Mini-Post: The Billionaires Don't Have Enough Money!

Trump just gave $625 million to coal companies! Yup, coal companies!

The Trump administration said Monday it will open 13 million acres of federal lands for coal mining and provide $625 million to recommission or modernize coal-fired power plants as President Donald Trump continues his efforts to reverse the year-long decline in the U.S. coal industry.

Actions by the Energy and Interior departments and the Environmental Protection Agency follow executive orders Trump issued in April to revive coal, a reliable but polluting energy source that’s long been shrinking amid environmental regulations and competition from cheaper natural gas.

Environmental groups denounced announcement, which come as the Trump administration has clamped down on renewable energy, including freezing permits for offshore wind projects, ending clean energy tax credits and blocking wind and solar projects on federal lands.
Gee... he stopped wind power projects! He stopped solar project! And now he's pushing coal like a used car salesman "Have we got a deal for you!"

If I owned one of those coal companies I would be very leery about spending that money, which was not specifically approved by Congress. And you darn well know that this will be challenged in court

Mini-Post: On The Plus Side

One of the fringe of transitioning that no one ever talks about... if being able to identify junk mail at a glance.

This morning I got U.S. mail I got a nice letter but it was spam. How do I know with just looking at it? It had my deadname!

That name hasn't been around in close to twenty years.

And yes, I did just get an offer to go to a retirement planning session, but it had my deadname on it, I wonder what old list they got my name and address from?

He's Happy, He Is Like A Kid In A Candy Store

Trump is actually gleeful over the shutdown... he doesn't see the hardship it will cause millions of people. He doesn't care about the millions who will be laid off. He doesn't care what it will do to the economy. He is only after getting more political power... this is nothing more than a power grab at the people's expense!

Funding for the US government will be cut off at the end of Tuesday unless President Donald Trump's Republican Party can agree with opposition Democrats on a way forward on a spending bill.

That could bring some - but not all - US government services to a temporary halt.

Although budget confrontations are common in US politics, this particular spending fight is especially tense, given that Trump has spent the last nine months drastically cutting down the size of the federal (meaning national) government.
What will it mean to we the people?
What's different about the White House response this time?
What stands out about this current standoff is the position of Trump's team.

In the past, long shutdowns were usually seen as politically dangerous, hampering both voters' everyday lives and the images of lawmakers and the president.

But this time around, the Trump administration appears more than happy to shutter large parts of the US government for an extended period. In fact, officials have threatened to use a shutdown to identify "non-essential" workers who could then be permanently let go.

Also, after previous shutdowns, government operations mostly returned to normal, with staff and spending levels largely going back to prior levels once the standoff is resolved.

Over the past nine months, however, the Trump administration has slashed spending and pushed workers out of their jobs, testing the boundaries of presidential power. A shutdown could allow the administration to accelerate its massive reductions.
Don't expect this shutdown to be over fast... we are in it for the long haul.

President Donald Trump has had one refrain in recent days when asked about the looming government shutdown.

Will there be a shutdown? Yes, Trump says, “because the Democrats are crazed.” Why is the White House pursuing mass firings, not just furloughs, of federal workers? Trump responds, “Well, this is all caused by the Democrats.”

Is he concerned about the impact of a shutdown? “The radical left Democrats want to shut it down,” he retorts.

“If it has to shut down, it’ll have to shut down,” Trump said Friday. “But they’re the ones that are shutting down government.”

In his public rhetoric, the Republican president has been singularly focused on laying pressure on Democrats in hopes they will yield before Wednesday, when the shutdown could begin, or shoulder the political blame if they don’t. That has aligned Trump with House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., who have refused to accede to Democrats’ calls to include health care provisions on a bill that will keep the government operating for seven more weeks.
Trump does what Trump does best... lie and blame others!
Still, Republicans say they are confident Democrats would be faulted if the closure comes. For Trump, the impact would go far beyond politics. His administration is sketching plans to implement mass layoffs of federal workers rather than simply furloughing them, furthering their goal of building a far smaller government that lines up with Trump’s vision and policy priorities.
Trump is trying to blame us for the shutdown over our healthcare, I wrote about that here.

What do the Democrats want? Usually it is the Republicans making demands...
The GOP’s stance — a short-term extension of funding, with no strings attached — is unusual for a political party that has often tried to extract policy demands using the threat of a government shutdown as leverage.

[...]

This time, it’s the Democrats making the policy demands.

They want an extension of subsidies that help low- and middle-income earners who buy insurance coverage through the Obama-era health care law. They also want to reverse cuts to Medicaid enacted in the GOP’s tax and border spending bill this year. Republican leaders say what Democrats are pushing for is too costly and too complicated to negotiate with the threat of a government shutdown hanging over lawmakers.
Trump is itching to use his hatch to cut jobs and lay people off.

We are in this shutdown for the long haul, Republicans in Congress have no backbone to stand up to Trump. My prediction is that this shutdown will be the longest in history, in another PBS News article they write...
Trump has shown little interest in entertaining Democrats’ demands on health care, even as he agreed to hold a sit-down meeting Monday with Schumer, along with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, House Speaker Mike Johnson and House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries. The Republican president has said repeatedly he fully expects the government to enter a shutdown this week.
I will tell you this... Congress will not be singing "I'll be home for Christmas" because they will still be battling CR in Congress.

Mini-Post: Swear Allegiance To Trump?

Through out history leaders have brought their generals together for coups, purges, etc, etc.

They're coming to take a loyalty oath. To hear a speech about "warrior ethos." To take a physical fitness test.

These are among the array of theories outsiders have floated in their attempts to explain a mysterious mass gathering Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth hastily ordered last week, summoning hundreds of top military commanders to Quantico, Virginia, on Sept. 30.

The Pentagon isn't dropping hints about why it ordered its highest-level officers from around the world to report to the base for an 8 a.m. meeting, which will likely cost taxpayers millions of dollars and create security challenges at home and abroad.
In history we only have to look to Germany in the 1930s:

In Germany, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler orders a bloody purge of his own political party, assassinating hundreds of Nazis whom he believed had the potential to become political enemies in the future. The event became known as the Night of the Long Knives.

The leadership of the Nazi Storm Troopers (SA), whose four million members had helped bring Hitler to power in the early 1930s, was especially targeted. Hitler feared that some of his followers had taken his early “National Socialism” propaganda too seriously and thus might compromise his plan to suppress workers’ rights in exchange for German industry making the country war-ready.

Trump has been following the Germany playbook, is this another page taken from it? It make you wonder. And it says a lot about the Presidency that you are wondering that. Also consider: Hegseth barring press from the Pentagon without an escort and a new 'pledge' for reporters at the Pentagon.
This reminders me of the Chinese blessing/curse: "May you live in interesting times."

PragerU What Are They Teaching The Children?

On Facebook a post came up that asked could you pass this student tests?

So I took the challenge but, the first thing that they asked was, name, address, email, phone number! Whoa no way were they going to get all that personal information out of me... so I lied.

