No Excuses.

There is no excuse for not allowing her to go to nursing school.

JACKSON, Miss. —A transgender Jackson native is fighting to get into nursing school.

Blossom Brown said she's been unfairly rejected six times.

"People always say, 'You're going to confuse the patients,' or, 'We don't want your kind here,'" Brown said.

Six rejections haven't stopped Brown from pursuing her dream to be a nurse and make a difference in her community.

However, since her story has been on Ellen DeGeneres and “I Am Cait” she has received offers from nursing schools around the country.
