The Republicans use fear for those who are different to get votes. Their rhetoric is designed to stir up anger to get people out to vote, let us hope that it gets people are against all their hate to come out and votes because you sure can bet it is going to get their MAGA voters out.
This was a hate crime pure and simple because the target of the violence wasn’t the woman murder but the Pride flag and the LGBTQ+ community. The woman was just the focus of his hate. Toy can bet your bottom dollar that some people are going to think twice before displaying the Pride flag.
Why do you think all these lawsuit against business’s DEI? It to force minorities back in their place. It is to force us back in the closet. They dream of a Christian White Nation just like they think the 1950 were… bathrooms for the “colored” and sitting at the back of the bus out of sight, Gays in dark sleazy bars for one night stands for illicit sex (For those old enough you might remember one of the talking points the Republicans had against marriage equality was that gays would never marry because they were never in a relationship long enough.(I know couples who have been together for over 30 years!))

August 20, 2023A California clothing store owner and designer was killed allegedly by a gunman who confronted her about a rainbow Pride flag outside her business and shot her after making disparaging remarks about the display, according to police.
Laura Ann Carleton, a married mother of nine children, was killed Friday outside her clothing store in Cedar Glen, an unincorporated San Bernardino County community on the shores of Lake Arrowhead, according to a statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office.
The suspected killer, who has not been publicly identified, fled the crime scene on foot, but was found by sheriff's deputies near Carleton's store, where he was fatally shot in a confrontation, authorities said. The sheriff's office said the assailant was armed with a handgun and refused orders to drop the weapon.

San Bernardino County Supervisor Dawn Rowe also released a statement, saying, "This senseless act of hate and violence is unthinkable."
"I stand with my mountain communities as we mourn this incredible loss," Rowe said. "Everyone deserves to live free of hate and discrimination and practice their constitutional right of freedom of speech. Lauri was a remarkable member of the community and I send my deepest condolences to her family in this time of grief."

If anyone is really surprised about this, then you've not been paying attention to all the hate that's being spieled by Republican party members. Words have consequences, and these consequences often end in the death of innocent people.

Please tell me what the Republicans are for? We know what they are against but not what they are for?
We know that they are against;
We know that they are against;
- A women’s right to choose.
- Non-Christians,
- Us, the LGBTQ+ community,
- Immigrants,
- Rebuilding our infrastructure such as; roads, bridges, water works, updating the FAA computers, etc, etc, etc…
- Social Security
- Medicare,
- EPA,
- OSHA,
- HHS,
- IRS,
- FBI,
- EEOC,
- ERA,
- and on and on…
It's not just the GOP, although most of the adherents of the following group vote Republican, there is a lot of hate coming from pulpits. I've heard recordings of some of the most vile filth coming from mouths of minsters that would make Jesus shutter. Two neighbor families told my wife how great and welcoming a nearby church was until the minister started ranting about the LGBTQ+ community. Both families left that church. I read a quote attributed to Jimmy Carter who pointed out that among the words in the Bible attributed to Jesus, not one is about gays and lesbians.
