If you want a good review of the report, Erin In The Morning did an excellent review of the report.
The HillBy Brooke MigdonMay 1, 2025The document contradicts guidance from major medical organizations including the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the American Medical Association, which opposes statewide bans on gender-affirming care for youth. Neither group immediately returned a request for comment on the report.“Our duty is to protect our nation’s children — not expose them to unproven and irreversible medical interventions,” National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya said in a news release accompanying Thursday’s report. The review’s release comes at the direction of an executive order President Trump issued days into his second term to end federal support for gender-affirming care for minors, which his administration has said includes children and adolescents up to 19 years old. Two federal courts blocked parts of the order that sought to withhold funding from hospitals providing transition-related services to youth.
It is a one two punch... passing anti-trans EO and coming out with this bogus report! The Trump administration has been losing in court on healthcare for us... I think this is suppose to counter the trend.
Transgender rights advocates decried the review as one-sided and politically motivated. Some pointed to Trump’s campaign promise to ban gender-affirming care for youth, which he has equated to child abuse. The Trump administration has also broadly denied the existence of trans people, and Trump in another executive order proclaimed the federal government recognizes only two sexes, male and female. In a statement, Susan J. Kressly, president of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), said her organization is “deeply alarmed” by the report, which she said “misrepresents the current medical consensus and fails to reflect the realities of pediatric care.”
We all know that this whole thing was a put up job! What therapy do they propose for us? Why see a shrink... it is all in our head!
AP News writes in Trump’s health agency urges therapy for transgender youth, not broader gender-affirming health care
President Donald Trump’s administration released a lengthy review of transgender health care on Thursday that advocates for a greater reliance on behavioral therapy rather than broad gender-affirming medical care for youths with gender dysphoria.
How about some conversion therapy with some Electroconvulsive therapy thrown in for good measure?
“Our duty is to protect our nation’s children — not expose them to unproven and irreversible medical interventions,” National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya said in a statement. “We must follow the gold standard of science, not activist agendas.”
Instead of puberty blockers... they are going to try and talk you straight! So for us we will go through puberty so we get a bread but even worst a deep voice.
So did this beautiful hatchet job... was it a team of medical experts? Nope...
While Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has repeatedly pledged to practice “radical transparency,” his department did not release any information about who authored the document. The administration says the new report will go through a peer-review process and will only say who contributed to the report after “in order to help maintain the integrity of this process.”The report contradicts American Medical Association guidance, which urges states not to ban gender-affirming care for minors, saying that “empirical evidence has demonstrated that trans and non-binary gender identities are normal variations of human identity and expression.”It also was prepared without input from the American Academy of Pediatrics, according to its president, Dr. Susan Kressly.“This report misrepresents the current medical consensus and fails to reflect the realities of pediatric care,” Kressly said. She said the AAP was not consulted “yet our policy and intentions behind our recommendations were cited throughout in inaccurate and misleading ways.”Dr. Jack Drescher, a New York psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who works on sexual orientation and gender identity issues, said the report is one-sided and “magnifies the risks of treatments while minimizing benefits.”
The problem is they you will now see this report pop up in proposed anti-trans bill through out the states legislatures, Congress, in the courts and HHS by the eminent expert on the field who has devoted much of his adult life to medical research including cutting off the head of a dead whale!
So who actually did the report? Shh... it is a secret!
Them writes...
The 409-page report, roundly condemned by medical experts, was released amid the Trump administration's efforts to install a conversion therapy enthusiast as assistant health secretary.By Samantha RiedelMay 1, 2025The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released an over 400-page document on Thursday, citing debunked and discredited anti-transgender sources to falsely claim that gender-affirming medical care for trans youth is “unproven.” Most disturbingly, the “report” advocates for trans youth to instead receive “gender exploratory therapy,” which advocates and medical experts say is a euphemism for conversion therapy — all while the Trump administration pushes for a conversion therapy advocate to be confirmed as a top HHS official.[...]Them has not yet reviewed the 409-page document in its entirety, but medical experts and LGBTQ+ advocates identified numerous areas of concern within hours of the document’s release on May 1. Along with gratuitous deadnaming and misgendering of historical trans figures like Lili Elbe and Christine Jorgensen, the document cites notoriously anti-trans sources throughout its “analysis,” including the U.K.’s widely disputed Cass Review, the “Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine” (SEGM), and long-discredited writer Jesse Singal. The document specifically defends sources like Singal as victims of “silencing tactics and reputational attacks.” (Additionally, one of its citations is titled “404 Not Found” because it references an outdated link to a 2024 rebuttal to the Cass Review.)
The outcome of this report was a forgone conclusion... everything in the report backed their hypothesis.
The HHS report’s closing chapter specifically favors such “exploratory” therapy over gender-affirming medical care for trans youth. “Psychotherapy is a noninvasive intervention that can be used transdiagnostically. It generally promotes improved mental health and psychosocial functioning and carries little risk,” the authors state, citing the Cass Review.
And the conclusion of the article hits the nail right on its head!
“The ultimate goal of this report is to impose a political agenda in place of science and to insert the federal government where it does not belong — between healthcare providers and the families and patients they care for,” Dr. Baker added.
The final nail in the reports coffin is that it is has not been peered reviewed!
The unknown questions... how will insurance companies use this? Will they deny us life saving healthcare? Will the dispute "medically necessary" treatments? Will they promote "conversion therapy" treatments? Will the courts use this against us?
Hopefully the courts will see it as the hatchet job it is and it just goes to show you Garbage in, garbage out!
