If you were on X at all at the end of last week, then you probably had the misfortune of seeing the term “Detrans” trending. For those who didn’t investigate, here’s the unpleasant rundown: “Detrans” is the latest short film from the Prager University Foundation (better known as PragerU), a conservative nonprofit group best known for its videos that present archaic viewpoints on various civic and social justice topics.

Its latest documentary is about a small handful of people who transitioned as young people and then decided to detransition later. This film is not trending because people love or hate it, by the way. PragerU reportedly paid X $1 million to shove its agenda into everyone’s faces. This tactic should be terrifying to anyone who values speech, because it essentially boils down to a massive misinformation campaign. Although people who detransition certainly exist and are entitled to sharing their story, they account for only about 1% of all trans people.

So you know that the documentary’s creators aren’t acting in good faith when they withholds that context and make it look like giant swaths of trans people regret their decision to affirm their gender. The film makes it seem like kids everywhere are being tricked into being trans — and that this is a widespread problem we should all be worried about.
The Southern Poverty Law Center wrote this about PragerU;
Despite its name, Prager University, more commonly known as PragerU, is not an accredited academic institution in any sense. Instead, it specializes in promoting far-right propaganda through professionally produced media. The organization, which claims it “promotes the American values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” perpetrates far-right ideology vilifying the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants and people of color.
And these are the exact people Donald Trump is using for his "Freedom 250" program, a blatant rip-off of America 250, the bipartisan, congressionally mandated commission planning community celebrations. To make matters worse, many Republican-led states are now officially using PragerU materials in their public schools!
PragerU was founded in 2009 by Allen Estrin and conservative radio host Dennis Prager. The organization was conceived as a digital media project presenting viewpoints in a succinct and engaging format as “a free alternative to the dominant left-wing ideology in culture, media, and education,” according to the PragerU website.

Since its founding, PragerU has expanded its activities well beyond its initial video series. The organization now produces a broad range of media content including short educational videos, articles, podcasts and social media posts. PragerU’s goal is to indoctrinate and mobilize a conservative audience by framing issues in a way that is both accessible and compelling. This approach has allowed the organization to build a substantial following and influence public discourse on a variety of issues. According to the organization’s own metrics, 30 million unique viewers watch PragerU videos on YouTube every quarter. The PragerU site notes that 60% of YouTube viewers are under the age of 35. Additionally, the organization claims that 55% of its viewers say their civic actions were influenced by PragerU videos, and 85% say they reference PragerU videos during ideological discussions.
They are nothing more than a propaganda machine for the far-right. As the HuffPost article concludes:
Another gag is that the end of the documentary includes a clip of Oli London, who made headlines for claiming to be a “transracial” Korean and who is now a conservative anti-trans advocate. It’s disturbing to be reminded that, for those who don’t personally know any trans people, these types of documentaries might be the only content about trans people they’ll ever interact with. It’s fear-mongering at its absolute worst, and we need to call it out.
The billionaires funding this project exhibit distinct authoritarian tendencies. They remind me deeply of the wealthy industrialists who historically backed the rise of Adolf Hitler.

Scouting America, the Texas-based national organization founded as the Boy Scouts of America, is working to shed claims it has gone "woke" in recent years as it renews its focus on training young people with life skills, providing fun and educational outdoor experiences and revitalizing its partnership with the U.S. military.

Since its inception by Lt. Gen. Robert Baden-Powell in February 1910, what is now Scouting America has remained dedicated to providing the key life tenets of faith, character and service to young people, as in one example it eliminated an otherwise recently conceived "DEI" merit badge and replaced it with a military-centric one.

Chief Scout Executive Roger Krone told Fox News Digital that scouts have been central to key moments in history, a testament to the program’s values, importance and longevity.
Boy does that sound like they want to make it into a para-military organization?

Merit badges that "mask" DEI "activism" have been "discontinued," he said, and a new military service badge will be added, in partnership with the Pentagon.
So they are even going to have a merit badge like the Hitler Youth Proficiency Badge of the 1930s and 40s!
Beginning in 2012, "the Boy Scouts lost their way," Hegseth said in the Friday post. "A once great organization became gravely wounded. Diversity, equity and inclusion, DEI, crept in. The name was changed to 'Scouting America.' Girls were accepted. The focus on God as the ruler of the universe was watered down to include openness to humanism and Earth centered pagan religions."
STOP RIGHT THERE! "...The focus on God as the ruler of the universe..." Does this sound like "grooming" to you? Do this sound like Hegseth wants to turn it into a para-military Christian Nationalist organization?

The Imagery Is Right Out Of The 1930s

The latest government push on undocumented immigrants is right out of the 1930s Nazi propaganda films.

Religious imagery plays a role in a controversial new ad campaign created by the Trump administration’s Department of Labor.

