The Daughter of the American Revolution!

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) voted Saturday to disband its Martha Laird Chapter in Texas that fought to bar transgender women from joining the historic organization, citing violations of its national bylaws.

In a letter to chapter members, DAR Organizing Secretary General Marguerite Hogan Fritsch announced that the National Board of Management had approved the chapter’s dissolution by a two-thirds majority vote.

“On October 10, 2026, at the meeting of the National Board of Management of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution a resolution passed by two-thirds majority vote to disband the Martha Laird Chapter, NSDAR,” Fritsch said in the letter. “The actions of the chapter have been found in violation of Article XIX, Section 4 of the Bylaws of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution,” the letter continued.

[...]

“The National Board of Management voted on October 10 to disband the Martha Laird Chapter in Texas after finding that chapter officers had used the chapter’s name, leadership positions, communications, and governance processes to further the goals of a separate advocacy organization,” the group told Fox News Digital. “The Board determined that it was this use of chapter authority and resources – not the views being advocated – that constituted conduct discrediting the National Society under Article XIX, Section 4 of the National Bylaws.”
Boy that was a fancy two step... the chapter was struck from the DAR because they aligned with an anti-trans organization... not the fact that it was anti-trans.
“The Board’s decision was not based on the chapter’s or its members’ views concerning membership eligibility, their efforts to propose changes to the National Bylaws, or their right to advocate for changes in National Society governance,” the statement continued.
From that statement it seems they are saying if you don't like trans members... then bring it up at the DAR Board meeting, and they also pointed out that the members approved of adding trans members.

Back in July...
“I am one of those trans daughters,” said one member. “Thank you so very much for being such steadfast allies.”

At their annual Continental Congress gathering last week, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) rejected a proposal to define trans women out of membership in the organization.

The vote was the culmination of a two-year battle among members over who does and doesn’t qualify as a “daughter” in the American lineage society.
Of course the Republicans are hoping mad! Two of them introduced bills in Congress!

Introduced July 15, 2026, by Representative Ben Cline (Republican, Virginia), with Republican cosponsors. It would amend the DAR's federal charter to impose a sex-based membership eligibility requirement. The bill was referred to the House Judiciary Committee

Introduced July 28, 2026, by Senator Marsha Blackburn (Republican, Tennessee), alongside Senators Katie Britt, Mike Lee, Tommy Tuberville and Kevin Cramer. It would similarly amend the DAR's federal charter to restrict eligibility. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Ukraine just took out Russian data centers, and boy, did it hurt Russia! The question is… did Trump learn a lesson?

12 October 2026,

Attacks attributed to Ukraine against data centers in Russia may have reduced the activity of bots connected to Yandex infrastructure by more than 99%, with effects observed on social media in the United States and Europe. The incident occurred on Sunday, amid political tensions ahead of the U.S. congressional elections.

Three major data centers were hit, according to information cited by Le Parisien: first in Sasovo, in the Ryazan region, then in the Kaluga region and, finally, in the Vladimir region, east of Moscow. The infrastructure was used by Yandex, Russia’s leading provider of online and cloud services.

The company announced that the Vladimir data center was damaged in a drone attack and that operations were disrupted. Cloudflare subsequently reported a decline of more than 99% in bot activity originating from Yandex infrastructure compared with the previous week.
Hello? Donald? Are you listening? Your pal Putin can’t influence our elections… you’re on your own!

Meduza.io writes….

Overnight on October 8, Ukrainian forces struck Yandex’s data center in Sasovo, in Russia’s Ryazan region, with drones, causing a fire. No one was injured, but the data center temporarily shut down completely. This disrupted some of Yandex’s own services, as well as those of companies that used the tech giant’s infrastructure in Sasovo.

[…]

Data centers can withstand a temporary power outage thanks to their own diesel generators, the loss of an individual communications link thanks to connections to multiple telecom providers, and even a small fire thanks to automatic fire suppression systems. But, like online retailers’ warehouses, they have proved defenseless against drone strikes. Unless, of course, they are housed in former Cold War shelters — Europe has several such data centers.
Hey folks, this also affects you… all the stuff you have on the cloud could go poof! In a fraction of a second. Gone!
The world is getting a break from Russian bots thanks to Kyiv.

By Jowi Morales

Russian bot traffic has dropped dramatically in the past few days after Ukraine knocked out Yandex’s biggest data centers, with a third attack happening last night. Cloudflare reports that bot traffic from the Yandex network has dropped to just 0.4% of the maximum number of HTTP requests recorded in the past two weeks. It initially dropped to around 57% on Oct. 8, which happened when Ukraine hit a Yandex data center housing two supercomputers in Sasovo, Russia, located around 195 miles to the southeast of the Kremlin. A second, bigger Yandex campus in Kaluga, about 220 miles to the west of Sasovo, was knocked offline yesterday.