Here are some of the questions that they asked...
Q2: How is a child’s biological sex typically identified?
A: Parental affirmation of child's preference
B: Personal feelings
C: Visual anatomical observations and Chromosomes ✓
D: Online registration

Q3: Which chromosomes pair determines biological sex in humans?
A: AA/BB
B: XX/XY ✓
C: RH/AB
D: XE/XQ

Q26: What was Abraham Lincoln's primary reason for waging the Civil War?
A: To preserve states rights
B: To abolish slavery
C: To preserve the union ✓
D: To end the union
Their answers are all BULL! The thing is... they are all wrong or half truths chromosomes only play a little part in determining sex.

Take question 2 for an example there are all types of proteins also help determine sex. Do you know that there are XY woman out there?

It is called Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (AIS) is... well I will let the medical people at Cleveland Clinic tell you,
Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is a rare, inherited, sexual development disorder. People with AIS are genetically male, but don’t develop male external genitals because their bodies can’t respond to male sex hormones. AIS can cause problems during puberty, as well as infertility as an adult.
Think of it as a lock and key, the key is testosterone and the lock is what coverts a female fetus into a male fetus. there is testosterone but there are no receptors on the cells in the fetus/

Question 3 is wrong, flat out wrong. We have,
  1. XXY – Klinefelter Syndrome
  2. XO – Turner Syndrome
  3. XYY – Jacobs Syndrome
  4. XXX – Triple X Syndrome
  5. XXYY – XXYY Syndrome
Those are only the top five! And remember this is the test that they are giving out of state teachers!

And then we have question 26;
Okay, here is my take on why the Civil War happened. Slavery was no longer the elephant in the room... it was the room. I believe that the Fugitive Slave Act and the Compromise of 1850, were the matches that lead to the Civil War. Slavery was now in the North's face.

The South started jump up and down demanding states rights and return our slaves, and the North thumbed their nose them. The South took all their marble and left. And the North said no way, you can do that!

Mini-Post: This Is Bull...

I bet you that you didn't know we had so much power! 0.5% of the people is causing so much harm to the other 99.5%! Imagine!

The bill has kept congress at a stand-still over the past few days after Democrats refused to provide the necessary votes for it to go through. Unless agreement is reached by 12.01am (Eastern) on Wednesday (1 October), sections of the government will be unable to function.

Donald Trump initially refused to meet with Democrats to avoid the shutdown, accusing minority leaders Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer of making “unserious and ridiculous demands”. The Republicans control both the senate and house of representatives.
However there is one big flaw in Trump's statement, the Democrats are not asking for that! Just a minor detail... but Trump lied to mobilize his base. He is counting on his cult followers not to know the truth.

What they are asking for is: an extension of Affordable Care Act (ACA) Subsidies, rollback of Medicaid Cuts, restoration of Public Media Funding, and prohibition on "Pocket Rescissions."

Do you see us in any of reasons why the Democrats are willing to shut down the government? But Trump will be crowing from the rooftops that he stopped the Democrats from added us?

I know that there are many, many trans people think we should shut down the government over our healthcare. I do not.

I think we have to pick our battles, and the spending bill should not be one of our skirmishes. There is too much at stake here, and the Republicans are ready to drive a spike in us over this. Our goal must be to win back Congress in 2026 and the presidency in 2028. All others should take a backseat to those goals.

We will need all the votes we can get to overcome the gerrymandering of the electoral map the Republicans have created."

Big Government v. Smaller Government

I was searching for an article to post on another Facebook page I run about LGBTQ+ seniors, and an article in Newsweek caught my attention...
Louisiana, meanwhile, ranks as the worst state in the U.S. for senior care according to Retirement Living's analysis. As well as low-quality nursing facilities and high rates of preventable hospitalizations, researchers noted that the state's health care system has "some of the worst health outcomes in the country," a fact acknowledged in other analyses.

"The physical environment is another drawback for seniors in Louisiana. Air quality falls below average, while access to parks is limited throughout the state," researchers wrote. "Louisiana also has the second-worst drinking water in the U.S., which poses a significant health and safety risk for all residents, but particularly for seniors."

With the highest rates of both senior poverty and social isolation in the U.S., Mississippi comes in second last place, followed by West Virginia, the state with the worst senior health care access and the most preventable hospitalizations in the nation.
Is this the model of "less government" that the Republicans are pushing? If so I don't want it! Tell why would you want to move to a southern state?

Stop and think for a moment, the southern states are a poster child for the Republican dream of smaller governments and this is the results... do you like the results?
  • Healthcare: They do not believe in public funding, so they have the highest uninsured rates and low life expectancy.
  • Education: Less government spending on public education results in underperforming schools and low graduation rates.
  • Taxes: Low or no income tax results in high reliance on sales taxes (regressive), underfunded services, and a dependence on federal funding.
  • Labor: "Right to Work" states result in lower wages and fewer worker protections.
  • Welfare/Safety Net: Shrinking the safety net results in persistent poverty, food insecurity, and reliance on SNAP, WIC, etc.
Education: there is a article in the Daily Talks Hub, "Back to School: The Least and Most Educated States in the US"
50th Place – Mississippi
Once again, the Magnolia State finds itself at the tail end of the American educational race. This isn’t a new view for it, as it’s often seen the back of the pack when it comes to schooling systems. But wait, there’s more! This educational rollercoaster doesn’t seem to have an end in sight, with the state’s academic woes continuing to pile up.

49th Place – West Virginia
In the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia, it’s not just the students who find themselves in a pickle, but the educators too. As reported by WBOY News, the trifecta of job pressures, meager salaries, and limited opportunities for advancement has created a revolving door, with teachers exiting as quickly as they entered. This teacher exodus is a conundrum that needs a solution, and fast!

48th Place – Louisiana
Imagine a gumbo pot of challenges that has Louisiana languishing near the bottom of the education league table. The state’s math skills are as murky as a bayou swamp, ranked the worst in the entire nation. Their reading competency isn’t much better, landing a dismal fourth from the bottom. Additionally, high school dropouts are as common as crawfish at a boil, with Louisiana boasting the fifth-highest rate in the country.

47th Place – Arkansas
Cracking the code behind Arkansas’s educational conundrum might seem like a tough nut to crack, but economists believe they’ve hit the bull’s eye. The state, often considered the underdog in the country’s wealth rankings, has an intimate tango with poverty. This dance of destitution, they argue, is the compelling ballad behind the state’s educational woes.
They care more about their sports teams then they do on education! Oh and where does Connecticut fall in the list?
5th Place – Connecticut
Hold on to your hats, folks! We’re now breaking into the top five, the crème de la crème of American education. Snagging the 5th spot is the charming state of Connecticut! Its impressive ranking is largely credited to its littlest learners, with a significant chunk of kiddos hitting the books from a tender age. That’s right, Connecticut is making sure its children start their educational journey early, and it’s clearly paying off!

