creating a broad base of unhappy voters!

As for us. It is a mixed bag... the independent voters favor long-established LGBTQ+ rights like same-sex marriage and non-discrimination protections. But... they are undecided about us.
A new 19th News/SurveyMonkey poll shows that the number of people who don’t want politicians to focus on trans issues has grown, fueled by both Republicans and Democrats.

President Donald Trump has taken aim at trans people during his first 100 days in office in his second term. He has sought to restrict access to accurate passports, erase the accomplishments of trans elders, remove transgender members from the military and purge the government of what he has termed “woke gender ideology.” But a new 19th News/SurveyMonkey poll shows that 49 percent of Americans think politicians should not be focusing on transgender issues at all.

[...]

Democrats and Independents are less likely than they were in September to think politicians should be protecting transgender rights, and 42 percent of Democrats think politicians should not focus on trans issues — up from 33 percent last year.

More Republicans also think politicians shouldn’t focus on trans issues — 57 percent vs 53 percent last year — and the number who think lawmakers should concentrate on restricting transgender rights has fallen.

Overall, despite the Trump administration’s attempts to erase trans people from public life, the majority of Americans (59 percent) support the right of transgender adults to access gender-affirming care. However, fewer Americans, 43 percent, support the right of trans youth to seek such care. That doesn’t necessarily translate into a desire for bans. In fact, 55 percent opposed laws that would restrict gender-affirming care for minors, including 41 percent of Republicans and 57 percent of Independents.
The more sh*t Trump dishes out the more people are rebelling and the greater the base that opposes him becomes!. You know the old saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" well Trump is going to find out that he is uniting the base against him.

The more the Republicans do to keep us from see the Epstein Files the more people question what's in them!

Anatomy of a Fraud

A fraud committed on the American people.
Fact #1 On July 31st he said he was building a 650 banquet room.
Fact #2 In September preliminary work began.
Fact #3 On October 20, 2025 people started to question what is going on and he now said it will hold 999. It also was increased to two stories!
Fact #4 As a retied engineer no way can you have a major design change in two months. The drawings had to go reviews by the following federal agencies:
1. Designer / Architect
2. Structural Engineer
3. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Engineers
4. Code Compliance Reviewer / Building Official
5. Historic Preservation Officer (I doubt very much Trump even considered getting their approval)
6. Project Manager / Owner’s Representative
7. Contractor / Construction Manager
8. Regulatory Agencies / Environmental Review

Even if you ignore anything after #3 it still will take about an year from conception to shovel ready.
So what trump said we all lies… totals lies he had this work started at least last fall!

Also consider... President Trump appointed Will Scharf, a top White House aide, as the head of the NCPC on July 10, 2025. And it was Scharf who made a distinction between demolition work and actual construction, stating that the commission's jurisdiction is limited to the latter.

To me that sound like premeditation! That is fraud! He planned on doing the typical con man switch, sell you one thing and give you another... he playing us for a shill!

He lied when he said it was only going to build a "small ballroom" of 650... then wham... he pulls the rug out from under us. With the ol' bait and switch!
President Donald Trump is tearing down the East Wing to build a $250 million ballroom.

President Donald Trump’s move to demolish part of the White House to make way for a $250 million ballroom is eliciting outrage and calls for more oversight before any further changes are made.

Images of a partially destroyed East Wing, first published by The Washington Post on Monday, sparked an outcry online and a quick defense from the White House.

[...]

Trump’s appointee as chair of the National Capital Planning Commission, his White House staff secretary Will Scharf, stoutly defended the White House’s work during the commission’s last videotaped public hearing, held Sept. 4.

“I think it’s one of the most exciting construction projects in the modern history of the district,” Scharf said, “and I think any assertion that this commission should have been consulted earlier than it has been or than it will be is simply false and represents a misunderstanding of this commission’s role in that project.”

Scharf said the commission “has long denied that it has jurisdiction over demolition and site preparation work for federal buildings, on federal property. What we deal with is essentially construction, vertical build.”
Sit up! Roll over! Beg! That's a good lapdog.

