Attention, Attention! You Will Have Your Papers Ready/

Look who Trump wants for government efficiency commission?
September 5, 2024

Former President Trump said during an economic speech Thursday that if elected, his administration would create an Elon Musk-inspired government efficiency commission that would audit U.S. agencies.

Why it matters: Rarely does the public see how an idea from an influential business leader makes its way into a campaign platform.
  •     Trump backed the idea, first pitched by the Tesla billionaire weeks ago, before a group of high profile academics and business leaders at the Economic Club of New York.
  •     Musk has said this commission would aim to examine how agencies are spending money, and eliminate "unsensible" spending.
What he's saying: "I will create a government efficiency commission tasked with conducting a complete financial and performance audit of the federal government and making recommendations for drastic reforms," Trump said.
  •     He also said he would make America "the world capital for crypto and Bitcoin," a line that got applause from the audience.
  •     Trump also said the nation should have a sovereign wealth fund created with revenue generated by his tariff proposals. The profits, Trump said, could be used to pay down debt.
Weird! Who ever heard of it, who is going to pay for it.
The big picture: In the speech, Trump again vowed to cut corporate tax rates, slap tariffs on imported goods and eliminate ten regulations for every new one out in place.
Hold it right there! That is Project 2025!!!

They want to bring us back to the era of the Love Channel, smog, industrial accidents, water pollution, Flint Michigan and all the horrors of the Robber Barons of the 1890.

Former President Trump on Saturday threatened to legally target individuals who he has accused of fraud related to his 2020 electoral defeat if he wins the presidential race in November, making one of his clearest pledges to date to go after his opponents.

Trump, who has repeatedly claimed that the 2020 election was fraudulent and rigged despite there being no evidence of widespread fraud, accused Democrats of “rampant Cheating and Skullduggery” in 2020 and said the 2024 race “will be under the closest professional scrutiny.”

“WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences so that this Depravity of Justice does not happen again,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He indicated that lawyers, political operatives, donors, voters and election officials could all be targeted with prosecution.

“Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country,” he added.
Vengeance is mine saith Trump!

Then JD said... Hey wait a minute! I feel left out so let me open my big mouth again.
Some of the children who were affected by the Trump-era policy are now speaking out their experiences in a social media campaign.

Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance declined on Friday to rule out the use of family separations — a policy from Donald Trump’s first term in office — if he and the former president win back the White House, even as Homeland Security officials are currently working to reunify over 1,000 children with their families.

Vice President Kamala Harris, for her part, has said that she would bring back the bipartisan border security bill that failed in the Senate earlier this year after Trump urged congressional Republicans to tank the negotiations. The compromise bill — despite being one of the most conservative bills on border security in modern U.S. history — did not go as far as to call for family separation. As a senator — and later as a candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary — Harris was outspoken against the practice, describing the separations as “punitive” and lacking a “humanitarian approach.”
Um... JD you might want to use your law degree and look up the court ruling that banned family separation.

A federal judge on Friday prohibited the separation of families at the border for purposes of deterring immigration for eight years, preemptively blocking resumption of a lightning-rod, Trump-era policy that the former president hasn’t ruled out if voters return him to the White House next year.

The separation of thousands of families “represents one of the most shameful chapters in the history of our country,” U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw said moments before approving a settlement between the Justice Department and families represented by the American Civil Liberties Union that ended a legal challenge nearly seven years after it was filed.
The Republicans don't care about laws or court ruling they just go and do whatever they damn please.

Vote Blue to bring back justice for all not just a select few.