These attacks are apparently Ukraine’s response to Moscow’s strikes on its own data centers, some of which resulted in the outage of some of the most popular piracy websites.
So this is Russia’s Google… imagine if Google got taken out? Tom’s Hardware noted that these sites housed:
    • State-sponsored "bot farms" & disinformation operations
    • High-performance supercomputers & AI models
    • Dual-use industrial & military tech
Did Hegseth and Trump learn anything from this?

We used to think warfare meant lines drawn on a map; tanks on land, warships at sea, fighter jets in the air. That’s traditional, symmetric warfare, where the side with the bigger budget and the heavier hardware usually wins. But asymmetric warfare flipped the board upside down.

There are no frontlines anymore. The battlefield is everywhere—and the ultimate weapon isn't a billion-dollar stealth fighter. It’s a $20,000 drone taking out a multi-million-dollar server farm.
I am sure that the Ayatollahs are stroking their beads over this.

So can a Unc learn new things?

Beyond Christian Nationalist!

Hyper-masculine content is the far right's new elixir.

From Hesgeth check soldier's testosterone levels to Baron Trump becoming friends with podcasters online who push... "manosphere".
A group of Reformed pastors and influencers has wedded old-school segregationist theology with the hypermasculinity of the manosphere and the savvy of the attention economy to preach and sell white supremacy, antisemitism and patriarchy to angry young men. Its audience is small but growing, and their movement has ties to powerful religious and political figures.

Michael Spangler does not look like a white supremacist and antisemite.

He has no visible tattoos, no shaven head, no black overcoat or jackboots. No hood, no Confederate flag and no Nazi images appear in the background as he sits in front of a screen for a recent Zoom interview.

Instead, the soft-spoken Christian school teacher and pastor of Piedmont Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, sporting a neatly trimmed beard, was dressed in a charcoal suit and sat in front of a fish tank that seemed straight off the set of Pixar’s “Finding Nemo.”

Then he began talking about Jews. And a broad smile broke across his face.

“You’re asking if I oppose the Jews who murdered Christ?” said Spangler as he paraphrased a verse from the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, which he says labels Jews as “the enemies of God and all men.”

“We need to consider them and treat them accordingly.”

A segregationist and “race realist” whose start-up church, which has a handful of families, bars Black people out of fear of “harmful race-mixing,” Spangler is one of a small but growing group of pastors and internet influencers who openly embrace racist and antisemitic views, casting them as true Christian ideas.
These are the extremists of the extremists.

  • Barron actively advised Donald Trump's 2024 campaign on targeting young male voters through popular podcasts, earning praise from senior campaign advisor Jason Miller.
Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, has long been something of an enigma. At 19 years old and a student at New York University, Barron has managed to keep a remarkably low profile compared to his older siblings, shunning social media, business ventures, and the political spotlight—at least until recently. But a series of revelations over the past week have pulled him into the public eye, painting a strikingly different portrait of the young Trump than many may have expected.

According to a December 10, 2025 report by The New York Times, Barron Trump has been engaging in private Zoom conversations with Andrew Tate, the controversial influencer and self-styled manosphere leader who has been accused of sex trafficking, rape, and other crimes in Romania. Tate and his brother Tristan were, until earlier this year, prohibited from leaving Romania as authorities investigated allegations that they pressured women into pornography and other illicit activities. The Times further reports that the Trump administration played a role in securing the Tate brothers' freedom earlier in 2025, a move that has raised eyebrows and sparked debate about the intersection of power, politics, and celebrity influence.
I would like to point out that Baron's father lost a civil case on rape.

WOODWARD: Bob, you’ve recently published a story with a very provocative title, “The Rise of the Jim Crow Theobros.” First of all, what is a theobro?

SMIETANA: Sure. There’s a kind of subset of evangelical pastors. They’re known for their beards and their dark suits and their very serious demeanor. They’re mostly Calvinists or part of what it’s called the Reformed Church.

WOODWARD: Okay.

SMIETANA: So they believe in things like predestination, and they’re very concerned that men should be in charge of both the household and the church. There’s a bit of a stereotype, you know, the nickname theobro. It’s like bros who are into theology.

WOODWARD: So what turns a regular theobro into a Jim Crow theobro?

SMIETANA: So they’re followers of John Calvin, who’s one of the reformers. Calvin was French, but he was known for a couple things: his work on predestination, so that God predestines some people to be saved and some people to be damned, his idea that, you know, the sovereignty of God, that God’s in charge of everything. And for these folks, there’s this kind of idea that men should be in charge. It’s called complementarianism sometimes. Part of what they are is a response to nondenominational Christianity, which kind of downplays theology. There’s a whole group of people who studied John Calvin, who was their first exposure to really serious theology, and they became part of this reformed movement.
So this is all party of the "Woman's place is in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant." anti-LGBTQ+, anti-foreigners, and anti-non-Christians. Only fire and brimstone religions are allowed. They think that only men should vote.

People who want to turn us into a Christian Afghanistan. In other words into a fascist theocracy.

Bucks County, USA examines our political divisions and finds very fine people on both sides.

