The Burlington Free Press had this to said about him…

A transgender man has died of wounds suffered from an alleged assault in a Vermont homeless encampment, according to police.
Amos Beede of Milton died Sunday at the University of Vermont Medical Center of injuries that included head trauma, facial fractures and broken ribs, Burlington Police Chief Brandon del Pozo said in a statement.
Beede, 38, succumbed to his injuries one week after falling victim to an alleged aggravated assault, according to a police statement.
The Burlington Free Press had this to said about him…
Young [the coordinator for the Howard Center's Street Outreach Team] said Beede was a talented artist and would create drawings, posters, T-shirts and other artwork for members of the Street Outreach Team. Beede, who was known as Amy before transitioning to a male, frequented Church Street in Burlington and became a close friend to many people in that area.I hope that the murder will get caught and punished, and that if it was a hate crime that they will charge the murderer with a hate crime.

"We have a community drop-in space, which has free coffee and internet and computers, so we really try to set it up so people can just come on in and feel comfortable," Fountain said. "He'd come in and spend time in that space. It's just a good place to be if you're sort of out and about."
Fountain said she did not know Beede as well as other staff members did, but those who knew Beede have told her that he was happiest after beginning his transition from female to male about 18 months ago.
