To Me This Sounds An Awful Lot...

Like vote buying!
New York Post
By Victor Nava
Sept. 9, 2026

President Trump pledged to give every US citizen a $5,000 dividend Wednesday if Republicans keep the House and Senate after the midterm elections.

“Here is my promise: If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic, tremendous economic success …. I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000,” Trump said at the GOP midterm convention in Dallas.

The president said the so-called “Trump dividend” money must be spent in the US.
While everyone else calls it vote buying!

However Trump’s promise would not only require congressional approval, it would likely spike inflation. With just under 270 million adults living in the U.S., Trump’s $5,000 handout would lead to a budget blowout of up to $1.3 trillion, blowing out America’s existing $1.8 trillion annual budget deficit.

The current U.S. debt is around $40 trillion.

Speaking on Fox News, host Bret Baier raised the $1.3 trillion cost with Vice President JD Vance.

Baier suggested “critics” would say “the president is bribing voters to vote for Republicans... and he is bankrupting the country because the debt is huge and inflation would come back if this comes to play.”
Now get a load of JD's reply, it is a doozy...
Vance called the $5,000 “fundamentally a dividend for American workers” and said it could be funded by revenues raised by U.S. tariffs.
So... who pays for the tariffs? We do.

So, in Republican logic... we get taxed so they can give us our money back... minus shipping and handling charges.

Besides the fuzzy logic, there is also the issue of vote buying!

The British Independent write...
Commentators accused the president of attempting to bribe voters to back Republicans, who are forecast to suffer heavy losses in November.

In a post on X, reporter Sam Stein accused the president of describing "openly bribing people to vote for Republicans."
We have the best government money can buy!

I noticed something in writing this... not one American mainstream news outlet used the word “bribe.”

NPR pussy-footed around it by calling it: “To incentivize voters to cast ballots for Republicans.”

“For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People.”

That is what is written in stone over the entrance of the Roosevelt Arch at the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

But what no one can see is the little asterisk that Trump stuck there… *Unless there is a profit to be made.
The National Park Service is under pressure to make an unprecedented deal that cedes a quarter-mile strip of the park.
NOTUS
By Anna Kramer
August 28, 2026

For more than a year, the National Park Service has been quietly working to fulfill an unprecedented directive from Trump officials: Parcel off a corner of Yosemite National Park to give to a private developer.

National Park Service staff in California and Washington, D.C., are trying to arrange a land exchange between a Nevada-based company and the federal government, according to four people directly familiar with discussions, as well as agency documents reviewed by NOTUS.
The courts once turned them down... but now they are trying a different route: a swap.

Because the ranch is basically landlocked, it takes around 90 minutes to drive around to the park entrance, which is why the previous owner's requests failed. But this new land-exchange tactic changes everything, turning a 90-minute detour into a matter of minutes.

The Sierra News Online writes,
Opponents Warn About Precedent

Critics of the current proposal say the issue extends well beyond the amount of acreage involved.

California Sens. Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff have objected to the potential exchange, while conservation organizations and former park officials have raised concerns about allowing national park property to facilitate private development.

Among those speaking out is John Buckley, executive director of the Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center.

Buckley told NOTUS there is no current residential population at Hazel Green requiring access to Yosemite and argued that the primary reason for the proposed connection is to make new development of the property more feasible.

Critics have also raised concerns about additional traffic, wildfire risk, impacts on natural resources and the precedent that could be created if Yosemite land were exchanged to facilitate private development along the park boundary.

The Yosemite local of the National Federation of Federal Employees, which represents park employees, has also opposed the proposal, saying employees are concerned about potential effects on park resources, visitor safety and an already strained workforce.

Kingsbarn argues that the exchange should be viewed differently.

The company says Hazel Green is already privately owned and can be developed independently of Yosemite. Its position is that providing a shorter route to the park would reduce miles driven over existing roads and that an equal-value land exchange would leave Yosemite with no net loss of acreage.

Then there is that phrase: “... an equal-value land exchange would leave Yosemite with no net loss of acreage.”

The debate is over what “an equal-value land exchange” means. Proponents see it as X acres for X acres, but conservationists see it differently. They see it as thousands of acres of wilderness that will now have a road through it, and you cannot place a price tag on that.

The Guardian reported that,
And while the threat to sell off part of Yosemite National Park is about a quarter-mile parcel on the park’s edge, Yosemite is a crown jewel in the national park system and, arguably, the world’s first national park.

To let any bit of it be sold off for the benefit of a corporation’s planned development on the park’s western border would compromise the inviolability of national parks and sacrifice public good for the sake of private profit. This is of course the ongoing agenda of the Trump administration.

Then there is the fact that it is a National Park… that Congress has set aside for the people of the United States. And this will turn the public land into private land.

Public lands belong to all of us, a gift from the past because people worked hard to protect these forests, mountains, canyons, and a trust for the future, because the public should include everyone in this country alive now and everyone yet to come.

The Trump administration’s ruthless efforts to turn over public lands for mining and logging and fossil fuel exploitation while it also dismantles the Forest Service and Park Service is about turning long-term well-being for the many, human and more-than-human, into short-term profit for an elite.
And here is the kicker… it will be a private road. That means only the billionaires can drive on it to their million-dollar condos, benefiting just a small number of the nobility.

What Gets Me...

I am a little handicapped this morning... I am up at the cottage and guess what I forgot to bring... my mouse! So with the touch pad and the touch screen, I'm getting by.

[Editorial]

What I want to know is why Homeland Security Investigations was watching a U.S. Congresswoman?

Democratic U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar says a Homeland Security Investigations agent was outside her monthly town hall meeting in Richfield, Minnesota, on Thursday.

Omar posted a letter she sent to Michael McCarthy, interim special agent in charge of HSI's office in St. Paul, Minnesota, regarding the incident on social media Monday afternoon. The document said a Richfield police officer noticed a young woman sitting in a Ford Explorer as people arrived at an area community center, where the meeting took place, and "became suspicious of the way she was monitoring the building."
What were they investigating a sitting member of Congress for? I can only think of two reasons why: A) To intimidate her supporters, or B) To gain political intelligence on their opponents, or both.