Did you know that Connecticut is ahead of the curve when it comes to early education? While the national average for preschool attendance among 3 to 4-year-olds is a mere 47.7%, Connecticut is acing the test with a whopping 65.6% of kids in preschool! Not to mention, they’re also making the grade in kindergarten enrollments, boasting a sky-high rate of 80.7% – securing a bronze medal for the third highest in the entire nation!
Then their environment is polluted: less government oversight in Southern states has often meant more pollution and environmental degradation. The Mississippi River Chemical Corridor, (aka "Cancer Alley" in Louisiana it is an 85-mile stretch along the Mississippi River with over 150 petrochemical plants. where there is an extremely high cancer rates, a high rates of asthma, and respiratory illness.) where mega-corporations care more about the the bottom-line then the health and welfare of the people.

If this the future that the Republicans want for us? Are the southern states a model for the rest of the country? Where billionaires rack in the cash and the citizens live in poverty, riddle with diseases, and die young?

Lets go out and vote in November 2026 and vote Democrat. To keep from spiraling down to the lowest common denominator!

I have been getting pushback because I have been moiving away from trans issues!

But now with Trump, politics have become a trans issue. With all the attacks on us by the Republicans we need to defeat them in the elections. We need the voter turnout to overcome the Republicans gerrymandering! We need the voters to say enough is an enough.

When you talk to southern Republicans they see northern Democrats as attacking their way of life! They see it as an attack on their "Christian values" with all our LGBTQ+ stuff! They still are fighting the Civil War and Reconstruction!

The Squeeze Is On

They are afraid of the White shirts and red hats.

Looking back over the summer and Pride season we see that businesses are afraid! They are really afraid after what they did to Target! They turned off the tap. Bigotry won.
Pride organizers in Fort Myers cited funding issues, while those in Tampa also cited the political environment.

Pride organizers in the Florida cities of Tampa and Fort Myers will not hold their annual Pride events this year, citing funding issues.

There will be no Pride Southwest Florida in Fort Myers in November, according to Michael Hange, a board member for Pride-SWFL, the nonprofit that has historically organized the event. Pride Southwest Florida debuted in 2009 and returned last year after a multiyear Covid-19 hiatus, according to organizers.
This is the part where fear comes in...
Adam Larivee, the president of LGBTQ nonprofit Visuality, which has had a longstanding relationship with Pride Southwest Florida, said the annual event will not happen because of a lack of sponsorship dollars. He said his organization recently agreed to combine with Pride-SWFL and take over the event going forward.
The are running scared!
“Our goal in this environment is exposure, education and experience,” he said, adding that he believes negative backlash to the LGBTQ community is often rooted in a lack of knowledge. “Our goal is not necessarily to ruffle feathers, but to say, we’re here, that Fort Myers is a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community.”
You see that is how "Don't Say Gay" works, "rooted in a lack of knowledge" when you pull book from library shelves,

Many U.S. corporations this year stopped supporting Pride events that celebrate LGBTQ+ culture and rights, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in budget shortfalls ahead of the summer festivities and raising questions about corporate America’s commitment to the cause.

The moves come as President Donald Trump has shown antipathy for trans protections and has attempted to roll back some LGBTQ+ friendly federal policies. Experts also note that a growing slice of the public has grown tired of companies taking a stance on social and political issues.
But you know what? Pride began without sponsors, Pride was just a bunch of people in the streets. Pride came about because of oppression. Pride came about because of the roots not the tops!

Pride is being reshaped. I have noticed a trend, I won't say new because it is where we began... with a group of people coming together in unity. Not with streets lined with vendors trying to make a buck off of us. It was with people coming together handing out flyers and spreading love.

More churches are holding Pride event as counterpoint to the non-affirming churches,  they are coming together with love and not hate.

We are learning who our fair-weather friends are. Who throws whom off the bus. We see who stands by us. We see what companies stand by us and we see those who were out just to make a buck.

It is time for people's pride again. We cannot be silenced, we have found our voices.

Mini-Post: A Terrible Attack On A Mormon Church

We only know the attacker is dead. 36 minutes ago the The New York Times reported...
Police confirm a 40-year-old male suspect drove his vehicle through the front door of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before opening fire.
And that is all we know. Period. Barron's reported that,
US President Donald Trump on Sunday denounced a shooting and fire at a Mormon church in Michigan as "another targeted attack on Christians," after one person was killed and several more injured.
I would like to know where he got his information because no one know the motive yet! For all we know it could be a cheated on husband getting back at his wife. Sky News wrote,
Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer said in a statement that "my heart is breaking for the Grand Blanc community" after the shooting.

She added: "Violence anywhere, especially in a place of worship, is unacceptable. I am grateful to the first responders who took action quickly."
That is all that I found about it. But comments on various news site blame both sides for the murders... how quickly we pass judgment.

Going After Our Lawyers!

Trump is going after our lawyers now... he is trying to intimidate the law firms that support us... they are going after a lawyer who like all lawyers called a judge to ask them questions. But now Trump & Company are trying shut up the firms that help us.

Federal prosecutors have charged an attorney who represented families in a lawsuit against Alabama’s gender-affirming care ban with a felony charge of making a false statement.

The charge against Carl Charles,  an attorney for Lambda Legal, a national civil rights organization that primarily works on LGBTQ+ issues, comes over six months after U.S. District Judge Liles C. Burke reprimanded Charles and two other attorneys for allegedly judge-shopping in the case.

Prosecutors accuse Charles of denying before a three-judge panel investigating that he made a call to U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson’s office “to discuss the filing” and “an upcoming request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction,” which prosecutors allege was false.
They are losing all of Trump wild EOs in court so they did what Trump always does... go after their lawyers!
After a hearing, Burke issued an injunction against the law, ruling that it interfered with parents’ ability to make decisions for their children and that the state failed to prove that the drugs were harmful. In 2023, a three-judge federal panel overturned the injunction. U.S. Circuit Judge Barbara Lagoa, citing Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which struck down federal abortion protections, ruled there was no constitutional right to gender-affirming care.

The investigation into alleged judge-shopping came in May 2022 after the original lawsuits were withdrawn and refiled.
But Trump hand picked prosecutors looking for dirt reopened the case even though it has no merit. Lambda Legal had this to say...
Posted On September 9, 2025

Yesterday, an indictment in the Middle District of Alabama of Lambda Legal Counsel Carl Charles was made public. Lambda Legal issued the following statement:

“This unjustified federal indictment is an outrageous act of governmental overreach. Lambda Legal rejects the notion that the U.S. government can punish lawyers and law firms for exercising their First Amendment rights by speaking up on behalf of causes to which government officials object.

“For more than three years, our colleague, Carl Charles, has been subjected to unprecedented and abusive judicial proceedings, smearing his character and undermining his role in fighting for some of the most vulnerable people in society. We fundamentally disagree with the characterization of the events that underpin this indictment, which ignores the fact that the routine phone call at issue was acknowledged by the court to be entirely legal and proper.

“We unequivocally stand behind Carl and all of our attorneys, who adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards every day in pursuit of our mission to advance and defend the rights of LGBTQ+ people.”

Mini-Post: Have you noticed...

