As China get more aggressive and belligerent I don’t understand why businesses around the world continue to do manufacturing in China.
The Chinese policies on Taiwan, on the South China Sea and their bullying of nations in the area, in addition of the increase in tensions between the U.S. and China I would think if I was a business own I would think twice before thinking about opening new factories or continue having factories there risky. Just this week Apple had to close their factory in China because of the strict COVID policies that China has in place.
We have just seen a massive disruption of world trade because of COVID and how long supply lines unstabilized manufacturing in China. And the saber rattling over Taiwan would make companies think twice over long supply lines.
I would think that the policies of Xi would make companies uneasy in having manufacturing done in China and start moving production back here.

I agree with you about moving manufacture back to our own country. We can't do that fast enough.
