When you look at the organization that usually oppose us or support legislation that tries to marginalize us you can usually find a “Family” or “Christian” organization somewhere in the background. Here is an article in the Christian News Service.

Nine Reasons Why Transgender Policies are MisguidedIt is they who ignore the facts; the fact is there has never been any sexual assault by a trans person in a sex segregated facility. Science now knows that sex and gender are two separate things, our brains can develop differently from our sex but they ignore science.
LAS VEGAS, March 8, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- D.J. Espinosa offers nine reasons why transgender policies are misguided. Their enforcement:
1. MANDATES visual rape;
They grant biological males entry into female-only facilities without female consent. It is VISUAL rape to which no biological female (nor her parents, if she is a minor enrolled in public school) can object.
2. IGNORES fact;
It equates gender (which involves identity) with sex (which involves anatomy).
The article goes on to list,
5. UNDERMINES Federal law;Again they ignore all of the court rulings that transgender people can use the facilities of their gender identity.
Consider Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 which states that "no person … shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance." Sex and sex-segregated activities are protected - gender is not. Depriving biological females of their right to use sex-segregated facilities solely in the company of members of their own sex constitutes sex discrimination.
6. IS unnecessary;At one time Christians who were against integration used the exact same arguments about blacks in showers or lesbians and gays. There is an easy answer to their opposition, shower curtains.
Gender-neutral facilities can provide transgendered individuals with SAFE SPACES without forcing anyone to undress near, or in view of, members of the opposite sex.

9. DISGRACES us all.
These policies grant biological males access to semi-nude and nude female bodies, break state and local laws barring peeping and exposure to do so, and require biological females to participate in their own exploitation.
Not all Christians feel the way they do.
Georgia's Governor Understands Christian Values
The Advocate
By James Rowe
March 8, 2016
After months of remaining silent around the “religious liberty” debate brewing in Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal, a Southern Baptist, finally spoke out last week as he took a strong, faith-based stance against the harmful First Amendment Defense Act currently proposed in his state.
[…]
In his statement, he affirmed the protection of religious beliefs, but he made it clear that protection of one individual does not require discrimination against another. Moving beyond a political statement, Deal made a strong, biblical argument against discrimination itself: “We do not have a belief in my way of looking at religion that says we have to discriminate against anybody. If you were to apply those standards to the teaching of Jesus, I don’t think they fit.”