I noticed something the Republicans are:
  • Anti - LGBTQ+
  • Anti - abortion
  • Anti - immigrant
  • Anti- national health care
  • Anti- environment
  • Anti- solar
  • Anti - wind
  • Anti - improving the infrastructure
It seems that they are against everything... what are they for?
  • Inserting religion in government
  • Inserting the Bible into education
  • Institutionalize bigotry in government by not enforcing the non-discrimination laws
  • Requiring unquestionable obedience and loyalty to the President
  • Tax cuts for the upper class and safety net cuts to working class -- class warfare.
The Republican Party is “against everything” and “for control and exclusion,” right now many of their most visible and dominant voices are exactly that.

What are the warning signs of an authoritarian government?
  • Cult of a Leader: Loyalty to a single leader above institutions, laws, or democratic norms.
  • Demonizing Out-Groups: identifying enemies (immigrants, minorities, LGBTQ+ people) as threats to the “true nation.”
  • Undermining Democracy: Discrediting elections, suppressing votes, manipulating rules to stay in power.
  • Militarized Nationalism: Glorifying violence or paramilitary groups as defenders of the “real” nation.
  • Fusion of Religion & State: Promoting a single religious identity as the nation’s foundation.
  • Propaganda / Attacks on Truth: Discrediting media, courts, and academia; replacing facts with party narratives.
Trump repeatedly praises and models himself after authoritarian rulers: Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, Xi Jinping, Nicolás Maduro, and Alexander Lukashenko all share these common traits! And now Trump is add to this list.

What comes next?
  • Surveillance and enforcement: Bills that criminalize parents, doctors, or educators who support trans youth?
  • Nihilistic Violent Extremists (NVE): To justify surveillance, censorship, and repression.
  • Striping Marriage Equality: Over turning  Obergefell v. Hodges.
  • Redefine Title VII and Title IX:* To define “sex” strictly as biological sex assigned at birth
Is this our future?

*Note: In Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins, the Supreme Court ruled that discrimination based on sex stereotyping — that is, a person’s nonconformity to social or cultural expectations of their gender — constitutes impermissible sex discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Saturday 9: The Entertainer

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

On Saturdays I take a break from the heavy stuff and have some fun…

The Entertainer (The Theme from The Sting) 1973

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.
Chosen in memory of Robert Redford: Aug. 18, 1936 - Sept. 16, 2025

1) The Sting marked the second teaming of Robert Redford and Paul Newman. The two enjoyed almost 40 years of friendship. One passion they shared was sports cars. Newman raced Porsches professionally and Redford was deft behind the wheel of a classic Karmann Ghia convertible. Think about one of your longest friendships. What did you two first bond over?
Science.
I saw Paul Newman racing cars at Lime Rock Park racing Porsches.

2) During their first movie together – Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid – Redford was late so often that Newman joked they should change the title to, "Waiting for Lefty." Do you have a friend who is perpetually tardy? Or are you that friend?
I am that friend… I am chronically late.

3) Back in 1936, when Redford was born, baseball's Hall of Fame opened in Cooperstown. Coincidentally, two members of his high school class of 1954 are represented in the Hall: Redford, with memorabilia from his baseball film, The Natural, and his teammate on the Van Nuys Wolves, Don Drysdale. "Big D" was inducted for his stellar Dodger pitching career. Have you recently spoken to, or corresponded with, one of your high school classmates?
We are on Facebook together.

4) Redford admitted he had a few run ins with law enforcement during his teen years. He specifically recalled being picked up for breaking into the neighbors' back yard and swimming in their pool. Were you a mischievous kid?
Well to put it bluntly… I was a nerd.

5) Redford went on to CU Boulder. He confessed to being a distracted student and only lasted a year and a half. While not good in class, he was popular with his coworkers at his after school job, mopping floors and cleaning bathrooms at a restaurant called The Sink. The restaurant is still thriving, and Redford returned whenever he was in Boulder. He wore a Sink t-shirt during a national press conference in 2018 and when asked what The Sink was, he was happy to plug his former employer. Do you often wear graphic tees, decorated with a favorite band, restaurant logo, team mascot, vacation destination, etc.?
No, but I do wear a bright red one from a bar in Fort Bragg CA.
I wore it a couple of weeks ago when it poured! I ended up with a pink bra and what looked liked a wicked case of sunburn!

6) When he was a struggling New York actor, he and his wife lost their first child to crib death. Redford told AARP magazine that he blamed himself, and said it's a wound that never healed. Tell us about a time you felt guilty but shouldn't have.
Oh… that happens all the time! I am always second guessing myself.

7) Legendary costume designer Edith Head said she liked putting Redford in hats because they balanced his strong, square jaw. Do you take your figure flaws into consideration when you choose your clothes?
You mean I have figure flaws? Never!
I just like clothes that look good on me, so in a way I probably do it subconsciously.

8) Forever fit, Redford credited his physique on exercise and genes, not diet. He said, "Healthy food is good for the conscience, but Oreos taste a helluva lot better." What's the last cookie, candy or treat you indulged in?
Sh… quite! I had a farm made oatmeal raisin cookie yesterday. I went to a local orchard and stocked up on food to bring to the Cape… along with pasteurized but unhomogenized milked, free range eggs, local processed bacon (i.e. No additives), apple cider, and fresh apple. Apple season is just beginning here.

9) Random question: Do you prefer to bathe or shower first thing in the morning, after work, or before bed?
Yes. When I worked it was first thing in the morning… but now it is at random times, usually before I go out to a meeting or with friends/
But yesterday I took a shower in the out doors shower! It was warm enough outside for to shower.

The influential conservative think tank behind Project 2025 has urged the FBI to treat "violent transgender ideology" as a new domestic terror threat.

In a petition launched on Thursday, the Heritage Foundation — along with its spin-off group, the Oversight Project — called on the agency to add "Transgender Ideology-Inspired Violent Extremism" aka "TIVE" to its list of domestic extremist groups so that it could “detect, disrupt, and dismantle TIVE cells.”
Catchy name hun?
They cited the assassination of Charlie Kirk as only the "latest example" in a long line of home-grown terrorists "brainwashed by trans ideology," though evidence for such a trend is thin at best.
Too bad it is all a lie!
For example, according to the Gun Violence Archive, around 0.1 percent of mass shootings that took place over the last ten years were carried out by transgender people. A study from The Violence Prevention Project at Hamline University backs this up. PolitiFact also reported found that “trans people are more likely to be victims of violence than their cisgender peers.”

And while the Heritage Foundation and the Oversight Project insisted that they were not accusing all trans people of being terrorists, their public explanation of "TIVE" rhetoric appeared extremely broad, encompassing many arguments made by trans rights activists.
[...]

The petition dovetails with a years-long effort by many within the MAGA movement to smear America's estimated 2.8 million trans people as exceptionally violent, unstable, and prone to perpetrating mass shootings.
Everyone knows it is a lie... Trump, the DoJ, the FBI, the politicians, everyone! But it fits in with the all the lies that paint us as evil and to be eradicated!

Why now? Trump & Company think that they can milk Charlie Kirks death for everything they can squeeze out of it. The Advocate writes that,
"The bottom line is that this is another example of escalating attacks targeting trans people," Cathy Renna, the National LGBTQ Task Force communications director, told The Advocate. "It's another use of lies and misinformation to justify [the right's] actions."

