Fly The Friendly Skies!

Well it is friendly if you have Air Force One if you are FBI Director Kash Patel with a private jet.
Trump raged at air traffic controllers for not working harder during the shutdown. Pete wasn't having it.

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg slammed the president after the president insulted and threatened air traffic controllers for not working harder during the shutdown, even though they’re not getting paid.

Buttigieg was responding to a screed Trump posted to social media denouncing American air traffic controllers. Trump was angry because the FAA was forced to reduce domestic flights last week to alleviate pressure at airports due to staffing shortages.

“All Air Traffic Controllers must get back to work, NOW!!! Anyone who doesn’t will be substantially ‘docked,'” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “For those Air Traffic Controllers who were GREAT PATRIOTS, and didn’t take ANY TIME OFF for the ‘Democrat Shutdown Hoax,’ I will be recommending a BONUS of $10,000 per person for distinguished service to our Country.”
You know what Trump reminds me of while he goes jetting around in Air Force One while people stave, Ebenezer Scrooge from Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”. As Gemini put it, “a notoriously mean, miserly, and cold-hearted man who despises Christmas and only cares about money. His catchphrase is ‘Bah! Humbug!’” It fits Trump to a “T”

Then we have FBI Director Kash Patel:

FBI Director Kash Patel is facing backlash on social media after a resurfaced video showed him criticizing former FBI Director Chris Wray for using a government-funded jet for personal travel the very practice Patel himself is now being accused of.

Patel, 45, allegedly took an FBI jet to State College, Pennsylvania, to watch his 27-year-old girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, perform the national anthem at a wrestling event at Pennsylvania State University. Flight records reportedly show that an FBI aircraft made the trip before later flying to Nashville, aligning with Wilkins’ schedule.

[…]

He also defended his girlfriend, singer Alexis Wilkins, saying she had become the target of unfair attacks. “The disgustingly baseless attacks against Alexis — a true patriot and the woman I’m proud to call my partner in life — are beyond pathetic,” Patel said. “She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I’m so blessed she’s in my life.”
Um hmm… Right.

You know he didn’t have to lie. It would have been okay for family member and a close friend they are allowed to travel on a government plane. But will need to reimburse the government for the cost of the trip and that includes Patel trip to pick her up… the government is supposed to reimburse the government for a personal trip.

You want to place your bets on whether they paid? Well the Democrats are looking in to it! CBS News reported that,
The review will examine Patel's use of the FBI's private fleet of jets, as well as every director's approach since 2013, when the GAO last studied the issue. Investigators at the congressional watchdog agency are expected to examine Patel's flight records to determine the purpose of his travel, how much the bureau spent and whether Patel reimbursed the government for personal trips.
