Nothing Good To Say

I cannot think of anything good to say about the Republicans, all they are is negative. I think that the only good things Republicans have to say are about their billionaire friends.
Former Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday defended his opposition to surgical and chemical gender transition procedures and transgender-affirming policies being taught in schools during an emotional exchange with an audience member at a town hall in Iowa.

During a NewsNation town hall, a prospective Iowa caucus-goer named Melissa told Pence they were a member of the LGBTQ community and have transgender individuals in their family. Melissa cited the wave of anti-LGBTQ bills being passed at the state level and asked Pence through tears what he would do to protect the transgender community from “historically high levels of violence.”
But what do you expect from the former Vice President, he didn’t want to be in a room alone with a woman not his wife!
“I hope you also will hear my heart on this. For me, what adults do in their lives, decisions that they make, including transgender adults, is one thing. But for kids under the age of 18, there’s a reason why we don’t let you drive until you’re 16,” Pence said.
Sure there is! If you can hold off puberty until they are old enough to make an informed decision. It will prevent a life of angst because their voice changed, because they developed male secondary characteristics that will be with them their entire life.
Melissa responded that they are a social worker and have worked with kids in their profession for years. Melissa said they started an organization for LGBTQ youth in their hometown.

“I have worked with kids as young as five years old that have gender non-conforming and identities that are transgender, and I’ve raised one,” they said. “And so to hear somebody tell me that it’s not OK for young children to make decisions about their gender identity and to ask their school officials for support, protection and help, is appalling.”
I can just pictures these old biddies running around in circles waving their hands in the air going “OMG! OMG! The children! Save the children!” and waving their Bibles in their hands, when they know nothing about what we are going through, they don’t know what it is like.
Pence’s campaign has said if elected, he would have the Education Department issue guidance opposing “transgender curricula and begin the process of blocking federal funding for districts that promote transgender education in elementary school.”
These buttinskies want to condemn us to a life of misery.

  1. The GOP wants to torment youth until age 18 when it may be too late for those children. Would you want to delay mental health care for any other condition? That is an integral part of affirming care; How to deal with this issue? If you're minor daughter were to be assaulted would you delay health care until she was 18? Or if you child is autistic?

    1. Well for the minor daughter they would force her to have the child and then toss them both out on the street to fend for themselves.

  2. This is why I won't vote for any of today's GOP candidates for any office. When I was young, they stood for protecting individual rights. Today, everything about the party has flipped, including positions on: Gun Control, Abortion, and Human Rights. It's hard to believe that they were once the pro-business and liberal party in this land.

Today, the only thing that has remained constant about the GOP is its pro-business stance. And even then, they are hurting those businesses because big business NEEDS a big government to check and balance it - if only to keep it from making mistakes that could take a system down (as we came close to seeing in 2008).

  3. When President Johnson, a Texan Democrat, proposed and signed legislation affirming the rights of all Americans the Southern Democrats decided to switch to Republican, but in name only. When Mitch McConnell claims the GOP is the party of Abe Lincoln, it is not. It is still a party of intolerance and maintaining the status quo for only a segment of Americans.
