It is something that we don’t think about before we transition.
Deaths.
They happen, and when they are our family or friends we attend the funerals.
Sadly I lost a good friend last summer and I just lost another friend last week.
My aunt passed away after I transitioned, but before I transited I went with my aunt to prepay her funerals, picking out caskets and headstones with her.… that was surreal.
After that trans woman that I knew through a support group was murdered.
And now I have to once again brush off my black dress. At least it is going to be good weather tomorrow.
