If you cannot spot the difference between a Republican state and a Democratic state, you are blind!
Right now, I am sitting “virtually” in a Zoom meeting of Connecticut’s Governor’s Hate Crimes Advisory Council, where we are discussing hate crimes reported over the past two months.
What is the mission of the Council? To end hate crimes.
Other states have bodies similar to Connecticut’s. Massachusetts has the Governor’s Task Force on Hate Crimes, while New York, California, and Maryland have hate and bias prevention units or regular councils. However, not all of these are statutory advisory councils to the governor analogous to Connecticut’s.
But Republican states? Zilch.
