CPAC: Torn Right From The Fascist Handbook.

Well Florida and the Republicans are at it again!

I have said many times that the Constitution does not apply to the Republicans and now they are set their vision the First Amendment.

A bill proposed this week by a Republican state senator in Florida would require bloggers who write about Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), his Cabinet officers and members of the Florida legislature to register with the state.

Bloggers who receive compensation for a given online post about an elected state officer would have to register with the Florida Office of Legislative Services or the Commission on Ethics —  though the requirement would not extend to the websites of newspapers or similar sites.

“If a blogger posts to a blog about an elected state officer and receives, or will receive, compensation for that post, the blogger must register with the appropriate office … within 5 days after the first 164 by the blogger which mentions an elected state officer,” reads the bill, introduced by Republican state Sen. Jason Brodeur.

If additional posts about elected state officers were to be posted, the blogger would have to file monthly reports detailing where, when and by whom the post was published, plus the amount of compensation received. Failure to file reports could lead to fines.

Gee… where have we seen laws like this? Possibly the Republican friend Putin? This is something right out of Germany in the 1930s.

You know that this really must be bad if Fox is devouring there own.

A new Florida state bill sponsored by a Republican member of the legislature has alarmed free speech advocates for proposing that independent bloggers writing about Florida government officials, including Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., have to register with the state government or pay a fine.

According to Free speech watchdog, Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), and other concerned citizens, Senate Bill 1316, introduced by Florida state Senator Jason Brodeur, R-Lake Mary, is "unconstitutional," and "fundamentally un-American" for what it requires of independent bloggers who are writing on Florida government officials.

Florida is not the only Republican strong hold that is showing their true colors CPAC is also embracing fascism.

Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes booted from CPAC for promoting 'hateful racist rhetoric'

White nationalist Nick Fuentes was removed from the Conservative Political Action Conference over his lengthy history of openly promoting antisemitic and racist rhetoric.

CPAC Chair Matt Schlapp announced Fuentes' removal in a scathing statement Friday on Twitter, stating that Fuentes' "hateful racist rhetoric and actions are not consistent with mission of CPAC." The conference typically features prominent conservatives every year, including presidential contenders and other high-level officials.

Fuentes is a prominent figure among the far-right, known for peddling white supremist ideals and using his platform to openly promote antisemitism.

Ask yourself why was he asked to speak in the first place? It is great that they canned him but why was he asked? People must have agreed with his rhetoric enough to invite him to talk at the conference, it was only when he got too hot that they dropped him.

Also remember when Trump dined with him?

Trump dined with Fuentes – a Holocaust denier – as well as rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West) last November, sparking backlash from both sides of the aisle.

Following the dinner, Trump said he didn't know Fuentes, explaining that he was only supposed to have dinner with the Ye and that he "unexpectedly" brought Fuentes along with him.