CBS News reported that,

House Democrats, disturbed by what they see as the destruction of a historic landmark, are demanding answers about the forthcoming White House ballroom. In a letter to President Trump, a trio of Democrats expressed concern about "transparency, funding priorities, the physical integrity of the White House and the ethical integrity of the Administration it houses."

Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, along with Democratic Reps. Yassamin Ansari of Arizona and Jared Huffman of California, wrote that decisions about the ballroom addition "were made in complete secrecy" and without "public disclosure or proper consultation."

[...]

Garcia, Huffman and Ansari asked the White House to turn over communication related to the ongoing demolition. They also requested architectural plans, a detailed budget for the project, a list of all donors and legal justifications for the structure.

Democrats lack the power to unilaterally subpoena documents, so the letter amounts to a voluntary request — not a binding demand.
Okay. Who want to bet?

"Glub-Glub,"

That is the sound a drowning man makes as they sink, and that is the sound Trump makes as he watching his polling numbers drop like a rock!
The Hill
by Sarah Fortinsky
09/17/25

President Trump’s approval rating dropped to its lowest level of his second term in the YouGov/Economist poll released Tuesday.

In the weekly survey, conducted this past weekend, 39 percent of surveyed Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the presidency, down from the 41 percent recorded over the last three weeks and 40 percent recorded in mid-August.

In the latest survey, 57 percent of Americans disapprove of the president’s handling of his post, also a record for his second term.
Trump is drowning in the polls, and like a cornered animal that is when they are at their most dangerous!

I worry that he will lash out at us to improve his polling numbers like he said...

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is reportedly preparing to categorize transgender people as “violent extremists,” a categorization supported by organizations affiliated with Project 2025.

According to a September 18 report by independent journalist Ken Klippenstein, two anonymous national security officials said that the Bureau is discussing treating trans subjects as a subset of its new threat category, “Nihilistic Violent Extremists” (NVEs), which was created earlier this year. The Bureau defines “Nihilistic Violent Extremism” as “criminal conduct… in furtherance of political, social, or religious goals that derive primarily from a hatred of society at large and a desire to bring about its collapse by sowing indiscriminate chaos.”
So what's next... round us up and put us into concentration camps?
Officials said that such a classification would give the Trump administration “political (and media) cover” as they escalate their anti-trans campaign in the aftermath of right-wing pundit Charlie Kirk’s death.

“They are cynically targeting trans people because the shooter’s lover was trans,” an unnamed senior intelligence official told Klippenstein. “The administration has convinced itself that the Charlie Kirk murder exposes some dark conspiracy.”
And the Republican in Congress are complicit by not acting to curb Trump, instead they are more worried that trump will axe their reelections.
Despite no evidence linking an alleged trans roommate to Robinson’s motivation for shooting Kirk, right-wingers are nevertheless attempting to use this detail to push an anti-trans agenda. In a petition launched on Thursday, the Heritage Foundation — the far-right think tank behind the derided and controversial Project 2025 — and its spin-off group, the Oversight Project, asked the FBI to designate “Transgender Ideology-Inspired Violent Extremism” (TIVE) as a domestic terrorism threat category.
It is like they were just waiting with game book for a trigger incident!

With his numbers in the polls what will Trump do as a distraction?

An Echo Chamber?

I wonder sometimes about the Echo Chamber Effect where you only see posts that favor your world view. So I look at right-wing media to see what they are saying, and a good benchmark right now is the killings of Mr. Kirk.

According to NPR News, Trump places much of the responsibility on what he calls “radical left political violence” for creating an environment in which this kind of killing becomes possible. He accuses those on the left of demonizing people like Kirk — comparing them to Nazis or other extreme villains — using evil or dehumanizing language.

ABC's WISN in Milwaukee wrote that...
Former President Joe Biden posted on X, "There is no place in our country for this kind of violence. It must end now. Jill and I are praying for Charlie Kirk’s family and loved ones."

[...]

Former President Barack Obama responded on X as well, saying, "We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children."

[...]