Philadelphia’s collar counties are some of the most sought-after real estate in American politics, the swingingest part of a critical swing state. And Bucks County, which sprawls northward along the New Jersey border, is the most evenly divided of them all. In 2024, the county cast more than 400,000 votes for president; Donald Trump won by fewer than 300. So it was a shock even to some locals when the Bucks County school board took a massive turn to the right in 2021, with a newly radicalized Republican majority pulling books from school libraries and banning pride flags and other symbols of support from the classroom. It must have seemed like the perfect spot for Barry Levinson and Robert May to set a five-episode docuseries on the political polarization of America, centered on the friendship between two high school girls whose parents hold vastly different political views.

[...]

Where Levinson and May get into trouble is in treating those epithets as equivalent, as if bigot and transphobe were merely unkind insults, out of bounds no matter how extreme the views of the people they’re describing. Donte King, the Black father of a young daughter, recalls the pain that flooded into his face when his daughter innocently repeated a racist joke she’d heard from a classmate, and Lily Freeman, a trans high school senior, relates the physical and mental abuse she’s suffered at school. But like the deaths that prompted the COVID closures in the first place, their injuries are minimized or simply denied by enraged conservatives who’ve only just cottoned on to what their kids are learning in school.
It is on Passport, so I'll be watching the show and I'll let you know what I think of it.

Extortion!

The Trump administration has warned Ukraine and allies in Europe that the US could suspend intelligence sharing and European purchases of US weapons for Ukraine if Kyiv does not halt its deep strikes on Russian energy facilities, two European officials told CNN.

The warnings from the State Department and the Pentagon were sent over the weekend to officials in Ukraine and Europe, including communications from the US military directly to Ukrainian commanders.

Another source familiar with the matter said the US threatened to cut intelligence sharing.
This has Republicans in Congress hopping mad!
Trump has long blamed the rise in global diesel prices on the Ukraine-Russia war and demanded that both sides halt attacks on energy facilities. Those high prices have also been exacerbated by the US' war with Iran.
Yep, blame everyone else for his ineptitude! And he’s really, really pissed off the Republicans because they just passed a law that made the trade illegal! And Trump even signed it into law! The Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, signed by Trump on September 18, 2026. And now he does this!

President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russia will not supply its diesel to global energy markets ‌until sanctions against Moscow are lifted.

Speaking at the Valdai Forum of international Russia experts in Moscow, Putin said that Ukraine had "partially achieved its objectives" with strikes on Russian oil refineries that he said had cost Russia 1% of its gross domestic product.
Meanwhile, across the pond, Trump is quaking in his boots over the price of diesel and blaming everyone but himself! We know what's driving prices higher: Trump made a disastrous decision and invaded Iran! So much for “The Dealmaker”! He created the mess and now wants everyone else to clean it up!

Why did we go to war with Iran? Trump needed a diversion. Hegseth wanted to bring about the “End Times,” and Israel wanted a sucker to do its dirty work for it.

Oil! The Life Blood.

The whole thing is a farce. A publicity stunt.

The U.S. consumes roughly 3.8 to 4.0 million barrels of distillate fuel oil (diesel) per day. The initial Russian shipment of 300,000 metric tons... approximately 2.25 million barrels, will last us roughly 14 to 15 hours.

The remaining 11.25 million barrels will last about 3 days.

This is nothing more than a stunt to influence the election and make it sound like he’s taking action!

When Harmeet Dhillon took over as the new chief of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division last April, the conservative attorney vowed to radically reshape the storied unit and its mission.

Over the past 18 months, Dhillon has moved aggressively to make that goal a reality. She has pushed out hundreds of longtime attorneys, replaced many of them with inexperienced ideological allies, and used the division's enforcement powers to pursue President Trump's MAGA agenda, according to four current and former division officials.

Three of the individuals spoke on condition of anonymity out of fear of retribution.
That last sentence is the most important: There is fear.
But Dhillon, who was born in India and immigrated to the U.S. as a child, argues that over the years the division's mission has narrowed to protecting the rights of just one segment of society: people of color.

In her view, that has created a form of "benevolent racism" designed to punish "the descendants of those who may have been responsible for the sins of the past."

"As the logic goes, the white oppressors of years past kept Brown and Black people down, why not give them a taste of their own medicine?" she said last November at an event for the conservative Federalist Society. "That's the thinking really that underlies a lot of our civil rights enforcement work."
Under the Trump administration, if a White employee doesn’t get promoted, it must be discrimination.
In just the past two months, the Civil Rights Division has accused law schools at the University of California, Berkeley and Duke University as well as the medical schools at the University of California, San Francisco and George Washington University of discriminating against white and Asian students in admissions.
They’re all WOKE… yeah, right! You know what else they have in common? They’re bastions of liberalism!

Do you really think these colleges would discriminate? Look at all the attacks Trump’s DOJ has launched against them, accusing them of antisemitism, racism, and discriminating against cisgender students!

