Trampling On Your Rights

Sometimes when I am reading the morning news just one or two paragraphs catch my attention, this morning it was in the Sacramento Bee…

“There are people in the entertainment and journalistic media who think that I and other people like me are bigots because we still believe in biological reality,” Snider said. “There is a view out there that gender has been artificially constructed, and it’s not a biological reality,” he added. Our position is that it in fact is a biological reality.”

Is it bigotry because they are still using outmoded science?  Or is it bigotry because they don’t want to learn? Science has progressed so much farther than the 1950s beliefs that sex and gender are the same and that sex is nothing more than our chromosomes, we know now that some of the factors are our in our DNA and hormones, chromosomes only play one part in determining our gender.

There are those who have simplest view of sex, they see a binary male/female world, they want two little boxes to check off but nature is never simple it is very complex; is that bigotry? I don’t think so but it becomes bigotry when that do not treat everyone the same.

I don’t really care what they think, they can think the world is flat for all I care, what is important is behavior. When someone uses a bathroom it is still against the law to look where you shouldn’t.
