Last Thursday I wrote about Boston Children’s Hospital getting death threats well now the conservatives are verbally attacking our doctors that treat us. Now they are turning their hate at a doctor in the Yale gender clinic.

A Yale professor has come under fire over a video in which she describes helping children as young as 3 years old with their “gender journey.”Dr. Christy Olezeski, who co-founded the Yale Pediatric Gender Program, was filmed saying she helps treat those questioning their gender and also provides guidance on “medical intervention.”
“I am the director of the Yale gender program, which is an interdisciplinary program working with gender-expansive individuals 3 to 25 and their families,” Olezeski said in the clip posted on Yale University’s YouTube page.
“We help individuals who are questioning their gender identity or who identify as transgender or non-binary, and we help them with their gender journey.”
Olezeski added that the program helps individuals think “through the risks and benefits of medical intervention, starting medical intervention and also building supports around them.”
“I love what I do,” Olezeski continued. “So, it’s really, really wonderful to be working in this field and to be working with individuals who are gender diverse and gaining their support and helping them on their gender journeys.”
However, the right-wing conservatives got wind of the video and it has been widely circulated on social media.
The backlash against Olezeski — and the program — was swift after the clip started circulating widely on Twitter on Thursday.

Arizona GOP Chair Dr. Kelli Ward added: “Society has lost its marbles.”
Last week I wrote about Boston’s Children Hospital getting violent threats. Friday I wrote about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) introducing a bill to make it a crime punishable 25 years in jail for treating a trans child.
Harassment of Doctors Serving Trans Youth Threatens Key Care

Dr. Gina Sequeira saw the demonstrators for the first time last September on a clear and bright morning. A co-director of Seattle Children’s Gender Clinic who provides gender-affirming care to young people, Sequeira had confronted ignorance about her medical specialty in the past. But nothing had prepared her to see people outside her office, waving signs and handing out flyers warning of the “dangers” of the work she does.“That was really, really hard for us as a clinic,” she says. “And I think it was really hard for the hospital’s patients and families who witnessed it.” Just a month later, protesters showed up again.

Sequeira was sent an unmarked, anonymous letter in her mail about one month prior to September’s protest. This gave Sequeira pause. She’d worried about the risk of anthrax, she tells TIME; of someone trying to hurt her. She finally opened the envelope. The envelope contained posters that decried gender-affirming children’s care. “No child is born in the wrong body!” one read. “Who profits from this crime?”
“I was taken aback, and really kind of fearful,” Sequeira recalls. She’d seen colleagues who provided abortion receive similar abuse. However, she didn’t think her work would be as controversial. “It really made me wonder what the future of our work looks like,” she says. “Is that the path we’re going down?”

The situation has worsened. Her clinic was threatened with protests in the spring 2021. Protests occurred in 2021’s fall. “It really made us evaluate our safety systems for our patients, families, and staff,” she says. Susan says that she’s repeatedly been threatened with being reported to her state’s medical licensing board—though her care is not in violation of any policies—and adds that she knows gender-affirming mental-health clinicians who have faced similar harassment.
Who are the organizations stirring up trouble? The New York Times reported,
Opponents — including some large conservative organizations — argue that children are too young to decide for themselves and must be shielded from potentially life-altering treatments that have only recently gained broader acceptance among the medical community.
Those at the center of the conservative push for new state laws include a coalition of familiar groups — the Heritage Foundation, Family Policy Alliance and Alliance Defending Freedom — that came together in the last two years.
Then last month, a newer player on the right, American Principles Project, took up the cause in Texas, spending more than $600,000 to run a series of highly produced ads on cable television featuring the case of Mr. Younger, who has become an outspoken supporter of restrictive legislation on transgender issues. The ads directly targeted Mr. Abbott during a hard-fought Republican primary, accusing the governor of not taking steps to “protect our children.”
You might remember the Heritage Foundation they were the organizations that picked the Supreme Courts judges and other federal court judges for Trump.
This is the same that they did to abortion clinics… bombings, treats of violence, and protests to intimidate doctors and staff.
It is only gone to get worst as right-wing media and social media stirs up the hate and violence.