Think about this... a political party using government agencies to spy on the other political party... harking shades of "Tricky Dick" Nixon!
"Instead of monitoring the area for those who might wish harm to me and my constituents, Richfield Police were required to devote time to investigating why an HSI agent was outside of a Congressional event in a vehicle with mismatched plates," Omar said in a written statement on Monday. "It also raises serious and uncomfortable questions about the purpose of HSI's presence outside of my event."
That's a very, very, good question. And I think another very good question is, on who's orders?

But this intimidation goes a long ways back...

What Is Socialism?

[Essay]

Is the new Republican boogeyman... Have you noticed that the Republican are labeling all the Democrat's socialist! So lets look at definitions:
Communism
noun
a
: a doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism
Note: This doctrine was the official ideology of the Soviet Union.

b
: a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production.

Socialism
noun

1
: any of various egalitarian economic and political theories or movements advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

So what do we have that is called socialist?

Well, let's start with our oldest socialistic programs:
Social Security
Medicare/Medicaid
Unemployment insurance
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
National School Lunch Program

And agencies like:
OSHA
EPA
SEC
The Department of Education

You might notice something about those programs: they are all the programs that the Republicans have targeted or cut in order to pay for their tax cuts for their billionaire friends.

Social Security is supposedly going bankrupt, which is exactly what the Republicans want, as conservatives were against it from day one! There are simple steps that can be taken, but Republicans hate them because they tax their billionaire friends. The first step is to take the $184,500 wage cap off, and anyone who has income above a certain level... say, over a million dollars, would not be eligible to collect Social Security.

Think of Robinhood, because that is how the Republicans think of it: robbing from the rich to pay the

peons. And that, my friends, is why they are trying to use "socialist" as an epithet against everyone. The peasants loved Robinhood; the ruling class thought him a thief! Hmm, can you think of any modern parallels?

Back in the days of the Robber Barons, Rockefeller, Carnegie, J.P. Morgan, and Mellon were the ones in power, just like Thiel, Musk, Zuckerberg, Page, and Brin are today. And they are scared! They know history, they can see their empires facing the threat of being broken up, and they are dumping more money into elections than ever before. Musk bragged that he is personally dumping $200,000,000 into the election—that is how scared he is!

We peons need to come out in force this November; we need a Blue wave!

Who Believes Them?

You know coming out of the White House is some creative thinking... like how can we spin the millions dropping out of healthcare?

The Trump administration credits its fraud control efforts for the disappearance of millions of people from Obamacare rolls rather than a sharp rise in premiums — a claim disputed by policy experts that glosses over the reality that many more Americans now find themselves without health insurance.

Enrollment in Affordable Care Act plans fell by nearly 3 million this year to about 19.2 million, following steep premium increases by insurers and the Republican-led Congress’ unwillingness to extend more generous premium subsidies. On average, ACA customers pay $178 a month in premium payments this year, a 58% increase from 2025, according to KFF, while their deductibles — the amount consumers must pay annually before insurers pick up their share — have climbed 37% to nearly $3,800 a year.

[...]

But a Department of Health and Human Services report released in June, written mostly by President Donald Trump’s political appointees and allies, asserts that 5.6 million people were fraudulently enrolled in ACA plans in 2025, and that the Trump administration removed 2.9 million of them — the same number as the 2026 drop in enrollment.
Trump & Company think we are all marks and don't remember what they did.
But health policy experts say that the administration is overstating the extent of ACA fraud and that the HHS report relies on debatable assumptions, such as that all sign-ups under the year-round enrollment program for low-income people were potentially fraudulent. ACA enrollment fell off a cliff because of escalating prices for insurance plans, policy analysts say, which the administration’s done nothing to stem.

“The top-level claim” that all the decline in enrollment since 2025 is because of improper or fraudulent enrollees leaving the market “is not remotely credible,” said Matthew Fiedler, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. “We know that lots of people have seen higher premiums, and there’s really good evidence that when premiums go up, people drop coverage.”
That we are nothing but dumb rubes, ready to have our pockets picked.

Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire

It's all about headlines, not the truth. It was blasted across the front pages and led the news broadcasts. But it was all fake... designed to grab headlines. What does that say about the bill he is trying to push?

But the claim was fake... just another attempt to grab headlines.

President Survey Year Trustworthy
Barack Obama 2010 58%
George W. Bush 2006 41%
Bill Clinton 1994 46%
Donald Trump 2018 34%

He has the lowest trust rating of any president!
Officials in California, Nevada, New Jersey and Pennsylvania all disputed the allegation.
Snopes
Jack Izzo
July 28, 2026

Claim:
More than 250,000 non-U.S. citizens are registered to vote across California, Nevada, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Rating:
False

Context
The Department of Homeland Security did not provide any evidence supporting its claim, as with many other allegations of widespread voter fraud by President Donald Trump and his administration.
With a trust rating of 34%, nobody but his loyal MAGA followers, who kiss his feet, believes him anymore.
It's worth noting that the claim was about the alleged number of registrations, not number of ballots cast, and that the department used the phrase "there may be as many as" to describe its numbers. DHS provided no evidence supporting its conclusion, and Snopes could not reproduce the findings.
The percentage of those believers is about the same as the percentage of voters who support Trump in election polls.

All Hail The Mighty Dollar!

The power-hungry billionaires and their power-hungry data centers are gobbling up electric power, pushing the grid to its limits. So what do you do to feed the power-hungry monsters? Why, you build more power plants! Pour out more noxious gases.

So what is Trump's answer? Nuclear power. I was okay with that, but then... but then, he lowers the safety standards! So his billionaire friends can make more billions!
AP News
By  JENNIFER McDERMOTT
July 26, 2026

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is proposing to eliminate a foundational safety principle that has for 50 years minimized the radiation people in the United States are exposed to and that has been adopted around the world.

