Mexican contestant Valentina Fluchaire was crowned Miss International Queen in a beauty pageant for transgender women held in Pattaya, Thailand, on Saturday.

The native of Colima state received the crown from the previous year’s winner, Jazell Barbie Royale, from the United States.

“I have no words. … I have worked so hard to get here. I don’t want to get sentimental, I don’t want to cry,” said Fluchaire, who added that she will wear the crown with “much respect and responsibility” and that she will work to benefit transgender people and other social causes.
It was not the first trans beauty contest.

There was other trans beauty contests, one was in Northampton MA.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass — On September 1st, 2012 the Northampton Center for the Arts will host the fourth annual Miss Trans New England Pageant from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Produced by Christa Hilfers the pageant allows transgender women to compete for a title that honors their beauty and their talents while recognizing them as both women and transgender.

“The Miss Trans New England Pageant empowers trans woman to achieve their personal and professional goals and provides a forum in which to express their opinion, talents and intelligence,” said Hilfers. “Many past winners of the Miss Trans New England Pageant have went on to achieve great things in their lives and continue to do activism in their communities.”
Sadly, the pageant organizer was murdered by her husband.

I think Trump hatred of trans people goes back to 2012 when he was forced to admit trans women to the Canadian Miss Universe pageant.

One episode in his long and dubious career took place in 2012 when Trump, owner of the Miss Universe pageant, was forced to change the organizations’ official rules so that a 23 year-old transgender woman, Jenna Talackova, could compete.  This was not an easy defeat for the 2016 Republican presidential candidate.

Talackova sought to compete in the Miss Universe Canada contest.  A 6-foot-1-inch blond from Vancouver, she had lived as a female since the age of 4 years, started hormone therapy at 14 and, at 19, underwent male-to-female sex reassignment surgery.

Faced with the unexpected bad publicity, Trump made a rapid retreat…
And when Trump makes a retreat he never forgets, he seeks revenge and I think that is the reason he has attacked us so hard. We are on his shit list.
