This Is The Republican Way.

Throw mud and see where it sticks, Republican candidates pushing lies and are using us to rally their base. They think that if they get their based riled enough that they will go out and vote.

Ads for Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Daniel Kelly peddle anti-trans fear, false info
American Principles Project PAC is attacking trans youth to win elections and end transition-related care for people of all ages, including text and digital ads sent to voters in Wisconsin.

A Virginia-based group is spreading false information about transgender youth, school officials and Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Janet Protasiewicz to encourage voters to support her challenger Daniel Kelly in the 2023 Wisconsin Supreme Court election.

As of March 17, American Principles Project PAC, which belongs to a think tank by the same name, had poured about $796,000 into digital advertisements and peer-to-peer messaging supporting Kelly, the conservative former justice.

The videos, distributed by text message to Wisconsin voters, contain transphobia and disinformation, including broad claims that Protasiewicz and school officials are working to make children transgender.

Chock, chock, cough… “American Principles” I don’t know about you but I sure don’t see lies, and stir up animosities us and not caring who gets hurt an American principle, it see it as Republican mud racking.

The videos also claim school officials keep secret from parents their children’s gender identity or administer transition-related care without parental permission. The ads target two school districts: Eau Claire and Kettle Moraine.

This is a classic tactic of the right-wing extremists of innuendos, lies, half-truths, and misdirection and thing to distract you from the real problems our country is facing. Anything to keep us from discussing the real problems of inflation, the crumbling infrastructure, the wage disparity, and all the real problems not just the “manufactured problems” from the conservatives.

But American Principles Project (APP) is part of a national, far-right movement to demonize transgender people and undermine their rights in realms including education and health care. It is funded by deep-pocketed donors including GOP megadonor Richard Uihlein. In January, APP’s president confirmed to The New York Times that it aims to eliminate transition care for transgender people of any age, calling the current anti-trans campaign “a political winner.”

Oh look! Not here but over there!

Out of 31 ads on its YouTube page, 24 discuss LGBTQ+ people, often targeting transgender youth through the frame of parental rights. The ads — which don’t include the two in Wisconsin — challenged presidential candidate Joe Biden and candidates in 10 states. Many of the targeted candidates won their races.

These people are not dumb, they do research and focus groups to find the best message that resonates with their message of hate. They have turned “Parental Rights” as a buzz word for discrimination. We have a right to discrimination against people who are different from us… the children are to young to learn about… ________ (Fill in the blank: gays, trans people, slavery, etc, etc,).

“I think that anybody using kids as a political cudgel, it’s highly inappropriate, but especially some of our most vulnerable kids,” Rosenberg said. “Our trans kids deserve our support, not to be used as a political tool.”

But do they really care that they are hurting our children?

I don’t know about you but I don’t care to have judges that put politics and religion ahead of the law.

Liberals will win control of Wisconsin Supreme Court, CNN projects

Democratic-backed Janet Protasiewicz will win Wisconsin’s Supreme Court election, CNN projects, flipping majority control in liberals’ favor in what could be the most consequential election of the year with abortion access, election rules and more on the line in the key swing state.

Protasiewicz, a Milwaukee County circuit court judge, will defeat conservative Daniel Kelly, a former state Supreme Court justice, in a race that shattered spending records on state judicial elections. Her win likely breaks an era of Republican dominance in a state that has been ensnared in political conflict for more than a decade.

The race was a critical gauge of whether and how the issue of abortion is motivating voters nearly a year after the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The state’s high court is poised to settle a legal battle in the coming months over Wisconsin’s 1849 law that bans abortion in nearly all circumstances.

Conservatives currently hold a 4-3 majority on the court. But the retirement of conservative Justice Patience Roggensack put that majority at stake.

In the Chicago mayors race, a progressive won the election...

Brandon Johnson, a county commissioner and former teachers’ union organizer, was elected mayor of Chicago on Tuesday.

Johnson takes office next month facing challenges to bring together a city divided by race and a view on how best to quell persistent crime, a subject that loomed over the months-long campaign and set him apart from moderate rival Paul Vallas, who has called for swelling the streets with police.

With all but a handful of precincts reporting — but a sizable number of mail ballots left to count — Johnson led Vallas, 51 percent to 49 percent.

“Tonight, Chicago chose hope over fear,” Johnson told supporters in his victory speech Tuesday night at a hotel on the city’s Near South Side. “I ain’t never seen a city silence a dog whistle.”

Johnson’s victory signals a shift to the left from the already progressive governance of Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s administration.

I hope that the Republicans keep pushing anti-abortion laws and pushing all this WOKE crap because the people are not buying it.
