I was reading a series of comments on Yahoo. One commenter went on about how liberals are ruining the country—but then said he was willing to ignore the Constitution “to get the liberals!” Hate made him blind to what he had just said.
Hate was built into the Constitution—Black people were counted as only 3/5 of a person. We fought a war over hate. Jim Crow laws were passed because of hate. Segregation was fought over hate. And the hate continues today… hate for immigrants… hate for trans people… hate for gay and lesbian people… hate for worshiping in the “wrong” church… hate for anyone who is different.
Hate wants to make a national holiday for a bigot who preached hatred for “the others.”
Hate now runs the country, punishing those who oppose it.
Hate makes people want a dictator.
Hate makes people blind.