This follows similar trends seen already at the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Kristi Noem. Both agencies are using Norman Rockwell-style posters that also remind viewers of a different kind of art.

Not only has the Labor Department’s ad campaign drawn comparisons to Nazi propaganda, it uses religious imagery to appeal to white Christian evangelicals, Trump’s most reliable political base.

One poster in the new series depicts a white Christian family appearing to be from the 1950s sitting on a pew together in church. The caption reads, “A Dream Worth Fighting For.” Another shows a white couple with two kids gazing at an idealized suburban home and a white-steepled church above, along with a school and a factory. The caption reads, “Our work on Project Firewall is critical in our mission to put Americans First and RESTORE THE AMERICAN DREAM.”
But people have noticed something, reminiscent from the past!
The poster campaign has been criticized for mirroring Nazi-era propaganda.

“The glossy, retro-styled posters feature white men in hard hats, lab coats and muscle shirts alongside slogans such as ‘America’s Future’ and ‘Your Nation Needs You!’ Critics note the deliberate absence of women and people of color, with only one poster including them — placed literally beneath a white man towering above,” says an article from The Voice. “Only one poster includes a woman and a person who may be a person of color — but neither are Black, Asian, etc. and both are literally positioned beneath a white man towering above them.”

The article continues: “The aesthetic centers white masculinity as the symbol of national strength, evoking imagery used by Nazi Germany to elevate Aryan men while erasing women and minorities from public life. In the 1930s, Joseph Goebbels’ Ministry of Propaganda popularized posters of blond, muscular men as the ‘ideal German worker.’ Women appeared only as mothers, while Jews, Roma and others were erased altogether. The Trump administration’s posters, Nehemiah D. Frank writes, follow a chillingly similar script: White men as the emblem of loyalty, patriotism and progress.”
It sure looks like they gave some AI a Nazis propaganda posters and said update these! This is signaling that the "American Dream" is for white families only, echoing 1930s Germany (where propaganda idealized Aryan purity) or 1950s U.S. ads that marginalized everyone else.

Norman Rockwell’s descendants are condemning the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for misusing the artist’s work in its social media posts.

After DHS shared Rockwell reproductions across its X, Instagram, and Facebook accounts to promote its anti-immigrant rhetoric, Rockwell’s family published a November 2 op-ed at USA Today to highlight the artist’s anti-racist efforts. “If Norman Rockwell were alive today, he would be devastated to see… that his own work has been marshaled for the cause of persecution toward immigrant communities and people of color,” they wrote.

The Rockwell family’s op-ed targets three recent posts by DHS. The first, from August 20, features Rockwell’s Salute the Flag (1971) with the caption, “Protect our American way of life.” The image features a mostly white audience in the conservative garb of the early to mid-20th century and suggests a diversity-free American populace. Another depicts Rockwell’s Working on the Statue of Liberty (1946) accompanied by a link viewers can visit in order to “BECOME A HOMELAND DEFENDER TODAY.” A month ago, DHS posted Rockwell’s painting of a boy typing up a story about Daniel Boone with an invocation to “Manifest Heroism.”
It seems like the Republicans don't care about other's people property and using AI to make to twist his artwork in to racist propaganda.

Just Listen To The Words He Uses!

Last night on 60 Minutes they had interview with Trump. The part that caught my attention was in the interview Norah O'Donnell where she asked,
NORAH O'DONNELL: --and you succeeded on that. Illegal crossings at the Southern border are at a 55-year low. Want to ask you about this. More recently, Americans have been watching videos of ICE tackling a young mother, tear gas being used in a Chicago residential neighborhood, and the smashing of car windows. Have some of these raids gone too far?
But Trump reply was what I caught my attention...
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: No. I think they haven't gone far enough because we've been held back by the-- by the judges, by the liberal judges that were put in by Biden and by Obama. We've been held--

NORAH O'DONNELL: You're okay with those tactics?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Yeah, because you have to get the people out. You know, you have to look at the people. Many of them are murderers. Many of them are people that were thrown outta their countries because they were, you know, criminals. Many of them are people from jails and prisons. Many of them are people from frankly mental institutions. I feel badly about that, but they're released from insane asylums. You know why? Because they're killers.
So Donald... you think a 64 year old US citizen grandmother is a terrorist? You think it is okay to throw flash-bang's into an apartment, drag people outside in their bedclothes, and tie-wrapped? Because that is what your goons are doing. In short: Trump has publicly okayed the aggressive tactics by ICE—tactics such as forceful entry, taking down individuals physically, using tear gas in residential areas, using flash-bangs, smashing vehicles, and deploying broader enforcement resources—and he believes such operations need to go further. Detaining U.S. citizens without cause. He thinks that ICE is being restrained! If this is being restrained I hate to see them when they are not!
