About half of U.S. adults approve of how President Donald Trump is handling transgender issues, according to a new poll — a relative high point for a president who has the approval overall of about 4 in 10 Americans.

But support for his individual policies on transgender people is not uniformly strong, with a clearer consensus against policies that affect youth.

A new Gallup poll found support among Americans for transgender individuals serving in the military has decreased to 58 percent, down from 71 percent in 2019 and 66 percent in 2021.

The survey was conducted around the time President Trump implemented two executive orders last month to reinstate a ban on openly transgender military personnel.

The decline in support for transgender individuals serving in the military is primarily influenced by Republicans, per the poll. Independents also contributed to the decrease, though to a lesser extent.

Only 23 percent of Republicans currently support openly transgender individuals serving in the military, a significant drop from the 43 percent support noted in both 2019 and 2021.

Support among independents has also decreased, with 62 percent currently in favor, down from 78 percent in 2019, but only slightly less than the 66 percent recorded in 2021.

Stop right there. This is a disaster! The Republican propaganda is working! We need to get the truth out and counter Trump and the Republicans lies. I wonder how many people know that we serve in all the western militaries? I wonder if they know that trans people have served openly in combat for almost ten years? We need to concentrate on education... telling out stories. We need an unbiased media!