Currently, facilities such as nuclear plants, hospitals or academic institutions that use radioactive materials must ensure radiation exposures are kept “as low as reasonably achievable” — the ALARA principle. The NRC proposal would abandon that philosophy while keeping a separate standard on maximum radiation exposure.

The two standards have worked together in radiation safety. Dose limits set the maximum amount of radiation the public and radiation workers can be exposed to, while ALARA kept radiation exposure as low as practical under those limits. Research shows radiation exposure increases a person’s chance of getting cancer, a risk that increases as the dose increases.
I am going to tell you right now... this is WRONG! This is very WRONG!

I ran an electronic test department for over twenty years! The company that I worked for was all engineers, from the company CEO right on down. My boss was an ex-skipper of a Navy nuke sub. We built just about half the nuclear power plants in the U.S. It originally was Combustion Engineering, and it was engineering. People who built the plants did so for 30, 40 years!

But now the company's DNA has changed; it is starting to be run by private equity firms that have zero experience in building anything! Let alone a nuclear plant!

The AP article goes on...
This comes as President Donald Trump attempts to quadruple domestic nuclear energy production because of surging electricity demand amid a data center and artificial intelligence boom. Reforming the NRC is one way Trump is trying to speed up nuclear reactor development. He instructed the federal agency in an executive order last year to “ adopt science-based radiation limits.”
WAIT, he is doing this because of the data centers his billionaire friends run? He is putting everyone's life in danger for a buck?

And a buck is being made by Trump...
The $6 billion deal aimed at bringing the new form of electricity to the market raises thorny conflict of interest questions.
The Washington Post
By Evan Halper and Drew Harwell
December 18, 2025

A planned $6 billion merger between President Donald Trump’s social media and cryptocurrency company and a fusion power firm may give a boost to efforts to innovate a new form of electricity but raises thorny questions about what the energy company has to gain, economists and ethics experts said.

The companies say the merger is motivated by the Trump firm’s ready access to crucial capital that its new partner, California-based TAE Technologies, can tap in its race to build a fusion power plant. As part of the deal, Trump’s firm will initially invest as much as $300 million in the fusion technology.

Economist Peter Schiff sees another motive: “The only real value DJT offers an energy company is political leverage: access to power and the prospect of favorable treatment from the Trump administration,” Schiff, chief economist at Euro Pacific Asset Management, posted on the social media platform X. “With this merger, it is now obviously well positioned to monetize that access.”

[...]

Rep. Don Beyer (D-Virginia), who founded the bipartisan House Fusion Energy Caucus, said the deal raises “significant concerns about conflicts of interest and avenues for political corruption.” He called for congressional oversight to ensure fusion subsides are spent to benefit the public rather than “the Trump family and their corporate holdings.”
So what do these massive data centers do? Well, a small part of them are used for AI centers, but the vast majority of them are for cloud-based data. But even more sinister is all the data from ALPRs, Ring doorbells, all the security camera data, and all the facial recognition data.

Also, Trump has directed the Department of Defense to identify sites on existing military bases where qualifying data centers and related infrastructure projects could be built. This means some data centers may be located on military installations. He has also described data centers as critical national security infrastructure, while at the same time owning stock in companies tied to the data center industry.

Not only is he cutting safety in the nuclear industry, but he is rolling back EPA standards in air and water, and now nuclear standards.

Update: 7/28 @ 7AM

The Hill wrote that Trump exempted data centers from EPA rules!

The Trump administration announced Monday that it is exempting power plants that only serve data centers and do not connect to the broader grid from pollution limits that seek to prevent acid rain.

The administration announced new guidance on Monday clarifying that these “islanded” power plants do not have to be part of the Clean Air Act’s Acid Rain Program (ARP).

This program requires power plants to reduce emissions of acid rain precursors sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

[...]

The announcement comes as the Trump administration is trying to get data centers to build their own power sources to try to blunt the impacts of their high electricity use on consumer electric bills.
Um... folks. A power source is a power plants.

It is now possible, from the moment you leave your house, fly across country, and walk into an office on the other side of the country, for you to be tracked.

And to do that, it takes gigawatts and gigawatts of power! Both electrical and political.

They Behave Like Kings And Princes

Have you noticed that Trump has a fixation on palaces and gold? What he wants to turn it into is a palace like Versailles or the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg.

To Trump, the White House is just a shanty, and that is why he entertains foreign dignitaries at Mar-a-Lago (besides making a killing by charging the government for their rooms). Traveling back and forth to Mar-a-Largo costs about Trump has made roughly 20–25 round trips between Washington and South Florida since taking office in January 2025 at around about $3–3.5 million per Mar-a-Lago trip!

His vice president wanted to use a military helicopters to fly his son to golf lessons!

Look at how his administration operates. According to The Fulcrum, former staffers have described an environment characterized by low job security, where individuals are viewed as replaceable if they fail to align precisely with administration directives. Let’s put it this way: it is not a friendly work environment.

FBI Director Kash Patel has been accused of using the FBI plane for personal use, or manufacturing reasons to use it—such as during the Winter Olympics.

Then we have ICE buying a $70 million Boeing 737 Max 8 equipped with bedrooms, showers, a bar, and multiple flat-screen TVs for their "party plane". Once the White House found out, they took direct operational control over the aircraft. Officials clarified that the luxury aircraft would be reserved for Cabinet members and top administration figures. A commercial Boeing 737 Max 8 seats around 126 to 153 people... and they are using it to fly around maybe a dozen people!

NBC out of Palm Springs reported;
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley is asking FBI Director Kash Patel to provide details about his travel and spending, including his use of FBI aircraft and the purchase of BMW vehicles.

Grassley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent a letter asking Patel to provide a list of flights taken on FBI aircraft, the cost of each trip, and whether those flights were for official or personal purposes.

