Amid ongoing attacks from Fox News and a vicious harassment campaign over its health center for transgender youth, Boston Children’s Hospital weathered yet another bomb threat Wednesday.

“This morning, the hospital was again the target of a bomb threat,” the Harvard-affiliated hospital said in a statement, adding that it’s “committed to ensuring the hospital is a safe and secure place for all who work here and come here.”

The bomb threat, which police determined to be a hoax after evacuating staff and patients, is the third in recent months. While more details about Wednesday’s threat are still to come, the past two singled out the hospital’s Gender Multispecialty Service program, which is the nation’s first pediatric and adolescent transgender health program.

The ongoing threats have attracted attention from federal authorities, who say the fear such threats impart on transgender youths and their families as they seek gender-affirming care is unacceptable.

The Fox and the other right-wing social media is stirring up enmity against us with their lies…

Boston Children’s says the vitriol kicked off after an anonymous, far-right account called Libs of TikTok told its 1.5 million followers that the hospital was performing gender-affirming hysterectomies “for young girls” and posted a video of one of its doctors explaining how such a procedure works. In reality, the video was not about children, and the hospital has made it very clear it has never performed any gender-affirming hysterectomies or related genital surgeries on children.

Lies, lies and more lies.

But to many, the facts didn’t matter, and Libs of TikTok’s tweet took off. Among those who amplified it was former Trump administration advisor Stephen Miller, who charged: “This is monstrous. How does anyone involved in this still have a medical license?”

[…]

Then the attacks made their way to Fox News, which billed the care center as “mutilation for the children” and let prominent personalities like Tucker Carlson tell his millions of viewers that Boston Children’s Hospital doctors are “evil.”

He even went so far as to say the hospital is “playing the victim” after September’s bomb threat.

Then we have this guy piling on the animosity against us,

Radio host praises death penalty because gays are “the center of most of the evil” in the world
The rant came after the U.S. men’s World Cup soccer team expressed support for LGBTQ people in Qatar, where the penalty for being gay is death.

Conservative radio host Jesse Kelly called America “awful” because the US Men’s soccer team is standing up for LGBTQ people.

Kelly’s rant came on the heels of the news that the U.S. men’s soccer team is expressing support for LGBTQ people by displaying a rainbow logo at its training facility in the anti-LGBTQ Qatar, where the World Cup is taking place, despite protests from LGBTQ activists and allies.

[…]

On an episode of The Jesse Kelly Show, Kelly said he “will be actively rooting against Team USA” and will “pick another country that doesn’t embrace this degeneracy.”

Just another little right-wing bigot.

Words do hurt, words cause violence, words causes death.

Yesterday was the Transgender Day of Remembrance where we remembered those that were murdered by the anger stirred up by the words that the right-wing media stirs up.

I wrote this before Saturday's massacre at Club Q, the right-wing politicians are stirring up the animosity against us and these attacks like Cub Q and the Pulse Nightclub are the results their rancor.

We don't want their prays and thoughts.

We want them to take a strong stand against the violence.

We want them to stop their hateful rhetoric against us and other minorities.

We want them to take military type weapons off the street, the terrorist Saturday night shot over twenty people in less than two minutes!

We want then to stop their draconian laws against trans children and LGBTQ+ people.

The Los Angeles Times wrote an opinion article...

This past election, Republican candidates ran on a platform that characterized queer and transgender people as “groomers.” They targeted the families that support them as criminals. And many of the candidates talking like this won their races. In less than a decade, the right has managed to breathe new life into an old, dangerous narrative — queer and transgender people are threats to children and to the health of the nation. This strategic scapegoating is by design. It galvanizes white, conservative GOP voters by stoking the basest of emotions — fear of erasure.

[...]

Morality-based fear-mongering and the characterization of minorities as dangerous enemies from within are predictable moves from an old playbook. It persists because it works. It fosters a breach from our shared humanity and incites bloodshed. Violent, fearful words breed — and sanction — action.

Stop the violence!