Renna added that the list of lies and misinformation is getting longer each day.

"I think this degree of targeting and surveillance and scapegoating is just continuing to erode our sense of safety in this country. And that's a tremendous concern; that's something we all need to be engaged in, speaking out about when what their goal is to silence us. But at the end of the day, those of us who can need to be speaking out as much and as loudly as we can."
It is getting to the level where they will have to live up to their rhetoric. That means... arrests! They have to have something to show for "TIVE."

My guest within 3 months they be arresting us! Will they arrest our legal representative? Will they go for organization like "Transsexual Menace" or will they go after legal organizations like Transgender Law Center?

They need arrest to rationalize the need for TIVE. Mark my words, they probably have the whole game plan laid out.

Um… It Doesn’t Work That Way!

This post is not about a court ruling but the reply of a high government official.

I have had a lot of interaction with lawyers because of when I was the executive director of the Connecticut TransAdvocacy Coalition, but it began long before that (I even submitted amicus curiae briefs for a couple of cases). It began back at a First Event conference in Boston, where I attended a workshop on “Know Your Rights” run by a lawyer. When asked a question, he began with “… in my opinion…” They never said yes or no, just “… in my opinion…”

Fast forward to moderating a panel at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford. On the panel were the head of the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, a senior lawyer from the commission, and the lawyer from GLAD who helped us with the non-discrimination legislation. And you know what? Even the commissioner started her answer with “… in my opinion…” Do you know why? It’s because a judge has the last word. It is what he says at the end that becomes law… well, er… that is… until a bigger judge says otherwise.

So when I hear a DHS Assistant Secretary saying otherwise, it kind of makes me wonder.

A federal judge ruled Wednesday it is unconstitutional for the Trump administration to require states to cooperate with immigration enforcement in order to get some Federal Emergency Management Agency grants — a legal setback in the administration's push to revoke funding to "sanctuary" cities and states.

U.S. District Judge William Smith of Rhode Island ruled in favor of 20 mostly Democratic states that had sued FEMA, accusing the administration of "holding critical emergency preparedness and response funding hostage" unless they assist immigration agents.”
And about this ruling:
“DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin asserted in a statement that cities and states that "break the law and prevent us from arresting criminal illegal aliens should not receive federal funding."

"The Trump Administration is committed to restoring the rule of law. No lawsuit, not this one or any other, is going to stop us from doing that," she wrote.”
Stop right there! "The Trump Administration is committed to restoring the rule of law…” The judge ruled otherwise! It is the judge’s view that is the legal one. Not yours, Ms. Secretary! You don’t like it… appeal! She didn't say that they will appeal, she didn't say that they will abide by the ruling just "No lawsuit, not this one or any other, is going to stop us from doing that..."! That sound awful defiant to me.

Did she just say that she is going to ignore a court order? What message does the Trump administration send with this reply? That they are above the law?

Mini-Post: Bull...

Is Trump saying his is thinking about pulling the 2026 World Cup Soccer games from Democratic? He is not coming outright and saying Democratic cities but his past history of putting troops in cities with Democrat mayor sure does make it seem like that will be true if it happens. Trump And now he is using the same rhetoric. Also the Donald "Vengeance is mine" Trump got booed in many of those cities.

President Trump suggested to reporters Thursday that he would move matches for next summer’s 2026 men’s World Cup away from U.S. host cities that are “even a little bit dangerous.”

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump first guaranteed that the World Cup would be “very secure,” but then suggested that he would intervene and strip host cities of matches. A reporter mentioned Seattle and San Francisco, which will host six games each, as cities that have pushed back against the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

The reporter asked Trump what he would do if those cities “did not cooperate” with the administration.

“Well, that’s an interesting question,” said Trump, “but we’re going to make sure they’re safe. They’re run by radical left lunatics who don’t know what they’re doing.”
However,
Trump does not have explicit authority to move World Cup games out of any city. He does, though, have a direct line to the FIFA president, his “great friend” Gianni Infantino.
So what has the FICA has to say? Good question...

There are types of things that makes that impossible... hotel reservations. venue requirements, contractional obligations, etc...

What's Cooking At The Pentagon?

Anytime this administration does anything out of the ordinary it raised questions marks.
Rules could force reporters out of the building.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday unveiled unprecedented new restrictions on building access for Pentagon reporters that prompted worries among media outlets that the policy would be used to crack down on independent reporting and limit the flow of information on military operations.

The sweeping new rules to access the building prohibit "unprofessional conduct that might serve to disrupt Pentagon operations," as well as "attempts to improperly obtain" classified or unclassified information deemed "controlled," according to a memo released to reporters.

Reporters who decline to agree to the terms or are found violating the rules would lose access to the building, the memo states.

The document sent to press outlets also notes: "DoW [Department of War] information must be approved for public release by an appropriate authorizing official before it is released, even if it is unclassified."
Interesting...

NPR reports,

The Pentagon will drastically change its rules for journalists who cover the Department of Defense, two U.S. officials who are not authorized to speak publicly confirmed to NPR Friday. The move drew sharp criticism from news organizations, who said it violated the bedrock of a free press.

Going forward, journalists must sign a pledge not to gather any information, including unclassified reports, that hasn't been authorized for release.

Using the rebranded "Department of War" acronym, "DoW," the 17-page document obtained by NPR outlining the new rules for the media says those who fail to obey the new policy will lose their press credentials — cutting off access to the headquarters of the largest department in the U.S. government.

"DoW remains committed to transparency to promote accountability and public trust," the document said. "However, DoW information must be approved for public release by an appropriate authorizing official before it is released, even if it is unclassified."

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered hundreds of U.S. generals and admirals to gather in Virginia on short notice and with no stated reason, a new report reveals.

Hegseth has ordered the group to meet at a Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia, Tuesday, The Washington Post reported, citing more than a dozen people familiar with the order. The move has sparked alarm and confusion, according to the Post, particularly after Hegseth fired several senior military leaders earlier this year.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell confirmed that Hegseth will address senior military leaders early next week in a statement to The Independent. He did not provide any additional information.
Now this is scary!

First the muzzle the press. Then they require what could be a violation of the Frist Amendment to shut up the press, like that did in World War II but even in WWII it was only battlefield censorship! Not a complete censorship.

What's going on? Why the heavy peacetime censorship? Are they planning on invaliding a country? Or us? Are they planning to deploy troops somewhere here in the US? Are they planning a coup d'etat?

Life On A Sandbar

When you are sixty miles out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean there is one thing that is in short supply...  potable water. Oh there is water all around but it is salt water and however, there is a big bubble of fresh water that expands and contracts with rainfall and usage.

It is basically a pool of fresh water in the ground floating on salt water.

In a drought like the Cape is going through now shrinks that bubble so the cottages along the ocean start getting brackish water. So the rains of yesterday and today is much needed.

Another thing to remember... when you flush your toilet where does it go? Most of the Cape still has septic system!

Editorial: Pride Centers

[Editorial]

Whether or not you go to a Pride center at a college or on a busy city street in a city, all are welcome! You don’t have to be gay or trans or anything… you are all welcome!