The senator also requested information about the cost of the BMW purchases compared with similar Chevrolet Suburban vehicles, including fuel and storage comparisons.

Patel has faced criticism over his use of FBI resources, including a trip to Milan following the Olympics gold-medal game where video of him in the Team USA men’s hockey locker room gained attention. The FBI said Patel was there in an official capacity and participated in multiple public and classified events related to Olympic security.
But remember: Trump systematically downsized and crippled those watchdog agencies, effectively removing the guardrails that protect public funds from executive excess.

Wins?

Trump's hand picked candidates are winning the primaries but... how do they look in November? That is the question! As you can guess in strong Republican state, they have a strong likelihood of winning in November but what about in Purple sates?
AP News
By  BILL BARROW and STEVE PEOPLES
May 27, 2026

Donald Trump is on a winning streak in Republican primaries, most recently endorsing Ken Paxton ahead of his Tuesday runoff victory over Sen. John Cornyn in Texas.

The president bragged at his Cabinet meeting Wednesday that Paxton’s romp “was a prelude” for success in the November midterms. But Trump’s tightening grip on his party could make it harder to hold back Democratic advances as Republicans face a broader electorate that has soured on his second term and the economy.

The risk is compounded, Republican operatives say, by how cavalier the billionaire president has been in addressing Americans’ financial worries, which have been exacerbated by Trump’s trade roller coaster and his ongoing war against Iran. And the president gave them new material to worry about when he said concerns about November are playing no part in his negotiations with Tehran.

“They thought they were going to out-wait me. You know, ’We’ll out-wait him. He’s got the midterms,” Trump said while surrounded by top administration officials. “I don’t care about the midterms.”
Yeah but... "It is the economy, stupid!" And it is the war the people care about!
Not only are prices higher after Trump’s tariffs and his Iran war, but the president has repeatedly described affordability concerns as a “hoax.”

Trump has mused that increases in gas prices — up more than 50% in the U.S. since Trump and Israel launched attacks on Iran — amount to “peanuts.” He previously said he does not consider Americans’ personal finances “even a little bit” when mulling his options on the war.

All of that comes as Trump badgers Congress to spend $1 billion on his White House ballroom project and allocate $1.8 billion to pay restitution to people who believe they were prosecuted for political purposes — potentially including those who violently attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

It’s a cascade that Republicans in every battleground House district, Senate election or statewide contest will have to navigate in the fall.
And now Trump's adminstration is going to Congress to beg for more money to fight "Trump's War," how do you think the voter will think about paying for a war nobody wanted?
Marc Caputo
July 21, 2026

President Trump's top political advisers inside and outside of the White House are meeting Tuesday afternoon to review polling, their messaging and strategy ahead of the Nov. 3 midterms.

Why it matters: Trump's super PAC and the Republican National Committee are sitting on about $530 million, and now his team is figuring out how, when and where to deploy it.

That doesn't include what insiders say is hundreds of millions of dollars more in Trump's dark-money political nonprofit, Securing American Greatness.
The New York Times said, that Trump created what it called a "pardon industry," in which people with White House connections accepted payments from wealthy clients seeking clemency. The Times also highlighted that many beneficiaries were politically connected or wealthy.

Reuters reported...
Days before granting him a pardon in March of last year, President Donald Trump phoned Trevor Milton, an electric-vehicle entrepreneur and Republican donor who was convicted of defrauding investors of more than $660 million.

[...]

Reuters reviewed thousands of records to document a cast of characters involved in pardons or commutations granted by Trump since he returned to the presidency. Using public databases and artificial intelligence to help search, compile and analyze the records, reporters identified many of the recipients, their advocates and Trump administration insiders involved in clemency for more than 1,700 people since January 2025. The review found:
  • 96% of Trump’s second-term clemency grants have gone to recipients who didn’t fulfill longstanding DOJ guidelines for such requests. Past presidents on occasion have sidestepped those rules before. But fewer than 1% of those who received clemency during the Biden administration and just 14% of recipients in Trump’s first presidency failed to meet the guidelines.
  • Reuters identified 290 advocates, or influencers, who publicly or privately helped secure clemency for 197 recipients. Because some of the advocates worked on behalf of multiple candidates, their efforts at times overlapped, representing 624 different acts of influence. Among the influencers, 73 helped secure more than one pardon or sentence commutation. Brett Tolman, a former U.S. attorney now in private practice in Utah, has been involved in at least 12 pardons or commutations. Roger Stone, a veteran political consultant and longtime Trump confidant, had a hand in at least five.
  • Of the influencers identified by Reuters, at least 110 are known Trump allies. Eleven of those received clemency themselves from Trump during his first term. High-profile advocates and pardon recipients include Stone and Angela Stanton King, a conservative author and campaign advisor to Kennedy before he ditched his 2024 run for the presidency and backed Trump.
  • Six people familiar with recent clemency acts said intermediaries with proven access to Trump’s entourage can charge as much as $2 million for their services. Reuters, however, couldn’t establish how much each advisor it identified had charged for help with a given pardon.
Reuters went on to report,
According to Federal Election Commission records, 10 of the recipients, influencers and companies they ran – including Milton, the EV entrepreneur – donated a total of more than $10 million to Trump-related political coffers, both before and after clemency decisions. Others, including a Florida man convicted of stealing fishing gear used to trap sharks for research, benefitted when political interest groups espoused their causes.

Compared with the past, “there’s nothing other than money, praise, partisanship and relationships that dictates who gets pardons,” said Ty Cobb, a White House counsel during the first Trump administration who is now a private attorney in South Carolina.
So now all that money is making its way into the mid-terms from pardons and other dubious sources.

Pardons For Sale! Inquire Within.

Has Trump family created a new business... pardons. Donate and receive a pardon. It is being questioned by the media and Congress. Trump has refined pardons to an art form and it is raising eyebrows.

Ryan LaLone received a pardon this month for a conviction tied to tampering with diesel emissions systems. Just as importantly, so did his company.

