Letitia James is hunting for insider trading in Trump's inner circle. Ex-prosecutors call her tariff inquiry unprecedented.Business InsoderBy Laura ItalianoMay 4, 2025
- Letitia James is continuing to look for possible insider trading in Trump's inner circle.
- The NY attorney general's inquiry centers on Trump's markets-roiling flip-flops on tariffs.
- Former AG prosecutors say James' inquiry is an unprecedented use of NY's century-old Martin Act.
New York's Letitia James is easily the most aggressive state attorney general in the country when it comes to suing President Donald Trump.[...]But James' most daring excursion into Trumpworld may be one she has yet to formally announce. It's an ongoing inquiry into potential insider trading by the president's inner circle, centered on last month's markets-roiling tariff policies.James' so-called inquiry — the formal name for a kind of probe that falls short of a full-blown investigation — has rounded its second month, an AG spokesman confirmed to Business Insider, declining to divulge details beyond saying the office is "looking at" possible insider trading.
For one small purchase you too can had dinner with the President... just for the amazing price of...
The largest investors in Donald Trump’s crypto coin have been promised a private audience with the president. The arrangement could put Trump at odds with the Constitution and add fuel to calls for his impeachment, experts say.WiredBy Joel KhaliliMay 1, 2025When Donald Trump agreed to attend a dinner with the largest investors in his own-brand cryptocurrency, he transformed the TRUMP coin into something else entirely: a means of access to the sitting president. As a consequence, Trump could find himself at odds with constitutional prohibitions of bribery and corruption, experts claim.Trump’s dinner announcement on April 23 instigated a trading frenzy that, on paper, added hundreds of millions of dollars to his net worth. Two subsidiaries of the Trump Organization, a conglomerate owned by the president, control 80 percent of the total supply of the coin, which shot up in price by almost 60 percent after the announcement. Those subsidiaries also profit from any surge in trading volume as rent-seeking intermediaries.
And for a special limited time offer this deal is offered to his associates... including Musk.
ReutersBy Douglas Gillison and Chris PrenticeMay 2, 2025Presidential adviser Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is expanding its presence at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission by adding a third staff member, according to people familiar with the matter.Since March DOGE has been scrutinizing agency contracting and organizational charts for more possible cuts and restructuring. The SEC has shed at least 16% of its staff, largely through the Trump administration's voluntary buyouts.[...]The staff exodus so far has depleted divisions that oversee oversight functions at the regulator, prompting worry from some observers that the losses will hinder the SEC's performance in detecting fraud and promoting financial stability.
No we didn't interfere the investigation, we just did away with everyone investigating us!
In Florida they want children working again! Last year in Florida...
DeSantis signed HB 49 on Friday, which allows businesses to work minors older than 16-years-old more than 30 hours a week if the employer gets parental permission.WFSUBy Tristan WoodMarch 25, 2024Changes are officially coming to Florida’s child labor laws.Gov. Ron DeSantis signed HB 49 on Friday, which allows businesses to work minors older than 16-years-old more than 30 hours a week if the employer gets parental permission. The measure that got DeSantis’ signature was a steep departure from the original bill, which became one of the most controversial bills of the 2024 legislative session. The version first filed would have allowed minors 16 and older to work full-time without parent input and removed requirements for work breaks. It also would have allowed children to work past midnight on school nights.
And then this year,,,
AP NewsMarch 26, 2025A bill that would relax restrictions on working hours for Florida teenagers is moving through the state Legislature amid an ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration. The bill would permit 16- and 17-year-olds to work overnight on school days and work longer than an eight-hour day before a school day. Some 14- and 15-year-olds would also be allowed to work those hours. The bill’s sponsor, Republican state Sen. Jay Collins, said the measure was “a parental rights thing” and that parents can ensure their teenagers who work would not fall behind in school.“Parents know their kids best,” he said Tuesday during a meeting of the Commerce and Tourism Committee, which approved the bill on a 5-4 vote. “I can promise you that, even though I was challenged, my mom would have smacked me with a flip-flop if my academic grades had suffered. That’s very much the same thing in most families.”
They tossed out low-income immigrant workers so now they want to replace them with child labor!
Meanwhile the Federal minimum wages have bee stuck for nearly 16 years at $7.25, And each time the Democrats have brought up a bill to increase it the Republicans have squashed it!
Back to the 1890s! Where child labor laws were non-existent, where gays were bashed, minimum wage was a laughing joke, where non-Christian were persecuted, Blacks knew their place and a woman's place was in the home. (Now tell me doesn't that sound like where the Republicans are headed?)

I find that the political cartoons of the 1890s are fitting today! We are going into a worldwide era of oligarchs. Same game... different faces.
