Gaze Into Your Crystal Ball

Everyone is in a tizzy over the novel coronavirus.

So here are my predictions (or rather hopes):

First spellcheckers will include the word “coronavirus.”

I think that the virus will peak in six to eight weeks and then it will be with us until around June, it will disappear and come back in milder form in the late fall or early winter and stick around for the winter months.

The “social distancing” will end sometime in April, people will get tired of it and start breaking quarantine.

I see the doubters “saying we told that this is all a hoax” while believers will say “see ‘social distancing’ worked.”

The Stock Market.

Now this is a whole other story.

I see it dropping for the next few weeks and sometime around there the investors will come around to the new reality. The market will then level off and slowly, very slowly start to climb back.

So what do you think?

Some other sources are your local library you can borrow movies and books online, I am currently on an audiobook kick. I can get them from the library at 3 in the morning.

Another amazing source is the Internet Archives. You can download books, audiobooks, music, old time radio shows, movies, old video games (my favorite is the "Oregon Trail") and a whole lot of other “stuff.”

One word of warning... stop nibbling!

If you are like me you snack when you are bored.

  1. Thanks for that National Parks link - it's pretty cool! The Internet Archive is highly recommended and I have downloaded .pdfs of 19th Century books for some time - books that I could never find except in a major library. I support them and urge folks to donate if they can because it really is a priceless resource.👍
