We’ve seen it, I’ve seen it, I’ve seen it in Provincetown. What?
Gays and lesbians who think it should only be LGB. That trans people are dragging down gays and lesbians. The BBC writes,

What we have seen here in the U.S., and what those who want to divorce us seem to forget, is the Rev. Martin Niemöller poem “First They Came.” We see it in deep-red Republican states: they’re going for the gay-inc. holy grail of marriage equality. We, the trans community, are the convenient low-hanging fruit. Conservatives don’t see us as LGBTQ+; they see us as all “gay.”
They forget we were the ones fighting for our rights at Stonewall, Compton’s, Dewey’s, and the Black Cat Tavern. We led the way, and they followed in our footsteps. We are only the bellwether of things to come. They want to bring us back to the 1950s, when we could be arrested. Conservatives dream of the “Father Knows Best” era.

When I went to proofread and discuss the post... ChatGPT censored it! So I tried the same thing with Gemini and DuckDuckGo AI and none of the rejected the proofreading!
It is becoming much more apparent that ChatGPT is over reacting and labeling anything LGBT as too controversial and censoring it.
Oh yeah, those reformists are marching again. When will we ever learn? Using the outside measuring stick to say who belongs in our movement and who doesn’t. I remember and I will not mention any names, when the gay and lesbian civil rights bill was being debated among our dear friends in that community. Yes, I remember when one of their leaders said, “IF we include those people, we will never get our rights.” And all of those who clutched for white power and were queuing in line to be close to the throne of this dirty, rotten system said, YES.
ReplyDeleteThe movement has always done a flip-flop- reformists, conservatives, back and forth like they really don’t know who they are, but it is always because outside eyes were watching us and we didn’t want to turn over the apple cart and scare the horse away.
If this fascist ball continues to roll, we are going to see more and more lesbians and gays run from the trans community with their little gay tails between their legs. Saw that and know the pattern.
Soon on my blog, I will publish a new work. It speaks to this state of our movement and the historical flip-flopping. My last comment in this thread is going to be, Beware of the reformists who work at the Capitol. They remind me of the GAA boys and girls, but a cleaned-up version who can command folks to pay $175 per person to attend their fundraiser and who smear the name of our comrade Jerimarie Liesegang. Smear the name of a revolutionary anarchist warrior whom most of them didn’t even know. Making her their spoonful of sugar.
