You Only Have One Choice Today

Vote Democratic for the future or vote Republican for the past!

I normally on voting day just write about going out to vote but today it is different, today you can prevent an authoritarian takeover of government.

Let me list their sins:

The Republican party has packed the Supreme Court and the federal court system with justices who put their Bible before the Constitution.
The Republican party has placed evangelical Christians above all other religions.
The Republican party has gerrymandered states so that they always win.
The Republican party has moved voting places and closed other voting places making it harder to for minorities to vote.
The Republican party cried falsely of voter fraud and placed excessive voter ID requirements that make it harder for minorities to vote.
The Republican party has demonized immigrants and created hatred of them causing an increases in hate crimes against Asians.
The Republican party has criminalized the LGBTQ+ community making it illegal to say anything about LGBTQ+ in schools and limited First Amendment rights.
The Republican party has stepped between a woman and her doctor and banned abortions.
The Republican party has stepped between a trans child and their doctor banning proven medical treatment.

The Republican party wants to control your lives.

The choice is clear today… Vote Democratic.

That quote sums up what the republican party is and has become.

Thank you for this site. Your site is one of the most important in Ct. during this dreadful period. I do hope that others are reading your postings, talking about these attacks against the Trans community and other communities and planning to stop this by any means necessary. Pushing ahead and voting is one way. But let's remember that we must continue to question the very system, and work towards ending all abuses. We must question why some have so much and many other have so little. We must question war and those who make war. We must question those who profit off the destruction of the earth again by any means necessary. I have always believed that in our turning and turning we will finally come out right. (I think that idea was in a Shaker hymn)
To everyone in the Transgender community know that this old queer man has your backs, always have and always will. When the push comes to shove, I know what side of the barricades I will be standing on.
