Mini-Post: Figures Don't Lie But Liars Can Figure

We all know that old saying... Trump is justifying hiding the identities if ICE agents saying the attacks on ICE agents have increased.

The Department of Homeland Security told Fox News that assaults against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and federal agents conducting immigration enforcement are up nearly 700% compared to the same time last year.

DHS recorded 10 assault events from Jan. 21, 2024, to June 30, 2024. From the day after President Donald Trump took office earlier this year until Monday, the department recorded 79 assault events, representing a 690% increase year over year.

DHS said the true number is likely higher as they are moving at such a fast pace that some assault reports may not be accounted for yet.

We got to do something!!!

But stop and think, they don't want to think... they want to insinuate that crime is getting out of hand and we need to bring in the military! We need martial law OMG!

But take a deep breath and ask yourself... what were the number of ICE arrest last year versus the number of arrests this year? The number of arrests made this year so far is heading toward nearly double the number of arrest from last year and ICE does not release enough information to know the total assaults nor what they consider an assault on ICE agents so an increase in assaults on ICE agents is to be expected. Another factor is that the ICE agents are getting more aggressive in their tactics, increased use of force, less coordination with local authorities, and raids in “sensitive locations” like shelters and churches. To stir up more animosity in the communities.