The twin reprieves from President Donald Trump enabled LaLone to clear his name and erase a $750,000 fine for his Michigan trucking-parts shop. They also made him the beneficiary of an unprecedented expansion of White House clemency power, a move tracing back to England's King Charles II.

Since taking office for the second time, Trump has become the first modern US president to issue pardons for companies, from a Middle America auto supplier to a crypto platform and a media startup. The clemency grants have wiped out almost $200 million in financial penalties, some of which were destined for victims of wrongdoing.

The pardons underscore Trump's broader willingness to blow past the boundaries of executive authority in a second term that has been far less constrained by political and legal norms. He has granted clemency to almost 1,700 people in the past 18 months, far outpacing his predecessors, often benefiting political supporters or people who claim to be victims of legal weaponization.
But were "donations" required? Congress is looking into it.

ProPublica

The beneficiaries of President Donald Trump’s mercy in his second term have mostly been people with access to the president or his inner circle. Those who have followed the rules set out by the Department of Justice, meanwhile, are still waiting.

[...]

“If you’re a donor or political supporter, you move to the front of the line,” said Jim Hux, a lawyer representing a Missouri man seeking a pardon for tax crimes he committed two decades ago. He said his client has “led a model life” since finishing his sentence and fits the other criteria the Justice Department says it looks for.
Cha Ching!
Martin’s dual role was a sign that pardons had become more overt political weapons. He pledged to scrutinize Biden-era pardons and review what he described as a “weaponized” justice system. After Trump pardoned Scott Jenkins, a sheriff in Virginia and a longtime supporter convicted of taking bribes for political favors, Martin posted on X, “No MAGA left behind.”
NOTUS reported that,
At least one lobbyist-assisted person was successful in securing a Trump pardon: Joseph Schwartz, a former nursing home executive who was sentenced in April 2025 to three years in prison for his role in a $38 million tax-fraud scheme.

[...]

The day before Trump signed Schwartz’s pardon on Nov. 14, Merkava Strategies Corporation’s Josh Nass registered to lobby for Schwartz. Nass reported receiving $100,000 during the fourth quarter for work on “advocacy concerning executive clemency and post-conviction relief, including federal presidential pardon advocacy and subsequent efforts to obtain expedited parole and state-level relief in Arkansas.”
Cha Ching!

A New York lobbyist and attorney connected to a presidential pardon issued by Donald Trump in November has been charged with attempting to extort money from a former client and the client’s son over an alleged $500,000 debt.

Joshua Nass, 34, was arrested on Friday after being charged in federal court in Brooklyn with attempted Hobbs Act extortion. US justice department prosecutors contend that Nass threatened a client for payment that he claimed he was owed for his services.

Nass is alleged to have provided an unnamed individual with a phone number as well as addresses while instructing the individual to visit the client at his home. It was an effort to intimidate the client into paying up, as prosecutors put it.
A real nice guy...

When President Trump returned to power, a group of his former campaign and administration officials started a federal lobbying practice. Mo Strategies, which has registered an array of corporate clients, is now expanding into the newly lucrative world of pardons.

Business is booming.

The Trump-linked firm has signed on to lobby for the law firm Blessinger Legal in Northern Virginia for "immigration and pardon-related discussions," federal lobbying disclosures in late May show. The engagement has already yielded the firm $500,000 in income, and more work is expected, Marty Obst, president of Mo Strategies, said in an interview.
The Democrats are holding hearings on the corruption... Spokane - Review wrote;
Two Democratic members of Congress on Monday pressed the administration of President Donald Trump to retain communication records related to pardons granted to recipients including an electric-vehicle manufacturer found guilty of defrauding investors of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Senator Peter Welch, a Judiciary Committee member from Vermont, and Congressman Dave Min, an Oversight Committee member from California, made the request to determine whether “improper considerations, including quid pro quo or ‘pay-to-play’ dynamics, may have affected the clemency process,” they wrote in letters to the White House, Justice Department and ‌U.S. Secret Service.

The two lawmakers, citing coverage by Reuters and other media, in the letters reviewed by the news agency said they have been looking into the administration’s clemency efforts, which include pardons and commutations of sentences. They requested that all records be retained for 17 specific clemency recipients, including Trevor Milton, a businessman who was convicted in relation to a ‌startup he ran touting electric ‌vehicles that never became operational.

Last week a Reuters investigation found that 96% of Trump’s clemencies this term have gone to candidates, including Milton, who didn’t meet longstanding Justice Department guidelines for pardons. In response to questions from Reuters, a spokesperson for Milton criticized his conviction and said it had been ‌politically motivated by prosecutors during the ‌administration of President Joe Biden. The spokesperson didn’t respond to a question about the letters from the lawmakers.
You want to bet that they will be stonewalled by the White House? Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut wrote:
Pay to Play: Trump’s Record of Corruption
We are currently witnessing corruption as we have never seen before under President Trump. President Trump ran his campaign promising to fight for working— and middle-class Americans. He said he would bring costs down on Day 1. Instead, he has weaponized the office of the President to enrich himself and his family.

The Appropriations Committee is charged with making sure departments are spending taxpayer dollars wisely and following the law. My office has compiled a list of this gross display of corruption so far.

Trump’s Get Out of Jail Free Card
Multiple news outlets have reported on the Trump Administration’s practice of receiving pay in exchange for pardons or clemency for millionaire and billionaire criminals, including, for example, Trevor Milton, who was pardoned in March 2025 after pouring nearly $2 million into pro-Trump political committees in 2024.

In another case, Changpeng Zhao the founder of Binance pleaded guilty to money laundering and was subsequently pardoned last October after the company he founded took steps that effectively enriched the Trump family with hundreds of millions of dollars.

Four large players in the cryptocurrency industry—Robinhood Markets, Coinbase, Ripple, and Kraken—each made donations ranging from $1 to $5 million to Trump’s 2025 inaugural fund.

