I Can Just Hear Them Now!

Can you imagine all these right-wingers will do if she wins the Miss Universe pageant? I can just hear them now!

Rikkie Valerie Kollé made history Saturday when she was named Miss Netherlands 2023 as the first transgender woman to be crowned in Dutch history.

"I want to be a voice and role model for all young women and queer people," Kollé said in a statement shared with USA TODAY. "I know better than anyone else what it's like to feel alone and not be surrounded by only positive thoughts."

Kollé, 22, said that when she was younger and came out as transgender, it wasn't easy. "I struggled and it was a very rough time. Today, I am stronger than ever before."

She added that she aims to bring change as the new Miss Netherlands with hopes that younger generations will have a better experience.
And it even gets most interesting!
Thai business tycoon and transgender activist Chakrapong "Anne" Chakrajutathib, who is the founder and CEO of JKN Global Group Public Co. Ltd, purchased the Miss Universe Organization for $20 million in October.

Chakrajutathib is a celebrity in Thailand who has starred in reality shows and is vocal about being a transgender woman. She helped establish a nonprofit group, Life Inspired For Transsexual Foundation, to promote trans rights.
Wow, will this set them off in a tizzy!

BBC reported…
And her response to the hateful comments?

"I want to thank all the haters because they've only given me a bigger platform. And you won't get rid of me.

Rikkie Valerie Kolle, the first transgender woman to be crowed Miss Netherlands, once saw her success in the pageant as a symbol of her nation's openness. Then she was bombarded with hate online.

Kolle, 22, said she became a target of hate speech after winning the 94-year-old competition last week. Now, she will go on to participate in the Miss Universe pageant. If she wins she will be the first transgender woman to claim that title.

Kolle said in an interview that she was trying to concentrate on the good, rather than hurtful comments on social media.

"I thought we were really accepting.... in the Netherlands, but the hate comments show the other side of our society. I hope that's a wake up call," she told Reuters.
The right leaning New York Post wrote,
Some of the other finalists standing at the back of the stage looked at each other, with some appearing to grimace awkwardly at the unprecedented decision.

Kolle, however, will not be the first trans woman to make it to Miss Universe — an honor that went to then-Miss Spain Angela Ponce in 2018, who failed to make the top 20.

The pageant first allowed trans competitors in 2012, when it was still owned by now-former President Donald Trump, who reinstated a Canadian competitor who’d been booted for not being a “naturally born female.”
I believe that this is one of the reason why Trump is so down on us, he used to walk into the dressing rooms while the women were changing outfits and I think that was what set off on his transphobic rants. It affronted his “manhood” that he could get hot over a trans woman.

“That's the way it is.” Wednesday July Thirteenth.
