Gov. Evers responds to veiled threats from the Trump Administration's Border Czar

Gov. Tony Evers released a message to Wisconsinites Friday afternoon.

The message was in the form of a YouTube video and was in response to the Trump Administration's Border Czar allegedly threatening to arrest elected officials and saying, "Wait 'til you see what's coming," after being asked about Evers, according to the release.

"Chilling threats like this should be of concern to every Wisconsinite and every American who cares about this country and the values we hold dear," Evers said.

Border Czar Tom Homan's comments stem from the Office of the Governor distributing guidance for what state agency employees should do if ICE agents arrive at their workplace.

"These threats represent a concerning trajectory in this country," Evers said, "And as disgusted as I am about the continued actions of the Trump Administration, I am not afraid. I have never once been discouraged from doing the right thing, and I will not start today."
