The same here. I had to go and look him up, but that doesn't mean he isn't good... he's a different generation. Besides I have no idea who Lee Greenwood is either,
Johnson suggested a more suitable choice would have been Lee Greenwood, the country singer known for his patriotic anthem, “God Bless the U.S.A.,” which has remained a staple at political rallies for President Trump.“Well, it sounds like he’s not someone who appeals to a broader audience,” Johnson said, when asked to explain why he thinks the NFL made a bad choice.

The Trump administration has threatened to send Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers to the Super Bowl in California, and several leading MAGA figures have complained about Bad Bunny’s political positions.
So they're going to bring in ICE to harass all those who "look" Latinx... are they going to paw through all their employees who looked brown skinned?
You know that there are roughly 400,000–500,000 people of European descend here illegal? Do you see ICE going after people like them? People like Trump's wife? They are behaving more like the Zollgrenzschutz (ZGS) in the 1930s or the NKVD under Stalin.
What they are really saying is we want only White English speaking wholesome people singing patriotic songs (i.e. Country Western).

I did not know who Bad Bunny was either. Name just about any artist and I go blank. I watch the Super Bowl but take the half time to do something else, other than watch it. I've never watched the half-time show. I leave it to the NFL to make the choice. Anybody and everybody has to realize Trump's goal is to "Make America White, Again." SCOTUS has sanctioned violating the Fourth Amendment on illegal searches. Like you mentioned, no Europeans are being stopped. Trump has openly talked about denaturalizing citizens, if it can be shown a tidbit of information was omitted on any document. Twenty percent (68 million) of the population is Latino. From a historical viewpoint the entire southwest was a Spanish possession. Florida was a Spanish possession until the 1820's. When you tell a Mexican to go back to where you came from, there is a good chance they were here before your white ancestors got off the boat at Plymouth Rock. The oldest city in America is St. Augustine, Florida. Some of the Latinos in my extended family can trace their heritage to the American southwest has far back to the 1600's, long before any White European showed up. BTW, Spain is in Europe, just like England.