After the shooting but before Kirk's death was confirmed, California Gov. Gavin Newsom wrote on X, "The attack on Charlie Kirk is disgusting, vile, and reprehensible. In the United States of America, we must reject political violence in EVERY form."

On the same platform, Democratic Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker wrote that political violence "should never become the norm."
Hmm... who seems to be using the most radical? I aske myself is it the result of the Echo Chamber Effect that I think Trump rhetoric is he driving force behind the rancor over the killing?

Then I questioned what are the polls showing, do they show that the Echo Chamber Effect is distorting my views on the murder? Well there the Echo Chamber Effect is in full effect! Republican voters blame Democrats and Democrats blame the Republicans (Another surprised be that?) and according to the Miami Herald "A 29% plurality of independents said it comes from both sides."

So no surprises there the Echo Chamber Effect is in full bore... Republicans: its the Democrats fault, Democrats its the Republicans fault, and the Independent voter: its both sides are at fault! As Gemini AI replied when asked which party has the most violent rhetoric replied: The key takeaway is that the issue is highly partisan and perceptions are often shaped by one's own political identity and recent events.

I am reminded of a song from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Origins of Love... the part where Zeus said,
Said "I'll split them right down the middle
Gonna cut them right up in half"
And the storm clouds gathered above
Into great balls of fire
That imagery feels weirdly appropriate for this moment. The storm clouds have gathered, and we’re all walking around half-whole, convinced the other side is the real problem.

Maybe the real danger isn’t who’s yelling the loudest—maybe it’s that we’ve stopped listening altogether.

Go For The Moveable Middle

Many of you know that I have a MSW and my concentration is in Community Organizing, one thing that I have learned... Go for the moveable middle.

I was just looking at various polls on Trump and over and over again the Republican voters love him, the Democrat voters hate him and you are not going to change them but...

U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating dropped one percentage point to 40%, the lowest level of his second term in office, as Americans remained concerned about his handling of the economy and immigration, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

The three-day poll, which closed on Monday, surveyed 1,023 U.S. adults nationwide and had a margin of error of 3 percentage points. It showed a nation deeply polarized over Trump, with 83% of Republicans and just 3% of Democrats approving of his performance. About one-third of independents approved.
The last paragraph says it all...      61% of the independents think he is doing a lousy job on the economy! And 55% don't like what he is doing on immigration! The movable middle!

It is the independents we have to go after. in grad school they said, tell those that disagree that you don't agree with them. Thank the supports thank you! And then go to work on the independents and undecided. We got to get them to get out and vote!

Mini-Post: What Do You Think?

I believe on inclusion. Period.

What Trump is doing now with his anti-Woke campaign is discrimination! It is exclusion rather than inclusion. In the 3PM afternoon post I wrote about have Trump & Company is bring back discrimination in the military.

Our language is also bring back discrimination... Woke is the new word meaning "to discriminate." and other words are creeping into the language.

I use "folk" as it was original meant as an inclusive word... But now there is a new word that is being used "folx" according to Merriam-Webster dictionary,
folx
plural noun
ˈfōks
: folks —used especially to explicitly signal the inclusion of groups commonly marginalized

****************************
Folk means...
1
folk or folks plural : people generally
2
folk or folks plural : a certain kind, class, or group of people
old folks
just plain folk
country folk
media folk
3
folks plural : the persons of one's own family
especially : parents
4
: folk music
5
: the great proportion of the members of a people that determines the group character and that tends to preserve its characteristic form of civilization and its customs, arts and crafts, legends, traditions, and superstitions from generation to generation
6
archaic : a group of kindred tribes forming a nation : people

folk

2 of 2
adjective
1
: originating or traditional with the common people of a country or region and typically reflecting their lifestyle
folk hero
folk music
2
: of or relating to the common people or to the study of the common people
folk sociology

Call me old fashion but to me it seem Folk is inclusive and Folx is exclusive.

My Heart Bleeds For Him... Not

What happens when you throw a parade for yourself... a really, really big parade... it got tanks. and planes, and marching troops... oh and did I mention that there were rocket launcher that nobody watched?
While the parade was ostensibly to honor the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday, and not Trump’s 79th, Vance hyped Trump’s remarks as “the main event” of the night.

