...That knows no bounds, their ignorance stirs up hate against trans people.
When this is posted I will be at the Legislative Office Building at a press conference on Trump cutting us off from our healthcare.
Health and Human Services has proposed changing ACA Section 1557 where it says “sex” the Obama administration interpreted it to include healthcare for us and the Trump administration is interpreting it as what is between our legs. If this policy change goes through tens of thousands trans people will lose their insurance coverage.

In the wake of another two mass shootings in the USA, which saw 29 people killed and over 50 injured, a politician in Ohio has blamed gay marriage and transgender people as some of the causes.
Candice Keller, who is in the state legislature, took to Facebook and listed a long line of people she blames for the most recent spate of deadly shootings.
Gay marriage, transgender people, drag queen advocates, video games and former President Barack Obama, are just a few of the reasons Keller says are the cause of the mass killings.
She adds fatherlessness, recreational marijuana use, hatred of veterans, people who don’t like the national anthem or US flag, and members of the US congress who belong to the Democratic Party.Hate crimes are increasing thanks to the rhetoric coming out of Washington. In another Guardian article…

A new report shows that 2018 saw a national rise in hate crimes, and that almost all extremist homicides were carried out by the far right.
Hate crimes rose 9% to a decade high of 2,009 in 30 US cities surveyed for the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism (CSHE), headquartered at California State University at Santa Barbara, which published the report on Tuesday.
The rise is the fifth consecutive increase and the steepest rise since 2015, and the trend has continued to rise so far in 2019, the report said. The rise happened even as overall crime rates continued to decline across those cities surveyed.
The most frequently targeted groups nationally were blacks, Jews and LGBTQ people. The report shows that there was a particularly large increase in antisemitic incidents in cities like New York, and records 2018 as the “worst year ever for antisemitic killings in the United States”.

he transgender community in Dallas was still grieving for Muhlaysia Booker when news broke last week that the body of Chynal Lindsey had been found in a lake, making her the second black trans woman murdered in the city in the space of a fortnight.
Three black trans women in their 20s have now been killed in the city since last October, when Brittany White was discovered fatally shot in a vehicle. Booker was found face down on a Dallas street on 18 May, five weeks after cellphone footage of her enduring a sustained beating in front of a jeering crowd went viral.
“I think we’re still coping with being shocked, we’re still in our mourning process of just laying to rest Muhlaysia Booker,” said Carmarion Anderson, the executive director of Black Transwomen Inc, a support group in Dallas.
“We’re seeing that another young black trans woman has been found murdered, it has alarmed us, we’re scared, I believe that we’re angry, we’re looking for answers, looking for a place of refuge. Our emotions are just pretty much all over the place,” she said.