However, Trump doesn’t see it that way! It is promoting acceptance and not bigotry, so it must be bad! So he attacks the “Women’s Centers,” the “LGBTQ+” centers, the “Native American Cultural Programs,” the “Middle Eastern Cultural Programs,” the “African American Cultural Center,” and the “Asian and Asian-American Cultural Center.” They are all open to anyone, but the conservatives see them through their lens as evil leftist centers to be closed.

The thing with these cultural centers is almost any group can start one—get enough people together and petition the school. Do you want an organization for right-wing group… you got it! But you can’t discriminate! You’ve got to allow trans people in—after all, there might be some conservative trans people (You remember Caitlyn Jenner?). Also, all religions! And races!

So when Trump & Company go after these liberal cultural centers, they conveniently ignore the other conservative organizations on campuses.

This is nothing but an attempt at censoring college organizations just like they did back in Germany in the 1930s.

Mini-Post: Paranoid!

Have you noticed that Trump is paranoid that the whole world is out to get him? The case at point... an escalator! A teleprompter! And a sound system! From CNN...
A United Nations spokesperson on Tuesday said that “a built-in safety mechanism” on the escalator was triggered, causing it to stop when President Donald Trump and first lady Melanie Trump attempted to use it.
Oh yeah... they are out to get him!
The administration and the UN have disputed who was responsible for the minor technical snafu, with a UN official saying it was up to the White House to operate president’s prompter while a White House official said it was the UN’s apparatus.
Um... so it was Trump's staff?
While the teleprompter eventually started working, Trump said he was told after his remarks that “the sound was completely off in the Auditorium where the Speech was made, that World Leaders, unless they used the interpreters’ earpieces, couldn’t hear a thing.”
It is a plot against me!!!!!!
Trump said he would be sending a letter to UN leadership as he called for an investigation and the preservation of security tapes from the escalator. He noted that the US Secret Service is involved in the situation.

“This wasn’t a coincidence, this was triple sabotage at the UN,” the president said. “They ought to be ashamed of themselves. I’m sending a copy of this letter to the Secretary General, and I demand an immediate investigation.”
Next thing you know he will be using these as an excuse to back out of the UN! The Republicans hate the UN saying the it our national sovereignty and it is corrupt.

Wah! Wah! They don't like me... WAH! The whole world is against me! Wah!
“The United States will not tolerate threats to our security or dignity at international forums, we expect swift cooperation and decisive action,” the ambassador added in a series of posts on X, mirroring the president’s tone. “These lapses are unacceptable and symptomatic of a broken institution that pose serious safety and security risks.”
Just Trump being an a**hole! And whining like a baby.

Less than three months after President Donald Trump complained that Americans have “too many non-working holidays,” the White House says he would not oppose adding one more — in honor of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Asked whether the president would support legislation to establish a 12th federal holiday to the calendar to commemorate Kirk, who was shot and killed earlier this month by an assassin in Utah, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt replied: “I'm sure he wouldn't oppose such a thing.”

Last week, the Senate adopted a resolution calling October 14 of this year — the day that would’ve been Kirk’s 32nd birthday — a “National Day of Remembrance” for the late Turning Point USA founder.
He said this to stir up trouble, he know Kirk is dividing the nation so he pours gasoline on the divide and throws a match on it. Trump is not a peacemaker but rather an instigator of unrest!

Mini-Post: Big Brother Is Watching You!

A Predator drone silently watches... not a battlefield someplace in the world but rather over the suburbs and cities... the Predator drone equipped for battlefield is being used to watch over us!

When MQ-9 Predator drones flew over anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles this summer, it was the first time they had been dispatched to monitor demonstrations on U.S. soil since 2020, and their use reflects a change in how the government is choosing to deploy the aircraft once reserved for surveilling the border and war zones.

Previous news reports said the drones sent by the Department of Homeland Security conducted surveillance on the weekend of June 7 over thousands of protesters demonstrating against raids conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The Predators flew over Los Angeles for at least four more days, according to tracking experts who identified the flights through air traffic control tower communications and images of a Predator in flight.

[...]

The drones, which fly at around 20,000 feet to conduct surveillance, can beam a live video feed to various government agencies — ICE, the military and more .  The MQ designation refers to the drone's abilities and function. In military parlance, M means multi-use and Q indicates it's an unmanned aerial vehicle.
Big brother is watching you!
“WATCH: DHS drone footage of LA rioters,” the post read. “This is not calm. This is not peaceful. California politicians must call off their rioting mob.”

The post was dated June 10, but it was not clear if the video was from a Predator drone.

Supporters of civil liberties are asking why this equipment, which has been used to drop laser-guided bombs on targets in countries like Afghanistan, is being used for domestic issues.
Yeah but...it wasn't all of LA, just one block! The LA police had it under control! This bring government intrusion to the level of "A Brave New World," and "1984" to our doorsteps! They have cross the line in using military grade equipment to watch it citizens.

Legal groups sued the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Tuesday, claiming it is unlawfully refusing to enforce federal workplace protections for transgender workers.

Led by Acting Chair Andrea Lucas, a Republican, the federal agency charged with enforcing laws against workplace discrimination has moved swiftly to comply with President Donald Trump’s executive order declaring two unchangeable sexes. Under Lucas’s leadership, the EEOC has dropped several lawsuits on behalf of transgender workers, stalled progress on some new cases, and subjected others to heightened scrutiny. The lawsuit also alleges that the agency halted payments to state and local civil rights agencies for investigating gender identity discrimination claims.

“For over 60 years, the EEOC’s mandate has been to protect workers from discrimination, not to pick and choose who is deemed worthy of protection based on political interference,” said Skye Perryman, the president and CEO of Democracy Forward, which alongside the National Women’s Law Center brought the case on behalf of Maryland LGBTQ+ advocacy group FreeState Justice.
My advice to another who is thinking about transitioning... get a job first! Get a couple of reviews under your belt before transitioning.

Why because I have seen a number of trans people lose their discrimination complaint because the company said they fired them for lack of performance or their quality of their work. But if you have reviews to so that is not true you are more likely to win.

As for get a job while trans........ you just added a whole mess of roadblocks. As someone I know said about their winning their discrimination case she said "The idiot came right out and said that they were not hiring me because I'm trans." Unless you have idiot in HR you are not going to win.

The Insurance Journal said they the EEOC threw out a number of cases that were already in process...
Last month she defended her decision to drop several lawsuits on behalf of transgender workers during her June 18 Senate committee confirmation hearing, saying her agency is not independent and must comply with the president’s orders.
Hm... didn't they use that excuse in Nuremberg?
“It was impossible to both comply with the president’s executive order as an executive branch agency, and also zealously defend the workers we had brought the case on behalf,” she said.

However, Lucas acknowledged that a 2020 Supreme Court ruling — Bostock v. Clayton County — “did clearly hold that discriminating against someone on the basis of sex included firing an individual who is transgender or based on their sexual orientation.”
Hey! It is only the law and what Trump wants Trumps gets even if it is against the law!