President Donald Trump finally got his North Korea-style military parade for his birthday Saturday, which featured tanks and rocket launchers rolling down the streets of the capital city before smaller-than-expected crowds.

“Every other country celebrates their victories, it’s about time America did too,” Trump said in a brief, eight-minute speech.

It followed the two-hour parade down Constitution Avenue, during which Trump primarily sat, appeared bored, but occasionally stood to salute the passing troops and military hardware.

Trump and his administration have claimed that the parade was actually to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Army’s founding by the Continental Congress in 1775, not Trump’s 79th. It’s unclear whether the Navy and the Marine Corps, branches also founded in 1775, will similarly get $45 million parades this year. Neither Trump nor the Pentagon has mentioned any such plans.
You remember the first terms inaugural parade how Trump was mad over the comparison to other inaugural parades, that he lied about the size... well it was even more pronounced yesterday! Trump sitting there like some petty dictator. NPR News wrote;
Organizers estimated that more than 5 million people participated in more 2,000 planned protests, according to spokesperson Eunic Ortiz. Events were also held in Germany and France, according to the AP. While protests were peaceful, police in Culpeper, Va., arrested a man who "intentionally accelerated his vehicle into the dispersing crowd," at the end of a protest. One person was hit, but no one was hurt, police said.
Meanwhile back at the Capital... The List writes...
Past events have proven that Donald Trump's ego can't handle dwindling crowd sizes. So, we imagine his reaction behind the scenes regarding the attendance numbers for his military parade on June 14 might not be so good. It was reported that 200,000 people were estimated to attend his birthday celebration, but judging by videos of the event, the turnout was a lot lower than expected. Mark Seagraves, a reporter for NBC 4 in D.C., posted a video on X, formerly Twitter, exposing the disappointing number of people who actually showed up to the party. "The #Army250 parade starting 30 minutes early due to incoming weather. Crowd nowhere near the 200,000 expected," Seagraves wrote.
But you know in Boston, rain didn't affect the "No Kings" rally turnout. From the photos of the parade's crowd it appeared to be largely supportive white men with many wearing "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) hats and shirts.

Gemini AI when asked about the crowd size wrote...
Yesterday, June 14, 2025, saw a stark contrast in public gatherings across the United States: President Trump's military parade in Washington D.C. and the nationwide "No Kings" protests. Here's a comparison and contrast of their attendance:

## Trump's Military Parade (Washington D.C.)

**Attendance:**

* **Lower than Anticipated:** Official predictions and Secret Service estimates suggested around 200,000 people would attend the parade and associated events. However, reports from the ground indicated that attendance "fell far short of early predictions" and there were "considerably fewer people on the National Mall" than for typical large-scale events like the Fourth of July. Some news outlets even described the turnout as "underwhelming" or a "flop."
* **Targeted Audience:** The crowd that did attend appeared to be largely supportive of President Trump, with many wearing "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) hats and shirts.
* **Focus:** The parade was explicitly organized to commemorate the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary, coinciding with President Trump's 79th birthday. It featured thousands of soldiers, military vehicles (including tanks), and aircraft, showcasing military history and modern capabilities. The event aimed to be a display of national strength and pride, with President Trump delivering remarks defending the decision to hold the celebration.

