You Don’t Know What’s Like

For many non-trans people they have no idea the uncertainty running through the trans community. As I wrote yesterday the number of calls has increased on the trans suicide hotline since last week.

I received this blog comment from an Anonymous source…

You hide behind anonymity because it emboldened you.

The hate is coming from people like you; the hate is coming from those who are murdering us, the hate is coming from the Christian right want to put us back in the closet, the hate is coming from the Republicans who want to criminalize us, and the hate is coming from Trump who wants to erase us and it is that hate we fear.

Until you know what it is like to fear people who idolize Trump and send out bombs, shoot innocent grandparents as they peacefully shop in a grocery store, kill people in their place of worship.

I don’t who you are but let me guess… you are a white male and you follow the Trump cult. You believe “all lives matter,” you believe taking a knee at football game is wrong, you think marriage should be between Adam and Eve, and you are being persecuted by the left because we want our rights, but you claim you are not a racist or a homophobe.

Yes, I will continue “pounding the drum” until people like you crawl back into the swamp; until people feel safe again in their place of worship, feel safe again going grocery shopping, feel safe walking down the street.

Yes, Yes, Yes, Keep pounding away. I will also, in support of all Trans people, and everyone who is under attack by the right and by the abhorrent monster in the white house and his circle of fascists. These are not the times to be silent.