Then in the early months of the Trump Administration, these companies had Securities and Exchange Commission cases against them dismissed, and the Justice Department disbanded a crypto crimes task force.

If there is a buck to make off of the Iran war... the Trump family is right there in line.
Another company called Powerus, backed by President Trump’s two oldest sons, is selling drone interceptors to Persian Gulf countries that are under attack by Iran and thus dependent on the U.S. military that is being led by President Trump.
You know there will be a judgement day for the Trumps but only if we win in November.

The Best Government Money Can Buy

You know that slush fund of 1776 billion dollars that Trump is trying to create... the Republicans said, "Not so fast!"

Where's our cut?
During a House Appropriations Committee markup, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) introduced an amendment to prevent federal elected officials from receiving any money from the U.S. Treasury Judgment Fund in response to the creation of President Trump’s $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund.” The amendment was rejected by Republicans on the Appropriations Committee, who voted to allow themselves to receive money from the fund.

Recently, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the establishment of an “Anti-Weaponization Fund” as part of the settlement to end President Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS. The Judgment Fund would transfer nearly $1.8 billion to the slush fund to benefit President Trump’s allies, including Senators who believe they were victim to government weaponization and January 6th insurrectionists who attacked U.S. Capitol police officers. The U.S. Attorney General would be responsible for appointing a five-person commission to administer the payouts, and the President can fire the commissioners at any time.
But the Republicans amendment was defeated. They wanted in on the deal.

Summary
  • Trump Media has also pitched $60,000 monthly three-year plan, people familiar with the matter said
  • Truth API will deliver posts from 10 influential accounts faster than for regular push notifications
  • Trump's trust holds about 114.75 million TMTG shares, or roughly 41% of outstanding stock, filings showed
Donald Trump's social media company has discussed charging Wall Street traders and investment firms as much as $100,000 a month for faster access to the U.S. president's posts on his Truth Social ‌platform, according to people familiar with the matter.

[...]

TMTG on Thursday unveiled a paid-for, licensed data feed called "Truth API" to provide banks and trading firms the fastest access to posts from the 10 most influential Truth Social accounts, but did not give any pricing details.

The move would be the company's first step into data licensing, opening up a new revenue stream, although it drew immediate criticism from Democrats.

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon, the highest-ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, said it would financially benefit the Trump family and "make Wall Street traders rich."
Just think what you could do if you knew that Trump was going to announce a ceasefire. You could go out and buy oil futures... what a killing you could make.

CNN reports that,
Whether President Donald Trump and those around him are corruptly enriching themselves during his second term is a matter of personal judgment. Many Americans seem to think the president at least is.

But what is incontrovertible is that he and his team are doing almost nothing to disabuse people of that notion. Indeed, they seem to be increasingly leaning in on the idea that Trump can do whatever he wants — and that apparent conflicts of interest just don't matter.

Thursday was a case in point for how in-your-face this dynamic has become, with several stories about potentially profiting from the presidency, or proximity to it.
  • The first was a CNN investigation finding Trump has used his Truth Social account to promote more than 20 companies just days after buying stock in those same companies. He sometimes even announced government action that would benefit the companies.
  • The second was that, for the first time, we got details on a White House aide potentially engaging in insider trading using prediction markets. Trump's teleprompter operator made more than $90,000 by betting on what Trump would say in speeches and at events, according to a source. The news follows months of suspiciously well-timed trades making big money ahead of major Trump moves.
  • And the third — the pièce de resistance, which effectively combines the above bits of potential corruption — is that Trump's business is now going to let Wall Street firms pay to get quicker access to his Truth Social posts and try to make more money trading on them.
As you can imagine, this is creating a lot of controversy!

Trump has also hamstrung regulatory agencies by firing agency leaders, removing inspectors general (watchdogs), and reducing staffing and enforcement.

The Trump administration is turning into one of the most corrupt administrations in history!

What A Racket!

The White House has become the ultimate "cash cow" for Trump—he is making billions off the presidency. It is the absolute pinnacle of insider trading. An unscrupulous person can make a ton of money off these on-again, off-again conflicts, especially if they happen to know exactly when peace deals are being signed or torn up.
Presidents are supposed to avoid even the appearance that their official power is entangled with personal gain. Trump has shattered that principle.

As former White House ethics lawyers who served administrations of both parties, we upheld a clear bipartisan norm: Presidents and senior officials must avoid even the appearance that their official power is entangled with personal gain. Presidents and senior officials were expected to divest conflicting assets, use blind trusts or hold broadly diversified funds — all to avoid the mingling of their public office and their private interests.

President Donald Trump has shattered that principle.  His most recent financial disclosure reveals an extraordinary $2.2 billion in gains during his first year in office. The sheer scale of the sums — $1.4 billion in cryptocurrency alone — is unparalleled. The issue is not simply how much money Trump made or that he made it at all; it is that the money comes from industries his administration regulates, foreign relationships his administration oversees and markets that can rise or fall based on the policies, enforcement decisions, diplomatic relationships and public signals of the office he holds.
Meanwhile according to the July 4th New York Times headlines:
A report from a cryptocurrency analytics firm details how those who bought the Trump memecoin have fared, with most retail investors having lost money while sophisticated traders did better.
Trump and his friends are milking these conflicts for all they are worth!
The foreign conflicts are just as alarming. The shadowy nature of crypto transactions makes it difficult to understand all that is happening behind the scenes. But what we are seeing is shocking enough. To pick but one example: In early 2025, World Liberty Financial, a Trump family-backed crypto venture, issued USD1, its stablecoin pegged to the dollar. Within weeks, the United Arab Emirates-owned investment fund MGX used USD1 in connection with a $2 billion investment in crypto company Binance. (The Trump family, World Liberty and Binance deny wrongdoing.) Stablecoins can generate income through the reserves that back them, meaning wider use of USD1 may benefit World Liberty.