**Attendance:**

* **Widespread and Significant:** The "No Kings" protests were far more geographically dispersed, occurring in "hundreds" to "nearly 2,000" cities and towns across the U.S.
* **High Numbers:** Organizers claimed "millions of participants" nationwide. While precise, independently verified numbers for all locations are hard to come by, specific city estimates indicate very large turnouts:
    * **Los Angeles:** Over 200,000 people (organizers' estimate).
    * **New York City:** "Tens of thousands," with some sources reporting over 50,000.
    * **Philadelphia:** Around 100,000.
    * **Chicago:** Estimated at 75,000 by organizers (police initially estimated 20,000).
    * **Seattle:** "Tens of thousands" (Seattle Police).
    * **Boston:** Combined with Pride marches, some local reports suggested over 1 million people.
    * **Dallas:** Over 11,000.
    * **Hartford, CT:** 9,000-10,000 (Capitol Police estimate).
    * Numerous other cities and towns, even small communities, saw hundreds to thousands of participants.
* **Diverse Participants:** Protests drew diverse crowds united by a common anti-Trump sentiment, expressing concerns about authoritarianism, immigration policies, and the militarization of democracy. Many carried signs with messages like "No Kings Since 1776," "Trump Must Go Now," and "F—K ICE."
* **Focus:** The protests were a direct counter to the Trump administration's policies and the perceived nature of the military parade. The "No Kings" theme explicitly rejected what organizers viewed as an authoritarian approach to governance, comparing Trump's actions to those of a monarch rather than a democratically elected president. The protests were also fueled by recent escalations in federal immigration enforcement.
What do you think of the parade?
And also what do you think about the "No King" rallies?

The people have spoken! Will millions rallying around the U.S. speaking out against authoritarianism and you know what? It was a peaceful protests by millions!

This is amazing!!!!

There is an article in "The Atlantic" you might want to read, I found it while researching this post, "The Shame of Trump’s Parade"

Impact!

We know what it is like now there is a report showing the damage Trump & Company is doing to us!

Executive Summary

Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign focused heavily on eliminating legal protections for transgender people. In its first few months, the Trump administration has already attempted to roll back transgender rights in several areas. Recognizing the challenging environment that transgender people would face under the Trump administration, we conducted an anonymous survey of transgender people in December 2024 to understand their concerns and coping strategies. The survey used a two-fold recruitment strategy, and the following findings are based on responses from 302 transgender, nonbinary, and other gender-diverse people we refer to as “transgender” in this report. Over a third of the respondents in our sample were people of color, and over 40% made under $50,000 a year.
As we in the community knew Trump was effecting underprivileged and youth the most. We see it all the time, the Blacks and Latinos have it worst, they get the blunt of the discrimination because intersectionality. But now we all are seeing the results of trump bigotry.
Key Findings

Impact on Traveling in the United States

  • Thirty percent of respondents said they were traveling less frequently due to the 2024 election.
  • Most respondents (70%) said that they would be much (48%) or somewhat (22%) less likely to go on vacation to states they viewed as less trans-affirming.
  • Regarding canceling travel plans, approximately one in six respondents reported having canceled travel plans to a state they viewed as less trans-affirming (8%) or considering canceling travel plans to such a state (8%).
  • Respondents generally said that they were avoiding traveling to more politically conservative states, Southern and Midwestern states, and states with high levels of anti-transgender legislation.
Impact on Relocation within the United States

