It is the official home of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera, and in recent years, it had been host to family-friendly drag shows and LGBTQ+ Pride events.The center's 2026 schedule is looking emptier now that Trump has banned any act related to the queer community, and as musicians continue canceling their performances in protest. Though it isn't just the Center's reputation that's collapsing — ticket sales and broadcast views are down significantly this year compared to those under the Biden administration.Trump claims he's shaking things up in the name of saving the center, but in reality, his decisions are destroying it. Here's everything he's done so far.

- Trump Shuttle / Trump Airlines – Airline venture that defaulted and was sold by 1992.Trump University – Closed amid lawsuits; Trump settled for $25 M.
- Trump Vodka – Discontinued due to poor sales.
- Trump Mortgage – Folded within about 18 months.
- Trump Steaks – Retail food brand that quickly failed.
- GoTrump.com – Luxury travel website that shut down.
- Trump Magazine – Magazine venture that closed.
- Trump Ice (bottled water) – Brand discontinued after limited distribution.
- Trump Network (MLM vitamins/health) – Failed multi‑level marketing business.
- Abandoned projects: e.g., Trump Tower Tampa never built, Trump Ocean Resort Baja abandoned before completion.
And now he is about to add the Kennedy Center to the list of projects that turned to lead. And just think this clown is the president!
Trump University! It caused Congress and some state legislatures to pass "protective legislation," so restrictive that many "old line" small colleges could not meet the financial and endowment requirements. i.e. Iowa Wesleyan (est. 1848, yes, Iowa did not become a state until 1849, and closed in 2024.) Northland College, est.1892, Closed in 2025. Finlandia University, the only private university in the Michigan U.P. Est. 1896 closed 2024. Only the large old (Ivy League type?) schools could meet the new "protect the student" laws to prevent another Trump University.