HR Drive said,
“Instead of serving its critical role to prevent discrimination in the workplace, the EEOC, under Andrea Lucas’ leadership, is actually promoting discrimination,” Gaylynn Burroughs, vice president for education and workplace justice at the National Women’s Law Center, said in a press release. NWLC and Democracy Forward filed the lawsuit on behalf of FreeState Justice, according to the announcement.

“Transgender workers deserve to be protected against harassment, and the EEOC is obligated to do so under law. But the Trump administration seems hellbent on bullying transgender people in every possible way and ensuring that they are pushed out of all forms of public life, including their workplaces, so we’re taking the administration to court,” Burroughs said.
Laws don't mean anything if they are not enforced! We can have all the laws like Connecticut but if they are not enforced we got nothing!

Mini-Post: You Ought To Be In Pictures!

September 22, 2025

It’s hard to recommend a play whose name you can’t say out loud. “You have to see Prince…um….” I found myself sputtering countless times last week. “Prince F-slur.”

The play, which imagines Britain’s Prince George coming out as gay about 10 years in the future, is making headlines in spite—or maybe, in part, because—of its provocative title. After a sold-out summer run at Playwrights Horizons/Soho Rep, during which it was (fittingly) crowned a New York Times Critic’s Pick, Prince Faggot has returned Off Broadway for a second staging at Studio Seaview through November 9.

Much of the coverage has rightfully focused on the titular prince, played by John McCrea, and his lover Dev (a ravishing Mihir Kumar). But the heart of the play is held in the hands—or, rather, fists, to borrow a double entendre from the show—of the cast’s women: Rachel Crowl as Kate, Princess of Wales, and N’yomi Allure Stewart as her daughter, Charlotte. As George’s mother and sister, they ground the play in emotional reality, whether it’s Charlotte and George sharing a cigarette outside their grandfather’s funeral or Kate walking out in her pajamas when her son comes home high at 4 a.m. Between scenes, they break through the fourth wall to deliver monologues of their own, including the play’s final coda (which Stewart developed herself in collaboration with playwright Jordan Tannahill).
I have met Rachel Crowl when her wife came to Connecticut Outreach Society banquet for the keynote, her wife wrote the book "My Husband Betty".

Cuckoo Award

Once again the award goes to our all time winner RFK Jr.! Autism has been around since the dawn of time! This is how idiotic this is.
September 22, 2025

The Trump administration is expected to assert later today that use of acetaminophen — the active ingredient in Tylenol — can increase the risk of autism when used during pregnancy, despite the fact that scientific research has not conclusively demonstrated a causal link.

White House officials are also expected to suggest that a form of vitamin B that is typically used in conjunction with cancer treatment could be used to treat autism.
This is how cuckoo this is.
  1. How many people take Tylenol? It is estimated 50 million Americans take acetaminophen every week.
  2. Autism rates have risen, but not in a way that matches acetaminophen use.
  3. If there was correlation between the rise in Autism and Tylenol they would track the same.
Before the Term “Autism” was coined the disease were said to be possessed, or mentally ill. Then in 1943, Leo Kanner described what he called "early infantile autism." and in 1944 Hans Asperger defined the syndrome. In 1955 Tylenol was discovered. So how in hell could it have been Tylenol that caused the early cases.

But here s the kicker... DSM-III (1980): First official recognition of autism as its own diagnosis.
DSM-IV (1994): Introduced “Pervasive Developmental Disorders,” including: Autistic Disorder,
Asperger’s Syndrome, and PDD-NOS (not otherwise specified).

You have to realize that the function of the DSM is to bill insurance companies. So before then the medical professionals had nothing to bill their hours for treating patients. They didn't have a defined way to charge their hours, so now they started bill hours toward 299.00 & F84.0

If they want to looking into Tylenol and learning disorder fine... but don't blame it because there is zero link to Autism.

So I award RFK Jr. with the Cuckoo Award.

Lies Have Consequences

Well my first thought was... he finally admitted he a fascist!

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday designating Antifa a domestic terrorist organization.

The order calls Antifa a “militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government.” Asserting a trend of political violence, the order instructs executive agencies to “investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations” of Antifa and related people. A fact sheet from the Trump administration describes multiple examples of political violence, which it attributes to Antifa, including assaults against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Antifa, which stands for anti-fascist, has long been a concern of President Trump, who called for this designation at the end of his first term as well. The Congressional Research Service (CRS) describes Antifa as a decentralized, extremist movement rooted in communism, socialism, and anarchism that gained prominence in 2017 after fighting with white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia. CRS notes that Antifa has no organizational structure nor a common enemy list and is composed of independent individuals.
I don't know about you but conservatives have done a lot more than the left... MAGE was involved in a coup on Jan6. BBC News writes...
Trump's order directs all agencies and departments to "investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations...conducted by Antifa" and its supporters.

Investigators have yet to establish a motive in Kirk's killing and there is no evidence to suggest the murder suspect was affiliated with Antifa.

[...]

But Antifa is sometimes used as a catch-all term by conservative politicians and commentators to include other liberal and left-wing groups that they politically object to.
That is what I am afraid of... that any liberal organizations protesting peacefully will be labeled an extremists group!

But first of all there is no law here in the United State that says anything about domestic terrorist organization! The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law writes...
This database provides information on all state domestic terrorism laws in the country. U.S. federal law defines domestic terrorism, but provides no penalties. Instead, the offense of domestic terrorism is state-based, and varies considerably across the country. Thirty-two states and Washington D.C. criminalize the act of domestic terrorism, while the remainder of the states do not. Most state anti-terrorism laws were enacted in the wake of the September 11 attacks, although some were enacted or amended more recently.
So that leaves me scratching my head... if there are no penalties, what do the order. Ah... but there are thing he can do otherwise they would be illegal, like surveillance! ABC News said that,
He says it's a very bad and “sick” group. The executive order says antifa “uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide” to accomplish its goal of overthrowing the U.S. government. The order calls on relevant government departments and agencies to use every authority to investigate, disrupt and dismantle any and all illegal operations, including terrorist actions conducted by antifa or anyone claiming to act on its behalf.
According to a government report... in a 5‑year span, deaths linked to right‑wing extremists are in the dozens to over a hundred, while deaths linked to left‑wing extremists are usually in the single digits or very low double digits! NY1 wrote that,

In the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance — as well as senior administration officials, members of Congress and powerful allies outside of government — have painted left-wing violence as one of the greatest threats to the United States, as they have announced their intentions to intensify the federal government crackdown on their political enemies.

[...]

The right-wing think tank Cato Institute published its own report last week in the wake of Kirk’s assassination, concluding that 3,599 people “have been murdered in politically motivated terrorist attacks in the United States from January 1, 1975, through September 10, 2025,” with 83% of those deaths occurring during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. But, the report continued, “right-wingers are the second most common motivating ideology, accounting for 391 murders and 11 percent of the total” during that time period, accounting for killings by “those motivated by white supremacy, anti-abortion beliefs, involuntary celibacy (incels), and other right-wing ideologies.”