  • As of December 2024, almost half of respondents (48%) had already moved or were considering moving to a location in the United States they viewed as more trans-affirming.
  • When asked more specifically what cities or states they want to move to, most respondents mentioned progressive cities or politically liberal states, with California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, and Washington State frequently named.
  • Among respondents who were currently employed part-time or full-time in states with laws and policies that were less supportive of transgender people, 40% were either already applying for jobs in states they viewed as more trans-affirming (14%) or were considering applying for employment in such states (26%).
  • The most frequently reported reasons for wanting to move were all related to concerns about the increasingly hostile policy landscape or sociopolitical climate for transgender people. These included concerns about LGBTQ rights in general (76%), the sociopolitical climate (71%), anti-trans rhetoric and climate in the state (60%), and anti-transgender laws and policies in their state (47%).
  • When asked separately about how much they wanted to move out of state, 37% said they very much (22%) or somewhat (15%) wanted to move out of state. Respondents who lived in states with laws and policies less supportive of transgender people (57%) were more likely to want to move out of state than those who lived in states with more supportive laws and policies (19%).
  • For the respondents who indicated that they somewhat or very much wanted to relocate to another state, many frequently selected barriers to moving had to do with the costs of moving and other economic issues. These barriers included the cost of relocating (82%), the cost of living (64%), difficulty in getting another job or other employment concerns (56%), and housing concerns and issues (49%). Other concerns noted by many of these respondents included the hassle of relocating (66%) and that they would be moving away from their family of origin (44%).
    • Notably, these barriers were similar to those most frequently identified by the full sample of respondents (including those who indicated that they did not want to move), suggesting that for some, the barriers to moving might have already dampened their desire to move. Among all respondents, the top barriers to moving identified also included the costs of relocating (54%), the hassle of relocating (49%), the cost of living (43%), and difficulty in getting another job or other employment concerns (36%).
I seen request that families fleeing Republicans for in in lodging while they get settled here, that is such a sad blot on our country. That just like the underground Railroad during slavery we now families with trans children fleeing because persecution.
Factors Impacting Transgender People’s Desire to Move
  • Nearly half (46%) of those who viewed their local community as less LGBTQ-friendly wanted to move out of their state, compared to 26% of those who viewed their local community as more LGBTQ-friendly. Those in less LGBTQ-friendly local communities were also more likely to want to move out of the country (25% vs. 15%).
  • Over half (57%) of those who lived in states with laws and policies that were less supportive of transgender people wanted to move to another state, compared to 18% in states with more supportive laws and policies. Among transgender people in states with laws and policies that were less supportive of transgender people: About two-thirds (65%) of those concerned about what a Trump presidency could mean for them as a transgender person in general wanted to move out of state, compared to 17% of those who were less concerned. They were also more likely to want to move out of the country (22% v. 8%).
  • Nearly three-quarters (72%) of those concerned that the quality of their health care would decrease due to Trump’s election wanted to move out of state, compared to one-quarter (26%) of those who were less concerned. They were also more likely to want to move out of the country (26% vs. 6%).
  • Nearly two-thirds (63%) of those who indicated that they were concerned about discrimination as a result of Trump’s election wanted to move out of state, compared to 25% of those who were less concerned. They were also more likely to want to move out of the country (25% vs. 4%).
  • Two-thirds (67%) of those who indicated that they were concerned about being the victim of a hate crime as a result of Trump’s election wanted to move out of state, compared to one-third (34%) of those who were less concerned. They were also more likely to want to move out of the country (26% vs. 16%).
  • Further, among those with lower incomes ($50K or less in household income) who lived in states with laws and policies that were less supportive of transgender people, 73% wanted to move out of the state, compared to 46% of those with higher incomes in these states. They were also more likely to want to move out of the country (32% vs. 14%).
Sad, sad news that people have to flee state where they lived all their lives. And things are getting worst! Because of the constant lies from the Republicans we are losing support from the population!
Pew Research

Since taking office, President Donald Trump has signed several executive orders related to transgender people. These have included orders banning trans women and girls from women’s sports and ending federal funding for health care related to gender transitions for youth.

A new Pew Research Center survey finds that majorities of U.S. adults favor or strongly favor laws and policies that:
  • Require trans athletes to compete on teams that match their sex assigned at birth (66%)
  • Ban health care professionals from providing care related to gender transitions for minors (56%)
[...]

The survey also finds that more Americans support than oppose laws and policies that:
  • Require trans people to use public bathrooms that match their sex at birth, rather than the gender they identify with (49% favor or strongly favor, 26% oppose or strongly oppose)
  • Make it illegal for public school districts to teach about gender identity in elementary schools (47% favor or strongly favor, 34% oppose or strongly oppose)
  • In turn, adults are much more likely to oppose than favor policies requiring health insurance companies to cover medical care for gender transitions (53% vs. 22%).
What we need to do... is to reply to all the Republican lies. We need a "Truth Squad" to counter social media, to counter letter-to-the-editor, we need people to talk in the media, TV, radio, podcasts., cable public access channels... we need to speak to Lions Clubs, the Elks Clubs... anyone who wants to listen to us.

No Choice

There is no choice this morning. To find articles I search Google News for articles but this morning they are all one topic.

The Defense Department will begin screening troops for gender dysphoria during their routine physicals in an effort to boot transgender service members from the armed forces.

