Texas wants to be a copycat in ignoring the courts... it is the new "In Thing" for the Republicans following in their cult leader.
Attorney General Ken Paxton directed the agencies to change back any sex marker updates that were the result of court orders.NBC NewsBy Jo YurcabaMarch 14, 2025Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton declared Friday that state court orders to change the sex markers on Texas birth certificates, driver’s licenses and other state-issued IDs are no longer valid.State agencies have already prohibited transgender people from changing the sex markers on their birth certificates and driver’s licenses through internal policy changes last year. Paxton’s new directive requires them to go further and revert back any sex marker changes that were the result of court orders. The directive is the first of its kind nationwide and marks yet another escalation in the state’s nearly decade long effort to restrict the rights of trans people.
Saturday Trump administration ignored a court order not to deport alleged members of a South American gang, however we will not know if they are gang members because of them ignoring the court order.
“State agencies have no authority to retroactively change anyone’s valid legal documents,” Hall said in a statement. “If state agencies attempt to implement this non-binding opinion, it would be an unlawful waste of resources that will not hold up in court nor stand the test of time. We should all have identity documents that match who we are as a matter of basic safety and Paxton cannot erase transgender Texans’ right to exist.”
Hey! The Republicans are above the law!
AP News reports...
It was one in a series of assaults that populists around the globe have launched on the courts in recent years, and legal observers now wonder if the United States could be next.As the courts deliver a series of setbacks to his dramatic attempt to change the federal government without congressional approval, President Donald Trump’s supporters are echoing some of the rhetoric and actions that elsewhere have preceded attacks on the judiciary.

A Rhode Island doctor who is an assistant professor at Brown University's medical school has been deported to Lebanon even though a judge had issued an order blocking the U.S. visa holder's immediate removal from the country, according to court papers. The expulsion of Dr. Rasha Alawieh, 34, is set to be the focus of a hearing on Monday before a federal judge in Boston, who on Sunday demanded information on whether U.S. Customs and Border Protection had "willfully" disobeyed his order.[...]In response to the lawsuit, Sorokin on Friday evening issued orders barring Alawieh's removal from Massachusetts without 48 hours' notice to the court and requiring her to be brought to a court hearing on Monday.Yet according to the cousin's attorneys, after that order was issued, Alawieh was flown to Paris, where she was then set to board a flight for Lebanon that had been scheduled for Sunday.Sorokin on Sunday directed the government to provide a legal and factual response by Monday morning ahead of the previously scheduled hearing and to preserve all emails, text messages and other documents concerning Alawieh's arrival and removal.
Do you think that the CBP will honor the judges request to explain why they ignored the judge?
You know who else did this? Ignore the courts... Hitler!
In Federal Law they write,
Among the rights guaranteed by the Weimar Constitution were equality before the law for all German citizens, women’s suffrage, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech. The constitution protected economic rights, including rights to acquire property and pursue a trade. It also mandated judicial independence, stating that judges were subject only to the law.
Hmm... sound familiar? They going on to write,
Hitler’s Assault on the Legal SystemAdolf Hitler took early measures to prevent those victims from engaging their brethren to seek restoration of their legal rights. Hitler recognized that lawyers and judges could pose impediments to his grandiose plans for a vast Aryan empire. In March of 1933, just two months after he became chancellor, Hitler and his cronies began issuing decrees barring Jewish lawyers and judges from German courts. Consequently, the legal experts who were most likely to protect the Jewish citizens against property seizures and involuntary transfers of their businesses to Aryans were unable to do so. This move went unchecked and paved the way toward a methodical erosion of the rights of Jews and other citizens who did not meet the Nazi definition of Aryan. The incursions into human rights ultimately affected all persons under Nazi rule—even Aryan German citizens lost rights previously protected by the Weimar Constitution. How did Hitler manage to override the rights guaranteed in the constitution? In 1930, the Nazis won only 18 percent of the parliamentary seats, but that result made it the second-largest party in the Reichstag. Hitler and his devotees worked on amassing their power, pursuing their agenda, and eliminating those who would try to stop them. They were ruthless in their use of violence and terror for political gain. Nazis launched violent attacks against communists, socialists, and many other groups they regarded as impediments to their increasing power.
Is Trump reading Hitler's playbook? It sure does seem that way.
Hitler successfully asserted that the communist threat required emergency measures so that suspected communists could be eliminated. (Litten was among the “suspected communists” arrested the night of the fire.). With the communists in detention and the remainder of the Reichstag voting under the watchful eye of Nazi Sturmabteilung (SA) troopers who stood guard over the balloting, the Reichstag voted to adopt the Enabling Act on March 23, 1933. The act relinquished all legislative power to Chancellor Hitler and his cabinet for four years. The day prior to this vote, the Nazis had already opened their first concentration camp in Dachau, with space for 5,000 political prisoners.
Is this what Trump was meaning when he said "The enemy within" was he laying the bases for a government takeover like Hitler did with his use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798?
Hitler created special courts to try political enemies and the People’s Court to dole out punishments of forced labor, imprisonment, and death to those who opposed the Nazi Party and those who did not fit his vision of a vast expanding empire of “pure Aryans.” Often the same individual served as prosecutor, judge, and jury, with verdicts frequently determined ahead of time, and the defendants had no right of appeal. The so-called “trials” were frequently conducted just for show, to set an example for others who did not support the Nazi program.According to H.W. Koch, the People’s Court “seemed to embody one of the most chilling aspects of the Third Reich: the use of legal, even constitutional, means to thwart imperceptibly at first, the course of justice and impose in specific areas of the law its own definitions of right and wrong. In the hands of Hitler’s judges, an important portion of the courts became a virtual arm of the state and its instrument of terror.” Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels advised a group of People’s Court judges that they must recognize the court’s political objective. “Whether a judgment was just or unjust was unimportant; what mattered was that it fulfilled its purpose.”
Trump has already went after the law firms and individuals that had lawsuits against him.
Ignoring the courts sets a very bad precedence bode evil for the Constitution. Using the Insurrection Act of 1807 and the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 to punish his political enemies like Hitler did. Trump is following the playbook of every tin-pot dictator by striping the power of the courts... and his loyal cult followers are just eating it up.
