This is so old that it is no long news, whether it LGBT history, a forum, a planning committee it seems like if we are invited it is just an afterthought.
In Louisville they are discussing trans-issues without a trans-person on the panel…
Louisville Forum on Transgender Issues Doesn't Include Any Transgender PanelistsClose, but no cigar.

The Louisville Forum's July discussion will tackle the issue of growing up transgender in Louisville—though none of the four panelists are transgender.
The move has prompted criticism from some LGBTQ and transgender activists and writers.
Dale Josey, co-chair for the programs and issues committee for the Forum, a nonpartisan public issues group, said organizers asked Karen Berg, the mother of a trans student, to take part in the panel and represent the human side of the issue.
Why not have both? A parent and a trans-person, after all it is about trans-people shouldn’t they be the most panelists?
But Louisville is not alone, last year in Connecticut the Connecticut Forum had a forum on "cultural attitudes surrounding LGBT issues," but at least it was tilted “Bring Gay” but all the ads pushed a “LGBT” panel. In reality it was just gays and a lesbian from “Gay Inc.” The panel was Martina Navratilova, Dan Savage, and Bishop Gene Robinson, now tell me that this panel had a lot in common most gays and lesbians struggle in life.