They’ve turned civil rights laws on their heads! The Washington Post reported:
The Trump administration has upended civil rights enforcement at K-12 schools and colleges, prioritizing cases that allege transgender students and students of color are getting unfair advantages, while severe staff cuts have left thousands of other allegations unresolved.
When you stop and think about it for a moment… the Trump administration is following the White Christian nationalist agenda.

Some of these changes will be easy to roll back but others will take a generation to repair.

What Are We Fighting For?

Politic Corner: Wind & Solar Power.

Wind and solar power have become hot-button issues since Trump began using federal buyouts to pressure wind and solar companies to abandon their projects. Trump has delayed wind and solar permits, and created bogus excuses to block offshore sites, saying that they posed national security risks. Trump's allies in Congress have also scaled back funding for renewable energy sources..

The The Natural Resources Defense Council writes:
Walking away from offshore wind projects in response to short-term political or regulatory uncertainty runs counter to sound energy policy and prudent long-term system planning.
Kit Kennedy
July 8, 2026

The Trump administration is now paying energy companies billions of taxpayer dollars to walk away from offshore wind leases, and the blowback is mounting. Members of Congress are investigating, calling the legality of these agreements into question while California regulators have issued a subpoena raising legal and transparency concerns. At the same time, a major U.S. pension fund is publicly questioning whether abandoning offshore wind leases during a period of political uncertainty reduces risk to the company and shareholders or increases it.

[...]

In recent months, the Trump administration finalized two major offshore wind lease buyout agreements, eliminating four leases that could have produced 8.4 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind capacity—enough to power nearly four million homes.
As the price of electricity, home heating oil, and natural gas keeps rising because Trump’s energy policy quashes the sources of low-cost electricity!

A federal judge in Massachusetts on Tuesday struck down several Trump administration actions slowing down development of clean energy, including a requirement that all solar and wind energy projects on federal lands and waters be personally approved by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.

Chief Judge Denise J. Casper of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts ruled that a coalition of plaintiffs representing wind and solar developers were likely to succeed on the merits of their claims that the administration’s actions violate federal statute and will cause irreparable harm if the court did not intervene.

She issued a preliminary injunction to stop the administration from implementing the policies, which clean energy advocates said would hamstring projects that need to get underway quickly to qualify for expiring federal tax credits.
And Congress is starting to look into Trump buying out renewable energy projects as the price of energy keeps rising.
Administration’s actions will kill more than 30,000 jobs and raise energy costs

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-Del.), Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Angus King (I-Maine), and Martin Heinrich (D-M.N.) launched an investigation with eight other Democratic colleagues into the Trump administration’s campaign to kill offshore wind energy projects with a letter to several energy companies who’ve recently canceled offshore wind projects demanding a response about lease buyout agreements.

“These buyouts have been announced amid a larger effort by the Trump Administration to stall wind and solar projects – the energy sources that are cheap, clean, and fastest to bring online – across the country,” the senators wrote. “At a time when gas prices have spiked by an average of more than $1 dollar per gallon due to the President’s war in Iran and electricity prices are rising nearly twice as fast as inflation, clean energy offers a critical opportunity to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and relieve costs for people across the country. Dismantling the burgeoning offshore wind industry now and creating broader uncertainty for investment in cheap, clean energy will have consequences for decades to come.”

“These projects were poised not only to advance U.S. leadership in clean energy technology and generation capacity, but also to unlock hundreds of millions of dollars in federal and state investment in research and development, port upgrades, workforce development, and community benefit agreements,” the senators continued. “The two Invenergy projects in the Gulf of Maine were expected to help power more than 2 million homes and support over 18,000 jobs. The Leading Light Wind project in the New York Bight was projected to generate more than $3.7 billion in economic development benefits and over 7,000 jobs. The Golden State Wind project off California’s Central Coast would have powered 1.1 million homes, created more than 8,000 jobs, and delivered a $30 million commitment to workforce development and supply chain initiatives.”
As the war goes on with no end in sight, with Trump buying fuel from Russia, with energy prices going out of sight, with Trump sideing with the "Global Warming is a Hoax" oil and coal barons who have donated millions to Trump and the Republicans.

Households in the contiguous United States will pay thousands of dollars more for energy through 2040 because of federal policy changes since President Donald Trump returned to office such as canceling new clean energy projects, according to modeling released Friday by a nonpartisan think tank.

The Energy Innovation analysis found that households will pay an average of $6,500 more for energy, cumulatively through 2040. In five states, households will pay roughly $9,000 more: Oregon, Mississippi, South Dakota, Virginia and Wyoming.

The California-based think tank said there will be more demand for natural gas for electricity because the administration is canceling new wind, solar and hydrogen projects and there will be more gasoline demand for transportation because Trump and Congress are revoking policies that incentivized efficient and lower-emissions vehicles. Higher demand increases prices.
Thank you, Donald! We love getting the shaft so you and your billionaire friends can pick our pockets!

Okay Let Me Get This Straight!