In a memo published Thursday, the Pentagon’s acting head of personnel and readiness tasked unit commanders to help implement the policy “immediately.”

“Commanders who are aware of service members in their units with gender dysphoria, a history of gender dysphoria or symptoms consistent with gender dysphoria will direct individualized medical record reviews of such service members to confirm compliance with medical standards,” the memo states.
Whoa! They are hunting not only those of us who have transitioned but also symptoms consistent with gender dysphoria... Boy what a witch hunt that will turn into. Will they root-out feminine men or butch women... what about gays and lesbian?

They are bribing us to do the "Right think"
Active duty service members now have until June 6 to voluntarily identify, and reserve members have until July 7. If they do not do so by then, the official said, they will receive a lower severance package and face involuntary removal.
NPR Heard on All Things Considered
By Ailsa Chang, Patrick Jarenwattananon, and Alejandra Marquez Janse
May 13, 2025

Col. Bree Fram, an openly transgender member of the U.S. Space Force, is also one of the highest-ranking transgender service members in the armed forces.

All Things Considered host Ailsa Chang spoke with Fram about how this moment affects her life and job.

Fram told NPR she was speaking in a personal capacity and her views "are not necessarily reflective of the Department of Defense."

[...]

Bree Fram: Well, I was devastated and heartbroken by the decision because it doesn't take into account the real harm that is occurring right now, not just to individual transgender service members, but also to this nation and to our national defense now and far into the future. Because lives are being upended and even if the court cases continue to play out, we are going to lose thousands of highly trained, highly capable skilled individuals that are serving their nation and doing everything that is being asked of them right now here at home and deployed all around the world.

Chang: What about you, Col. Fram? The Trump administration has given active duty trans service members until early next month, right, to leave voluntarily? Have you reached a personal decision about what you will do? What can you tell us?

Fram: One thing I want to make clear is this is not a choice. No one is going to voluntarily choose to leave. We have been told that we are not wanted. And if this policy was not here, no one would be saying, "I'm out." But right now, we're in the space where people have to make the best decision for them and for their families. And that includes me.
All the NATO countries have trans servicemembers and have no problems with military readiness... it just more of Trump lies, trans troops severed in combat for almost tens years and their performance has excelled!

The Denver Gazette from  writes...
Fort Carson Sgt. Mason Benavides is leaving an army that no longer wants him.

He is one of about 1,000 military service members voluntarily leaving, the Department of Defense announced Thursday after a Supreme Court order that said the Trump administration’s ban on transgender soldiers could be enforced.

[...]

After nearly six years in the Army , Benavides found it insulting. He’s previously received positive feedback from his leadership team, who have told him he is a valuable asset as a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist.

“It said I was unfit to serve with integrity,” he said. Later that day, he hit a new personal record lifting weights because he was so mad

[...]

After the Supreme Court issued its decision, the plaintiffs in the case called it discriminatory.

“We remain steadfast in our belief that this ban violates constitutional guarantees of equal protection and will ultimately be struck down,” Lambda Legal and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation said in a statement.
It is one big lie coming out of the White House that we are not combat ready, that we hold back the performance of the military which is one big lie! You can see the lie by looking at their performance of trans soldiers for the last nine years and also by looking at our performance in the NATO militaries.

Axios writes
What they're saying: Alaina Kupec, a former Naval intelligence officer, told Axios she thinks "this is a path toward don't ask, don't tell again — and it starts with the transgender community."

"If we use the logic of the president and the secretary of defense, they can make a decision on who is best to serve based on what they think, not what's based on fact," she said.
I believe that eventually women will be removed from combat roles, the removal of all LGBTQ+ servicemembers. The promotion of Christian Nationalist will lead to the alignment of a pro-Christian military.

Here is my concern, with the expulsion of us, the possible targeting of gays and lesbians in the military, and with discharge of high level officers and the replacing them with Christian Nationalist that they are making the military loyal to Trump and not the Constitution.

Mini-Post: Phew!

The Pew Research has just released a new study of religion in America...

Hmm... 58% of non religious people support us... what does that say about religion?