In other words, a foreign power — a key player in an unpopular and expensive war with Iran that Trump began without the consent of Congress — is financing a business venture that is partly owned by the president and his family. Ordinary Americans pay for this war with sky-high gas prices. Unlike Trump, most Americans cannot afford to hedge their bets through the buying and selling of oil company stocks.
The same person who called the fallen soldiers at D-Day "losers" and "suckers" is making billions off of war.

You know how you always hear about Trump hosting official functions at Mar-a-Lago? Folks, he actually charges the government to use his own resort! As CREW reported regarding his first term:
The Secret Service has spent nearly $2 million of taxpayer money at Trump properties, literally paying Donald Trump for the right to protect him and his family, according to government records obtained and analyzed by CREW. Newly acquired records show roughly $1.75 million being paid to Trump’s businesses; however, these records appear to be incomplete. Previously published records, by CREW and others, which do not appear to be included in the documents, account for thousands more in Secret Service spending at Trump properties, bringing the likely grand total closer to $2 million.
What amazes me is this: what does he think will happen when he finally leaves office? Does he really believe all of this will just be ignored and swept under the rug?

What could possible go wrong!

Summary
  • Donald Trump Jr., a GrabAGun investor, could benefit from new administration proposal allowing home delivery of firearms.
  • Trump Jr. said in a statement that he had "zero involvement" in crafting the proposed gun policy.
  • ATF estimates half of all gun buyers will eventually buy guns online and get them delivered.
Donald Trump Jr. helped take an online retailer known as the “Amazon of guns” public last year. Now, GrabAGun, where the U.S. president's son is a shareholder and board member, could reap a windfall from a proposed rule change at Trump's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that would make it easier to ship guns directly to people's homes.
If finalized, the rule would be among the most consequential changes to the U.S. gun policy in two decades, potentially driving huge growth in online gun sales, ‌according to ten industry officials, store owners, and gun-control advocates interviewed by Reuters.
Of course it is going to pass. Daddy's president!
The proposal would allow licensed dealers to ship firearms directly to in-state residents who undergo an online identity verification and background check, along with a seven-day waiting period after notifying local law enforcement. Currently, online buyers must pick up firearms at physical stores and undergo in-person background checks unless they have a permit.

Some gun shop owners, industry officials and gun control advocates argue the direct shipping of firearms poses significant public safety and security risks and threatens the viability of small brick-and-mortar gun shops.

The change could benefit Trump Jr., whose more than 300,000 shares, opens new tab in GrabAGun are worth more than $700,000 – down from more than $5 million last year.
Cha Ching!
The White House said it had no record or knowledge of any "interaction with the President's son on any of these topics."

The rule is one of 34 deregulatory measures proposed by ATF this spring in response to a February 2025 presidential executive order, opens new tab to expand gun access.

Marianna Mitchem, a senior firearms industry advisor at Everytown for Gun Safety, worked at ATF for more than 20 years, including about four as the industry liaison. She said the industry had never asked for a similar policy in her interactions and that physical gun shops had historically played a key role in vetting owners.

“ATF always says the gun store is the first line of defense in gun safety,” said Mitchem, who opposes the proposed rule. “But now they are flipping it."
What could possibly go wrong?

Update: 6:30PM

It's official: President Donald J. Trump International Airport is open for business.

The South Florida facility was called Palm Beach International Airport for over half a century until Thursday, when a months-old state law took effect, adding the airport to the growing list of places and things that now bear President Trump's name.

Eric Trump, the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said the president's plane was the first to land at the newly renamed airport at 5:01 a.m. on Thursday.

"There is no person who has done more for Florida and our country, and no one more deserving of this incredible honor," he wrote on X. "As a son, and someone who flies out of this airport nearly every day, I will forever be proud to see the initials 'DJT' on my boarding pass."
However we all know Trump, there is a buck in it for him;
Trump also took the unusual step of registering trademarks for the airport's new name.

DTTM Operations, the private company that manages Trump's intellectual property, filed three applications in February, for "DJT," "President Donald J. Trump International Airport" and "Donald J. Trump International Airport." As of this week, all are pending approval.

Trump Organization spokesperson Kimberly Benza told NPR over email that "it is the company's normal practice to file for trademark protection because the 'Trump' name and brand is internationally known and a frequent target of infringers, counterfeiters and unauthorized users around the world."

Trump and the Trump Organization have denied any attempts to gain financially from the effort. But the move to trademark the name has raised questions about whether Trump could benefit.

Maybe It Is A Good Thing...

That I can't get a passport.

Because of Trump we cannot get passports in our true gender, but maybe in a way it is a good thing... would you want to carry around a picture of Trump?

The Brief
  • President Trump will be the first living president to be featured on the U.S. passport.
  • He shared an updated image of the limited edition America 250 passport Saturday.
  • His stern face is featured prominently.
President Donald Trump has released an updated image of the limited edition America 250 passports featuring his face and name.

The State Department first announced a passport featuring Trump in April, but the images shared Saturday are different. Trump will be the first living president to be featured on the U.S. passport. Here’s the latest:
Department of Interior

And don't forget that he wants his picture on currency.

After I published this last night I came across this article, it turns out that he stuck his face also on the NPS passes back in January!

The National Park Service has updated its policy to discourage visitors from defacing a picture of President Trump on this year's pass.

The use of an image of Trump on the 2026 pass — rather than the usual picture of nature — has sparked a backlash, sticker protests, and a lawsuit from a conservation group.

The $80 annual America the Beautiful pass gives visitors access to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites. Since 2004, the pass has typically showcased sweeping landscapes or iconic wildlife, selected through a public photo contest. Past winners have featured places like Arches National Park in Utah and images of bison roaming the plains.

Instead, of a picture of nature, this year's design shows side-by-side portraits of Presidents George Washington and Trump. The new design has drawn criticism from parkgoers and ignited a wave of "do-it-yourself" resistance.
Is this song fitting or what?
You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror, as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner and
You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain (you're so vain)
I bet you think this song is about you
Don't you, don't you?
You’re So Vain by Carly Simon
[I am glad I have a lifetime NPS pass.]