First: Russia attacks Ukraine.
Next: The U.S. and other countries impose sanctions on Russia, including oil embargoes.
Oh, let me squeeze this in: Hegseth fires generals and an admiral who are not politically correct.
Then: Trump launches a “Short, Glorious War” against Iran that lasts a couple of months.
Then: Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz and turns off the oil spigot.
Followed by: Trump running around like a headless chicken, desperately grasping at straws!
Then: Putin throws Trump a bone and dangles a carrot in front of him.
Then: F**k the sanctions! Trump grabs the gold ring!
But: Russia doesn’t have any fuel to sell us!
Now: Trump blames Ukraine for bombing the oil refineries!

The circle is complete!
Is this any way to run a government?

Labels

We like to stick labels on everything and person and the only labels that count are the ones we give ourselves.

So when we say we are trans what does it mean?

We got a grant to come up with a survey (Henceforth to be know as the instrument.) to study the trans community for AIDS. one was pretty straight forward. Cut and pastes the standard HIV/AIDS questions, but... the meaning of words was the big issue that held us up. We asks question like you were playing "20 Questions" or "I Got A Secret"

Okay, think of this. When a person says they are trans, what does it mean?
A. They crossdress.
B. They are drag performers.
C. They live full time in their chosen gender.
D. They have transitioned all the documentation.
E. They have had GCS.
F. All the above.

You can see the problems that we faced. So we asked: Do you ever dress in the cloths of the opposite gender? Do you do it as part of an entertainment act?

So we asked a series of question to determine what the labels meant to them.

But why do we even need labels... Hi, I'm Diana

We like to stick labels on everyone and everything, but the only labels that count are the ones we give ourselves. So, when we say we are trans, what does it mean?

We got a grant to come up with a survey—henceforth to be known as "the instrument"—to study the trans community regarding HIV/AIDS. That part was pretty straightforward: we cut and pasted the standard HIV/AIDS questions. But the meaning of words was the big issue that held us up. We had to ask questions like we were playing 20 Questions or I've Got a Secret.

Okay, think of this. When a person says they are trans, what does it mean?
A. They crossdress.
B. They are a drag performer.
C. They live full-time in their chosen gender.
D. They have transitioned all of their legal documentation.
E. They have had gender confirmation surgery (GCS).
F. All of the above.

You can see the problems we faced. Because of this, we had to ask: Do you ever dress in the clothes of the opposite gender? Do you do it as part of an entertainment act? We asked a whole series of questions just to determine what those labels meant to them.

But why do we even need labels at all?
Hi, I'm Diana.

Sat 9

On Saturdays I take a break from the heavy stuff and have some fun…

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) When is the last time you shed a tear?
Yesterday.
I am not going into details but it is a family health issue.

2) Lyricist/producer Bob Crewe recalled he got the idea for this song while watching a movie on TV. "Big girls don't cry" was a line from the 1956 film Slightly Scarlet. Give us a quote from another movie.
Plastics!

3) This inspiration came to Bob during the late night/early morning hours. What time of day are you most productive?
2 AM.

4) Bob wrote another song for the Four Seasons, "Silence Is Golden." The band was not happy with their recording and never released it as a single. Three years later, The Tremeloes had an international Top 10 hit with "Silence Is Golden." Tell us about a decision you wish you could do over.
No. Too embarrassing.
Too many times I want to do over stuff… mainly what I say doesn’t come out right.

5) Before he got his big break, Four Seasons lead singer Frankie Valli worked as barber. Do you have a hair care appointment scheduled?
First, and I said this many, many times… you got to have hair! When you are a “Chrome Dome” you don’t need to see a barber.

6) Oscar-winning actor Joe Pesci has a connection to the band. He was a young chum of Four Seasons founding member Tommy DeVito. By the time DeVito left the group and found himself overwhelmed by gambling debts, Pesci was a star. He helped his friend out, making Tommy his personal assistant and getting him cameo roles in films. Tell us about someone who has been there for you in tough times.
Actually yesterday was a really down day.

7) The Four Seasons disbanded in 1977 after 17 years together. The original bandmates reunited onstage 1990 when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was an important night for them professionally and personally, too, as it gave the old friends a chance to reconnect and mend fences. Is there anyone from your past you wish you could reach out to?
Yes, my father “Where did you hide those keys?”

8) Another hit song from 1962 was "I Left My Heart in San Francisco." Tony Bennett compares San Francisco to Rome, Paris and Manhattan. Have you visited any of those four cities?
San Francisco, my sister-in-law’s brother lives in San Francisco and we visited them once out there.

9) Random question – You're home all alone. Do you close the door when you use the bathroom?
No… it is never closed always open. 24/7.

Yesterday was my birthday and the pharmacy really tick me off. And made it into a bummer day. I posted it on my blog if your want to read. But I'm not going to link to it.

The Pill Pushers!

[Rant]

I am mad… I usually don’t sound off about “things” but… yesterday was my birthday.