“Left-wing terrorists murdered 65 people, or about 2 percent of the total,” the Cato report continued. “Left-wing terrorists include those motivated by black nationalism, anti-police sentiment, communism, socialism, animal rights, environmentalism, anti-white ideologies, and other left-wing ideologies.”
Just more lies to demonize us because they all knew this because,
The federal report pulled from the website of the National Institute of Justice — the Justice Department’s research arm — was still available on the government’s website as of roughly 4:45 p.m. EDT on Sept. 11, about 24 hours after Kirk’s killing, according to the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. Published in the NIJ Journal in June of last year, both the links to the report’s webpage and the PDF file hosted by the federal government no longer lead to the report, and archived versions on the Wayback Machine indicate it was pulled down at some point on Sept. 11 or 12 last week.

Independent investigative reporter Jason Paladino was the first to report on the missing study, which is still listed on the Department of Homeland Security’s website.

“Militant, nationalistic, white supremacist violent extremism has increased in the United States," the report stated. "In fact, the number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism. Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives.

“In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives,” the report continued.
So these are all lies so that they pass draconian laws against us and rally their base.

Common Characteristics

We share a lot in common with the 1930s more than we know. Back then Germany just came out of a disastrous war, the results was there was a shortage of Aryan men and as a result the Nazis were on a campaign for more Aryan babies!

The US Holocaust Memorial Museum writes...

US Holocaust Memorial Museum
Nazi leaders were obsessed with increasing the size and health of the so-called "national community" ("Volksgemeinschaft") so that the German nation could dominate Europe. During the years of Nazi rule, Nazi authorities and German medical professionals tried different policies and initiatives to increase the sinking German birth rate.1

Shortly after the Nazi Party rose to power in 1933, the new regime enacted legislation that increased existing criminal penalties for abortion among so-called “Aryan” Germans.2 The Lebensborn (“Fount of Life”) program was designed to discourage abortions by providing discreet maternity homes and adoption services to single “Aryan” women.3 Although Nazi policies encouraged these births outside of marriage, Nazi propaganda urged young “Aryan” Germans to marry early and have many children. Large families were the Nazi ideal, and they were promoted through written articles, visual propaganda, and the introduction of military-style awards for motherhood.4

The featured photograph shows examples of the Honor Cross of the German Mother—an award first introduced by the Nazi regime in 1938 to encourage married German women to give birth to many children.5 Women were awarded bronze for four children, silver for six children, and gold for eight children. The medals were supposedly made from these precious metals, but were actually mass-produced from cheap imitation materials instead. The awards feature black swastikas in the center of an elongated blue and white enamel cross that resembles a Christian cross. The words "DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER" (“the German mother”) appear around the swastika, and rays of light fashioned in metal appear to shoot out from behind the cross. Though they were typically kept or displayed in a small case, the medals included a blue and white ribbon for wearing around the neck. These colors signified loyalty in other Nazi-era service awards.
Beside the Motherhood Medals they also had: Marriage loans (1933), The Lebensborn Program (1935) for maternity homes for unwed "Aryan" single mothers, financial incentives, anti-abortion measures, and propaganda -- give births for the motherland for "racially pure" family , with the slogan Kinder, Küche, Kirche (Children, Kitchen, Church) to emphasize a woman's domestic role.

In 1980, Gertrud Scholtz-Klink, an unrepentant former leader of the Nazi women’s bureau in Berlin from 1934 to 1945, described her former job to historian Claudia Koonz as “influencing women in their daily lives”.

To her audience – approximately 4 million girls in the Nazi youth movement, 8 million women in Nazi associations under her jurisdiction, and 1.9 million subscribers to her women’s magazine, Frauen Warte, according to Koonz – Scholtz-Klink promoted what she called “the cradle and the ladle”, or reproductive and household duties as essential to national strength.

“There was a whole array of women’s magazines that glorified housewives” in Nazi Germany, says Koonz, a professor emerita of history at Duke University. “It would be the equivalent of social media today.” Frauen Warte contained nothing too political – just broadly appealing lifestyle content about keeping a clean and well-provisioned home while raising a healthy family, with occasional debates about how much makeup one should wear. A barefaced look was preferred – much like the “clean girl” trend of today. “In a censored society everyone needs debates about harmless topics,” says Koonz.
Do you see any corollaries between then and now?
“There’s been a reluctance to name this moment as fascism,” says cultural historian Tiffany Florvil, yet extreme authoritarian dynamics can be clearly seen in the American right today. (Indeed, Trump supporters can’t seem to stop calling him “Daddy”.)

The government’s unprecedented deportations of immigrants; use of Ice to unjustly detain people in detention centers fraught with human rights abuses; intimidation of judges, law firms and universities; and assaults on the fundamental principles of liberal democracy are prompting historians who specialize in fascism to leave the country.

And significant backlash against gender equality is under way. The idea that women’s bodies are state resources for sustaining population appears to be re-emerging; the Trump administration is encouraging traditional roles by rolling back workplace equity, restricting reproductive rights and policing gender identity.
Then also Trump has proposed according to Ms. Magazine,
The Trump administration is using one of the oldest tools of patriarchy—promising rewards for compliance—through a wave of proposed pronatalist policies designed to push women into motherhood and encourage them to give birth to more children. Among these proposals are $5,000 “baby bonuses” and a “National Medal of Motherhood” to mothers with six or more children. The administration is considering offering fertility tracking classes to teach women how to monitor ovulation and time conception, and has even proposed reserving 30 percent of the prestigious international Fulbright fellowships for applicants who are married or have children, sidelining those who are not.

A recent report by the National Women’s Law Center warns that these proposals are not random: They stem from an “obscure, dangerous, and increasingly influential movement of ‘pronatalists’” that are now dictating the Trump administration’s family policy.
How about now do you see any corollaries between then and now?

The Feminist writes;
This agenda closely aligns with the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, a policy blueprint that calls for restoring the traditional nuclear family as the “cornerstone” of American society. While some conservatives see this push as a necessary response to falling fertility rates, the movement’s underlying assumptions often conflict with the principles of reproductive justice. The Trump administration is promoting a specific family ideal centered on heterosexual marriage and large families, rather than supporting people’s rights to make informed decisions about if, when, and how to parent.
Let us have look at a bit of reality... unlike the 1950s it now takes both working parents to make end meets!

Trump's policies also share other traits with the 1930s,
  • Emphasis on Traditional Family Structure (That means single mothers and LGBTQ+ families need not apply.)
  • Symbolic Recognition (It has been rumored or floated that Trump has proposed a National Medal of Motherhood")
  • Protection of Women's Rights (By attacking trans people.)
  • "Family First" Approach (Plaid Family Leave programs like the Democratic states have.)
Now lets look at rhetoric verse reality. At the same time Trump is proposing these ideas on increasing the birth rate and families. He has...
  • Cut WIC
  • Cut SNAP
  • Cut Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8)
  • Cut Medicaid
And also...
  • Eliminated the Estate Tax
  • The tariffs hit the lower income people the most.
 Whose families is he supporting?

I propose that he is really only supporting White, upper class families and I will go even farther and say White Christian families. Welcome to the world of the "Handmaid's Tale"
