The PM was forced to make changes to his Cabinet after Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and Minister for Women and Equalities Amber Rudd quit and resigned from the Conservative Party.

MP for Suffolk Coastal Thérèse Coffey has been named the new work and pensions secretary, but she will not take on the role of equalities minister – likely due to her views on LGBT+ rights.

The new equalities minister is yet to be announced at time of publication.

Well thank you for small favors, if that was the Trump administration she would have been appointed the  equalities minister.

For the first time since equal marriage passed in 2013, more than half of the Cabinet have a record of opposition to same-sex marriage, with significantly more opponents than under Theresa May and David Cameron.

The conservatives like us for punching bags and it is not just the U.S. and the U.K.

STALOWA WOLA, Poland - Poland must resist the “traveling theater” of gay pride marches, the leader of its conservative ruling party said on Sunday, as the staunchly Roman Catholic country gears up for a parliamentary election on Oct. 13.

Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party has used LGBTQ rights as a key campaign issue, depicting them as a dangerous Western idea that undermines traditional Catholic values.

“The hard offensive, this traveling theater that is showing up in different cities to provoke and then cry... we are the ones who are harmed by this, it must be unmasked and discarded,” PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski said at a party campaign picnic in the town of Stalowa Wola.

Kaczynski also said he was “grateful” to a Polish archbishop who said this month that Poland was under siege from a “rainbow plague” of gay rights campaigners whom he compared to Poland’s former Communist rulers.

WARSAW — A conservative magazine in Poland distributed "LGBT-free zone" stickers with its weekly edition on Wednesday, amid a mounting backlash against gay rights in central Europe's largest nation ahead of a parliamentary election this year.

Hate against us is being stirred up by the conservatives LGBTQ+ people are being made the rallying call for them to stop our “gay agenda” of dominating the world.

I find this trend worrying. It is not only England and Poland but conservatives in Germany, Italy, Brazil, and Greece are also jumping on the anti-LGBTQ+ band wagon.

But there is hope, people are starting to recognize what the conservatives are trying to do with all the anti-LGBTQ+ and xenophobia rhetoric. The question is will the backlash against the conservatives happen fast enough?

fter the evangelical mayor of Rio de Janeiro ordered the banning of a comic book because it depicted a same-sex kiss, the country's largest newspaper printed the couple's lip lock on its front page.

Last week, mayor Marcelo Crivela demanded that organizers of the Bienial Do Livro book fair wrap all copies of the 2012 trade paperback version of Avengers: The Children's Crusade in opaque black plastic. He then went a step further, ordering the graphic novel be removed from the event altogether.

According to O Globo, fair organizers refused to comply with the request and, on Thursday, Crivela ordered a raid on the fair—directing agents to seize all copies of the comic because it had "sexual content for minors."

By then, though, the book had sold out.

And of course it is all about the “family”

On Friday, Crivella, who once claimed homosexuality was caused by botched abortions, posted a video explaining his decision to censor the book, which he said was intended to "defend the family."

What is with these people?

Don’t they get an education, where do they come up with these stupid ideas, “botched abortions” or the Republican legislator who said women can’t get permanent if they don’t want to?