I asked Gemini: What does it say about mentally about a person that wants his picture on everything and his name up on walls?

From a psychological standpoint, someone who insists on putting their face on everything and plastering their name across walls is exhibiting behavior deeply rooted in egocentricity, status-seeking, and a profound need for external validation.

While it’s impossible to diagnose someone without a clinical evaluation, psychologists and behaviorists typically look at a few distinct underlying traits to explain this kind of behavior:

1. Narcissism and Grandiosity
At the most obvious level, this aligns with narcissistic personality traits.

The Drive: An inflated sense of self-importance and a belief that they are unique or superior.

The Manifestation: Seeing their own face and name everywhere serves as a constant feedback loop that validates their perceived greatness. It’s an attempt to force the world to mirror their own high self-opinion back at them.

2. Deep-Seated Insecurity and Fragile Ego
Paradoxically, the loudest bark often comes from the most frightened dog.

The Drive: A massive, omnipresent public image is often used to mask intense inner vulnerability or a fear of insignificance.

The Manifestation: If the inner sense of self is fragile, they require constant, inescapable external reminders of their power and existence. It's a psychological armor; if their name is on the wall, they can’t be ignored or forgotten.

3. Hyper-Focus on Legacy and Symbolic Immortality
In psychology, Terror Management Theory suggests that humans have a deep dread of their own mortality and insignificance.

The Drive: To defeat death by becoming unforgettable.

The Manifestation: Writing one's name on walls is one of the oldest human impulses (think of ancient pharaohs or even graffiti). It is a literal attempt to carve oneself into history, ensuring that their presence outlasts their physical existence.

4. Territorialism and Dominance
This behavior is also highly behavioral and primitive.

The Drive: Marking territory.

The Manifestation: Much like an animal marking its boundaries, plastering a name or face on a building or product is a claim of ownership and dominance over that space. It sends a psychological message to everyone else: "This is my kingdom, and you are just visiting."

The Bottom Line:
While it presents outwardly as supreme confidence and power, mentally, it usually signals a mind that is entirely dependent on external reflection to feel whole. A truly secure person doesn't need a wall to remind them—or anyone else—of who they are.
Then I asked: Could that person be easily maniputated?

Yes, surprisingly easily. In fact, people with this specific psychological profile—hyper-focused on their own ego, status, and public image—are often among the most predictable and vulnerable targets for manipulation.

Because their psychological drivers are so out in the open, a manipulator doesn’t have to guess what they want. The blueprint is right there on the wall.

Here is exactly how that vulnerability is exploited:

1. The Flattery Trap (Ego-Stroking)
Because this person is entirely dependent on external validation to maintain their grand image, they have a massive hunger for praise.

The Vulnerability: They usually cannot distinguish between genuine admiration and calculated flattery.

How it works: A manipulator simply feeds them the exact narrative they want to believe about themselves. By telling them they are the smartest, most powerful, or most visionary person in the room, the manipulator lowers the person's defensive guard completely. Once they trust the source of their "ego fix," they become highly compliant.

2. Strategic Isolation (Weaponizing the Ego)
People who need their face on everything are incredibly sensitive to criticism or anything that threatens their self-image.

The Vulnerability: They tend to view the world in black-and-white: people are either "loyal fans" or "haters."

How it works: A manipulator can easily isolate this person by whispering that their trusted advisors, friends, or family are "jealous," "not giving them enough credit," or "trying to steal the spotlight." The target will often cut off honest, truth-telling allies in favor of the manipulator, who pretends to be their only "true" supporter.

3. Public Shaming and "The Dare"
Because their public reputation is their most prized possession, the threat of looking weak or foolish can drive them to make incredibly reckless decisions.

The Vulnerability: They will do almost anything to avoid a blow to their pride.

How it works: You can manipulate this person by framing a desired action as a test of their courage or status. Phrases like "Most people wouldn't be bold enough to pull this off, but you're different," or "If you don't do this, people might think you're backing down," are incredibly effective. They will walk right into a trap just to prove they are as powerful as they claim to be.

4. Giving Away the Credit
A secure person cares about the actual outcome of a project. An insecure, ego-driven person cares about who gets the applause.

The Vulnerability: They value symbolic victories over substantive ones.

How it works: A clever manipulator will gladly do all the heavy lifting, make the actual decisions behind the scenes, and let the target take 100% of the public credit. The target is so thrilled to put their name on the finished product and stand in front of the cameras that they completely miss the fact that they were just an instrument for someone else's agenda.

The Paradox of Power
This person usually believes they are the master puppeteer controlling everyone around them. In reality, their massive ego is a giant handle that anyone with a little bit of tactical praise can grab onto and use to lead them wherever they want.

I use AIs as a sounding board for my thoughts and logic. I was in a heated discussion with DuckDuckGo AI about how what we see around us is a pogrom... the AI said that wasn't true. So started a debate with the AI to show how the trans community thinks that the AI came around and saw that from a trans perspective it feels like a pogrom...
That makes sense. When things feel uncertain and threatening, that lyric can hit hard. “The future’s not ours to see” captures the fear of not knowing how bad things may get, and the “handwriting on the wall” feeling is often what people have when they see warning signs piling up.
I pointed out;
  • Has trump hung banners of himself on the Department of the Interior: with the slogan "America's First"?
  • Has trump hung banners of himself on the Department of Justice: Displays Trump’s face with the slogan "Make America Safe Again"?
  • Has trump hung banners of himself on the Department of Labor: with the with the slogan "American Workers First"?
  • Has trump hung banners of himself on the Department of Agriculture: Displays a massive portrait of Trump alongside the slogan "Growing America Since 1862"?
  • Are not these banners like the ones Mussolini and Hitler hung banners of themselves around their countries?
  • Haven't republican politicians  called for us to be jailed just because we are trans?