It started off with a phone call…
9:00 AM a call from my doctor's... take your meds!
10:00 AM a call from my insurance company ... take your meds!
11:00 AM pharmacy calls... take your meds!
1:30 pharmacy calls... take your meds!

I don’t know if it was my birthday that triggered the calls but they set me off! And you know what, not one of the callers asked if I was taking my meds... it was a statement: "You have to take your meds"

You see pill orders are issued by a computer… it tells the clerk to count out this number of pills and stick this label on it. It has no bearing on when you last picked up the pills! Ding! This date do this. Being human you forget once in a while, I figure that I have about a 90% medication-taking rate. But you slip. But the computer doesn’t. So by the end of the year’s prescription you might be off by two weeks. But the computer goes “Ding” and out pops another 90-day supply.

So this spring I pick up my fourth prescription of the year. But two weeks later the computer went “Ding” and ordered another 3-month supply. If I picked up the order I would have had just about a 6-month supply.

So now the calls start. “You are not taking your medication”

One time when I complained to a clerk… she just told me to throw out the rest of the prescription and pick up the new one. So she told me to throw out $800 of meds so that they can keep their books straight!

Before I retired… I worked making nuclear plants… safety was #1. There was this form called a 10CFR21. CFR stood for Code of Federal Regulations and I was required by law if I found a safety hazard to report it… it could be a criminal offense!

So if I was going to write one for the pharmacy:
Safety violation #1: Automatic refills ** do** not check if multiple prescriptions of that drug are open. This causes a possible dose reduction for a new prescription for the same drug but at a different dose being mixed up.
Safety violation #2: Automatic refills are not based on the actual purchase but are refilled on anniversary dates. This causes the possibility of taking multiple doses of the same drug.

Breaking News: Russia To Send Us Diesel Fuel!

Do you remember all the economic sanctions we placed on Russia over the Ukraine war like the Direct Import Bans, The Price Cap Coalition, Financial and Banking Sanctions, and Export Controls? Well, those all went out the window because Trump is running scared that the Republicans will lose control of Congress.

So he went to Putin with hat in hand... help me!
Escalations in the Russia-Ukraine war have caused diesel costs to spike this fall, repeatedly setting all-time records.

President Donald Trump said Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin would “immediately” release hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel fuel onto the global market.

Trump made the announcement on Truth Social and said the action would will help bring diesel prices down.
Can you imagine if Biden did this?
“Today, at President Trump’s direction, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is immediately issuing a temporary general license to allow the supply of Russian diesel to the global market,” the Treasury Department said on X.

A document posted to the Treasury’s website said that “the sale, delivery, offloading, or importation, including importation into the United States, of diesel fuel of Russian Federation origin are authorized through 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time, April 7, 2027.

In a separate statement, Putin said that he had informed Trump of Russia’s “readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to the US and global markets.” Putin did not offer any specifics, however, such as when a potential release would begin or how much fuel it would entail.
Just like that all the sanctions went out the window!
Diesel futures fell 4% Friday in the wake of Trump’s announcement, but they remain higher by more than 110% since the start of this year.
This was all done for politcial reasons.

BBC News reported...
"Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Putin later said Russia was willing to supply both the US and global markets with oil and petroleum products.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, meanwhile, said any easing of sanctions on Russia played into Moscow's hands and would prolong the war.
Trump is now beholding to Putin! What do you think the real price is?
But Zelensky hit out at it, saying "gifts to Putin will not work for peace" and that Russia would repay the diesel with "further terror".

"Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged," he wrote on social media.
Trump only thinks of one thing... himself!

Ship & Bunker reported that...
"Anyone considering buying or selling Russian diesel should keep in mind that UK and EU
sanctions remain fully in force," Steve Simms, principal at Simms Showers LLP, told Ship &
Bunker.
And The Guardian wrote:
Zelenskyy denounces Trump's decision to lift diesel sanctions on Russia as 'weak'
Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, denounced Donald Trump’s decision to suspend sanctions on Russia, to let the US buy diesel fuel from the nation that kills Ukrainian civilians daily, in an interview with Axios on Friday.

Zelenskyy, who had traveled to Washington to plead with US lawmakers to pass tougher sanctions on Russia last month, reportedly told Axios on Friday that Trump’s decision, was “not fair and not honest” and “looks like a happy birthday present for Putin”.

“It looks absolutely terrible,” he added.

Ukraine’s president also criticized Trump’s decision in a statement on social media, in which he wrote:
Peace never comes through weakness. Today, representatives of the U.S. Congress were in Kyiv – a bipartisan delegation – and I am grateful to them for visiting Ukraine at such a difficult time. They asked: what is needed to end the war? The answer must be strong. There must be sanctions under the Lindsey Graham bill, there must be support for Ukraine in protecting lives, and there must be pressure on Russia for its war. And today, there was a conversation between the leaders of America and Russia. A conversation that leads to something different. …

Any easing of sanctions against Russia without a clear and lasting de-escalation agreement with Russia is an obvious weakness. It plays into Russia’s hands – allowing it to kill more, wage war for longer, have even less respect for America, and inflict even greater losses and damage on the world. …

Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world. Russia will “repay” the diesel with further terror and perfidy. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged. What is needed is real de-escalation with Russia on a reciprocal basis. We count on America’s fair support for our defense of life, for our defense of people in Ukraine – and on the United States having a correspondingly strong conversation with Russia. A strong one, not a weak one.

