The fishing vessel F/V Seahorse was found in 25 feet of water near Billingsgate Shoal off Wellfleet on Wednesday afternoon, June 11, according to U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Quinn LeCain.The shoal is west of Wellfleet, in Cape Cod Bay.A recreational fishermen who was dragging fishing gear at low tide discovered the submerged 30-foot white boat. A body was found in the vicinity.

From Brewster Police: On Wednesday, June 11th at approximately 1:47 PM, Brewster Fire & Rescue received a call that a boater located a sunken vessel approximately two miles due north of the Brewster shoreline. While local resources were enroute, communication was made with Massachusetts Environmental Police who were in the area, along with the Massachusetts State Police Marine Unit. Both the Massachusetts State Police and Massachusetts Environmental Police arrived on location and assumed control of the search. They were able to confirm that a sunken boat was located. Brewster resources were released from the area without further assistance being needed at this time.
There was supposed to be two on board and was the body that of the woman or of the man?

“Divers from the Massachusetts Environmental Police, and Massachusetts State Police identified the vessel,” the Coast Guard said. “Both individuals were found onboard, and next of kin were notified.”
