Manic Monday

Lisa’s Manic Monday #145

What is the most expensive meal you've ever eaten?
That is something that I will never forget! It was in Provincetown MA, where I had a $45 lobster (those who follow my blog know that I LOVE lobster) tail not a whole lobsters mind you just the tail for $45 and even being stuffed with crabmeat it was still ridiculous! I leaned my lesson, when it says “market price” ask! I had a whole lobster a couple of day earlier and it was only $27.

What is the fastest speed you've ever traveled in a car?
Can I plea the “Fifth?” It was 112 mph back in my teenage years (I wasn't driving, my cousin was).

What is the highest building you've ever been to the top floor of?
The Empire State building and that was back when it was the tallest building in the world.

  1. Lobster is pretty expensive, so I can believe you would pay and arm and a leg for it! I have always wanted to go to the top of the Empire State Building.

  2. I remember as a kid my mother had lobster at a nice restaurant once and Dad used it as an excuse for not buying me something because she'd spent all the money on the lobster.

  3. But a $45 lobster is not 'expensive'. It's mandatory!!! Especially if you're in Maine... ;-)

I too was at the Empire State and I belive it's the tallest I've been to.

    Have a great week!

    My post...

  4. I totally don't do tall buildings seeing as I'm afraid of heights, and get motion sickness from riding in elevators.
I'm glad you enjoy Lobster so much, makes up for me not enjoying it all, lol

  5. I LOVE Provincetown! Of course I haven't been there in years since I moved back West again, but boy do I miss the Cape and the seafood! I lived in Maine for a while...and I totally learned about asking about market price too!
I also picked the Empire State Building. By the time I went it wasn't the tallest, but it is still MY tallest.

Have a great Monday and beyond!

  6. I'm allergic to lobster so I've never had it!

I've never been to the Empire State Building but I'd love to see it.

  7. In Maine, the price of lobster is so low (relatively speaking) that there was a state-wide advertising campaign to have lobster for Thanksgiving. With all my relatives here, we had a lobster feed.