Meanwhile, Russia will get the right to sell its oil globally. Congress last month passed a sweeping sanctions bill, which Trump signed, punishing countries that purchase Russian oil. Now it seems the United States is one of them.

If Trump thinks his latest move cozying up to Putin will potentially help in the upcoming midterm elections, he has another think coming.
While Newsday wrote:
Rep. Don Beyer, the senior House Democrat on the Joint Economic Committee, called Trump’s announcement “infuriating.”

“This is what we warned anyone who would listen: Trump isn’t the slightest bit trustworthy when it comes to Russia,” Beyer said in a statement on X. “Giving him expanded tariff powers in hopes he would use them to help Ukraine was a mistake. Now he’s lifting sanctions on Russian fossil fuels.”

[...]

“It’s kind of shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic,” said Michael Lynch of the Energy Policy Research Foundation, a non-partisan research institution focused on energy and economics.

“If we get diesel from Russia, basically it means that their existing customers are not going to get it and they’ll have to go somewhere else, and that will keep the price basically where it is now,” Lynch said.
So the bottom line is that Russia is diverting fuel from their customers to appease Trump... Naw, Trump is not beholden to Putin. So you don't think Trump is a Russian asset?

So Russia is helping Trump & the Republicans to win the elections... so I guess we can say that we have Russian involvement in our elections.

As they just said on PBS News Hours Ukraine has been destroying the oil refiners in Russia... and Russia barely has enough fuel for it's own country.

Why Are They Attacking…

… The disabled?

I can think of many reasons why the Trump administration is cutting back on disability rights (Note: these are not my ideas, but rather seem to be the actual reasons driving the Trump administration's cutbacks):
It costs too much and he has to pay for tax cuts for billionaires,
It cuts into business profits,
It forces businesses to hire inferior workers,
It forces them to deal with the disabled,
They have to see people in wheelchairs.

I think all these reasons are very cynical and could very well be true.

For decades, disabled people have fought for their rights to go to school and live alongside peers without disabilities — rights that some fear could be losing ground under the Trump administration.

Last month, the Department of Education announced it would shift oversight of special education to the Department of Health and Human Services, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose comments on the limits of disabilities such as autism have drawn sharp rebukes from advocates and lawmakers.

Meanwhile, after a White House push to police homelessness, the Department of Justice released guidance that lowered the barrier to institutionalizing any person with a disability.

Taken together, the actions signal a worrying return to a reality where people with disabilities are pushed to the margins of society, advocates said.
Scary! Set your Wayback Machine to the 1930s!
The Nazis saw people with disabilities as an obstacle in their attempts to create an idealized "German race." In 1939, the Nazi regime began a systematic program to murder them.
Even if that is not the reason they want to institutionalize the disabled, and it is merely because it is cheaper to house them, the results are the same.

Reducing human independence and self-worth to a monetary value is typical Republican thinking. Me vs. Us.
Executive actions, budget cuts, layoffs, and legislation—all enacted in the Trump administration’s first six months—have curtailed disability rights and services, including access to Medicaid and the right to free, appropriate public education.

History will show the first six months of the second Trump administration as an all-out war against disabled people. From executive orders intended to roll back civil rights protections to legislation that cuts key services and support, the disability community has faced structural violence in the form of federal policy. This all comes as the community continues to suffer severe impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic that have resulted in further disablement, isolation, and death. It has even been alleged that President Donald Trump once told his nephew, Fred C. Trump III, that he should let his son, who has “complex” intellectual and developmental disabilities, “just die” because of the cost of care.
To me, it sounds like Trump is taking us down the rabbit hole.

As I said, I’m cynical. We can keep saying “Trump,” but it is MAGA who backs him, and MAGA are Republicans. They are leading us down the hole of authoritarianism.

During the 1930s the Nazis tried to:
Influence the elections – Trump ✔
Controlling the press – Trump ✔
Go after immigrants – Trump ✔
Go after the homeless – Trump ✔
Go after the disabled – Trump ✔
Go after LGBTQ people – Trump ✔
Concentration camps – Trump ✔
Taking over the government – Trump Coup?

This election is probably the most important election ever! The next crux will come on January 3, 2027, when Congress is sworn in.

Racism? Or Love of Money?

I just don't know with Trump; it could very easily be both.

There is oil! But also race.

But to get it, you have to dig up indigenous people's cultural historic sites and U.S. military historic sites.

But hey... it's oil!

Conservation groups sued the US government this week over plans to blast the cliff walls of an eastern Utah canyon and build an oil truck highway through an area covered in historic inscriptions and near world-renowned Native rock art.

