Backed In To A Corner

What happens to an animal when you trap them in a corner, they fight back ferociously. That is what the bigots are doing.

Four black churches in the south have burned to the ground because of arson. The hate mongers flag is under attack, LGBT people have won a major victory and as a result attacks have increased.
Violent Anti-LGBT Hate Crimes On The Rise After Marriage Equality Ruling
Several violent attacks on the LGBT community have occurred in the days after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of marriage equality.

As expected, there are lots of people who are not happy with the Supreme Court’s ruling last Friday, giving equal marriage rights to same-sex couples across the country. Conservative politicians and organizations immediately lashed out through multiple media channels. Unfortunately, physical attacks have also occurred.

On Sunday, June 28, Lucas Dylan Wilhelmson was charged with assault in North Carolina after entering an LGBT bar, criticizing the Supreme Court’s ruling, and attacking the bar’s owner. According to Qnotes, the bar’s general manager explained that the attacker came in looking to start a fight. “From the second he started talking to people, it was downhill from there. He was looking for trouble. He said he was straight, but you could tell he obviously had deep issues from what he was saying and how he was acting. When he came in, he did not seem friendly at all.” He was released after posting a $3,000 bail.
The article also says, “a bystander was shot at a Pride event in San Francisco,” and “In Cincinnati, a pro LGBT business was vandalized on Sunday.” And then In Seattle, “a couple was also attacked at a Pride event over the weekend.” and “a man wearing rainbow-colored beads says he was called a homophobic slur, and his attacker, placing a gun to his stomach.” The article goes on to say,
The Seattle Police report that later Sunday evening "a man and woman attacked a transgender victim." The "suspects approached and asked 'did you enjoy your parade?' followed by an anti-gay slur. The male suspect then punched the victim in the face several times as the woman jumped on the victim’s back. The attack left the victim sprawled on the sidewalk. The male suspect put his foot on the victim’s head before fleeing the scene with his accomplice."

Police arrested one of the two suspects, also on a hate crimes charge.
Were these because of the Supreme Court verdicts on Friday? We don’t really know but the far right wing conservatives have lost a number of battles last week and many of them are feeling frustrated and might be lashing out.

The Daily Beast has this article,
Yes, There’s a July 4 Terror Threat From the Right
The government is warning about increased ‘chatter’ leading up to our nation’s birthday. I believe it. But I bet it’s not from Muslims.

Be afraid. In fact, be very afraid. I think that our government officials might just be right about a potential terrorist attack on U.S. soil during the July 4 weekend or in the foreseeable future.

1. Calls for violence surrounding gay marriage: After the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that gay couples have the same freedom to marry as the rest of us, Pastor Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church called for the stoning death of any pastor who would perform a same sex marriage. He also called for the murder of all LGBT people, stating “I hate them with a perfect hatred… I count them mine enemies.”

2. Black churches are burning: At least two of the six black churches that caught fire last week are believed to have been caused by arson.

This threat is so serious that the NAACP issued a warning earlier this week urging black church leaders to take “necessary precautions” to protect themselves from other attacks.

3. Right-wing politicians’ alarming rhetoric could radicalize people: After the Supreme Court recognized same sex marriage, we heard the shrill cries of victimhood by some conservative politicians. For example, Mike Huckabee remarked that he expects civil disobedience by some Christians in light of the court decision. Let’s be blunt, this is Huckabee’s attempt to inspire civil disobedience. We also heard Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal describe the Court’s ruling as “an all out assault” against the “rights of Christians.”

4. We have 784 hate groups on U.S. soil. Per the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), hate groups have grown by 30 percent since 2000… In fact, the SPLC is so concerned by the threat posed by these homegrown terror groups that last week they sent a letter to congressional leaders urging them to hold “hearings on the threat of domestic terrorism.”
Add to the mix the 2016 presidential election and the polls show that the liberals are leading and the level of anger can create violence.
