Did Trump Pick A Racist To Run The Defense Department

Did you read about what he wrote about Black soldiers? And what he wrote about women in combat?

AP News wrote...
As the hearing continued, Hegseth was critical of policies he felt harmed the efficiency and "lethality" of the military, namely efforts aimed at racial and gender diversity.

"This is not a time for equity," he said, adding that he opposes quotas, which he claims hurt morale.

[...]

“Turns out, all the ‘diversity’ recruiting messages made certain kids — white kids — feel like they’re not wanted,” he said in his book.
What did he mean about Black soldiers making White soldiers feel inferior?
“I’m straight up just saying we should not have women in combat roles. It hasn’t made us more effective. Hasn’t made us more lethal. Has made fighting more complicated,” he said in a podcast hosted by Shawn Ryan on Nov. 7.

Women have a place in the military, he said, just not in special operations, artillery, infantry and armor units.
Hegseth made overtures to women and Black troops, an attempt to blunt some of the criticism of his previous comments that women should “straight up” not serve in combat and his suggestions that some Black troops may not be qualified.

At the same time, he implied that the Pentagon had lowered standards for women to fight without giving examples of those standards. “The standards need to be the same and they need to be high,” Hegseth said, adding that where those standards have been eroded to meet diversity quotas, that should be under review.

He was also questioned about the issue by Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, an Iraq veteran and a survivor of sexual assault. Hegseth reiterated an earlier promise to Ernst that he will to hire a senior official to prioritize those cases in the military.
Then we have what he said in his book about Black troops...
Hegseth struck a far different tone in his opening remarks than he did in his books

Comments in his books included inflammatory passages questioning the capabilities of Black troops -- like a passage in “War on Warriors” that “we can assume that 17 percent of all Black officers in the Air Force are promoted simply because of how they look,” and questioning the value of women serving in combat.

As Hegseth spoke, a protester calling him a misogynist was removed from the hearing.
Notice, he wasn't questioned about us, also the Republicans blocked the Democrats from seeing the FBI report on him. Why? What is in the report that they want to hide it?

Then in another AP News article this is the scariest part... I mean scary,
Pete Hegseth, the Army National Guard veteran and Fox News host nominated by Donald Trump to lead the Department of Defense, was flagged as a possible “Insider Threat” by a fellow service member due to a tattoo on his bicep that’s associated with white supremacist groups.
So do you think he is a racist and a misogynist?

*****

My theory is that Trump is laying the ground work for a another coup in four years... that he will pack the military with his loyalist.