The project to replace a winding dirt ‌track with a paved road through Gate Canyon would destroy 100-foot (30-meter) cliffs with at least 47 historic sites, including 19th century inscriptions by Black American "Buffalo Soldiers" in the US Army and European pioneers, according to the lawsuit, opens new tab against the US Bureau of Land Management. The cliffs are also a habitat for threatened species such as the Mexican spotted owl, the suit claims.
All hail the mighty dollar! Anything Trump's billionaire friends want, Trump bends over backward for!
Gate Canyon runs north off Nine Mile Canyon, described as the world's longest art gallery, according to, opens new tab the Bureau of Land Management. Nine Mile Canyon, which is about 46 miles (74 km) long, is home to the United States' largest concentration of Native rock art with more than 1,000 art sites containing over 10,000 images, some dating to prehistoric times.

The plan to pave Gate Canyon as an alternative truck route to the Uinta Basin oil fields would turn Nine Mile Canyon into a busy oil highway, potentially damaging one of Utah's most important cultural and scenic areas, the lawsuit claims.
I imagine the fact that it is historic for Black soldiers probably doesn't give any sway with Trump & Company!

The plan to pave Gate Canyon as an alternative truck route to the Uinta Basin oil fields would turn Nine Mile Canyon into a busy oil highway, potentially damaging one of Utah’s most important cultural and scenic areas, the lawsuit claims.

"BLM rushed its April 2026 decision to approve the blasting and paving of Gate Canyon and hid that process from the public," says the 50-page lawsuit filed in US District Court District of Utah, Central Division.

Plaintiffs in the Utah lawsuit - including the Center for Biological Diversity - said the Bureau’s approval of the road project proposed by Utah’s Duchesne County violated a string of federal laws, including the National Environmental Policy Act, National Historic Preservation Act and the Endangered Species Act.
That is why they hid it! They knew they were doing wrong!

All Hail The Mighty Dollar!

Flocked!

Flocked: Adverb, to get “falsely reported to the police.” by an error in reading the the license plate on a car, and then reporting the wrong number to the police!

Used: "I got flocked by a ALPR and they reported me to the police."

Privacy, Surveillance, and the Algorithmic Panopticon: How Privacy Has Been Eroded in the United States

The Legislative Erasure of Privacy: How We Got Here

Over the last two decades, the United States government has constructed an invisible, omnipresent web of communications surveillance. Under the guise of national security, intelligence agencies have normalized the mass collection of domestic metadata, utilizing programs to tap directly into the servers of major technology companies and monitor citizen communications. The USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 fundamentally altered the privacy landscape, shifting the government's focus from targeted foreign threats to sweeping domestic surveillance capabilities.

This infrastructure was further entrenched by the FISA Amendments Act and Section 702. Section 702, which was recently reauthorized despite intense congressional debate, allows the government to compel U.S. service providers to hand over data on non-U.S. persons reasonably believed to be located outside the United States. However, this creates a massive loophole for intercepting domestic data, as the communications of Americans are routinely swept up in "incidental" collection. In addition, legislation like the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) mandated that telecommunications networks be built with inherent wiretapping capabilities, systematically eroding the Fourth Amendment in the digital space.
The trouble arises when the AI reading the plates can't make out a digit so it guesses! And it is not just local... a woman got hauled off to jail for something that happened on the other side of the country.

Lindsey Isaacs was asleep in her apartment when Florida Highway Patrol troopers began pounding on her door, ready to tell her they believed she was responsible for the deaths of three people.

Their evidence — images of Isaacs’ vehicle captured by a Flock Safety camera near the Deland, Florida scene and “marks” on the Durango they alleged were “consistent with the damage” to the hit vehicles.

“I thought I was getting set up. I didn’t understand what was going on,” Isaacs said.

Because of images of her license plate and claims of what would turn out to be non-existent physical evidence, Isaacs spent 13 days in jail after being arrested and denied bond for crimes she did not commit.

If Trump is so sure that elections are rigged, then why didn’t he invite the OSCE’s international election observers to monitor the elections?
Decision Compounds Fears Sparked by Administration Actions Around Midterms
Human Rights Watch
September 25, 2026

The Trump administration’s decision not to invite the leading international election observation body to monitor crucial US midterm polls fuels fears of serious human rights concerns around the upcoming elections, Human Rights Watch said today.

“The US government has long criticized Russia and other governments for dodging external scrutiny of their elections,” said Philippe Bolopion, executive director of Human Rights Watch. “Now the Trump administration is mimicking that behavior.”

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which has observed every US federal election since 2002, called the decision “regrettable” and “not in line with” US commitments. Just over a month before the elections, the United States is mired in several controversies that raise concerns about the rights of voters, Human Rights Watch said.
It sure makes you wonder: What is Trump hiding? If he is so sure there is election fraud, then why doesn’t he invite independent international observers to help verify his claims? What would he have to lose by allowing outside observers to see for themselves?
