Yeah... the majority gets to gloat over all the discrimination they heap on the minorites!
Several Republican-led states have moved to designate June “Nuclear Family Month” or similar observances, creating an overlapping contrast with Pride Month.Tennessee was the first to adopt the label this year, followed by proclamations in Indiana and Alabama emphasizing households with a mother, father and children. Supporters frame the observance as recognition of traditional family structures, while opponents say the timing and language amount to political counterprogramming that excludes LGBTQ+ families.“Homes led by stable parents, a father and a mother, provide children with the structure and discipline necessary to succeed,” Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, a Republican, said in a statement. “In Alabama, we celebrate these hardworking parents that strive for an even better future for their children.”
Yup, like the guy with three wives and five children from them. And he was having an affair with while married to one of them.
Before I came out as trans, I never knew anyone LGBTQ+ and I believe that the lie that they hopped form one bed to another. The first couple that I met were together for 40 years!
"Nuclear Family Month" is a slap in the face for so many families. Sure, there is nothing wrong with a husband and wife with children, and throw in the family dog and cat. So, a parent left left alone because his or her spouse died in some overseas military adventure does not count? Or the spouse died of cancer or hit by a DUI driver does not count? Or, the spouse who divorces his or her spouse because of being unfaithful, soliciting prostitutes or ends up in jail does not count? I know and they know these proclamations are intended to be a slap in the face of the LGBTQ+ community. All these proclamation do is show intolerance for others in their community. PS: Just because the family unit is comprised of a genetic male and genetic female and their offspring does not confer any sort of an "ideal" marriage or family. There is a lot of abuse and crap that goes on behind the front door.
