I thought of many titles for the post, “Can leopard change its spots?” “Deeds over words” “Too little too late” or “Lip service” but whatever the title the question is still the same, what did Mr. Trump mean when he said,
But most important what would he do about laws that attack us and make us criminals for just being ourselves for just being the way we are born?
“This time, the terrorists targeted our LGBT community,” Trump said to applause. “As your President, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBT citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology.”It is nice to know that he will do what he is supposed to do if he is elected president. But what about domestic violence directed at us? What about discrimination against LGBT people?
“As a Republican, it makes me feel really good to hear you cheering for what I just said,” he added.
But most important what would he do about laws that attack us and make us criminals for just being ourselves for just being the way we are born?
Obama and the Democrats have not done anything to make things safer for anyone, least of all members of the LGBTQ community. The mess made of foreign policy under Obama, Clinton and Kerry has led to the almost daily unleashing of hatred by an enemy that none of them even have the fortitude to name...let alone do anything to protect us from them. Your priorities and your own bias against those who are not committed lefties is skewing your ability to look at things logically.
ReplyDeleteThat is bull!
ReplyDeleteObama administration has done more for the LGBT community than any other president in history. We now have health insurance and employment protections. We have trans, lesbians, and gays people in the military. There are trans people on the White Staff, the Defense Department, and the Labor Department. Meanwhile the Republicans have done everything in their power to make us criminals.
As for foreign policy it was President George W. Bush that went in with guns a blazing on trumped up charges of “weapons of mass destruction” that completely destabilized the region. Instead of focusing on Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan he had to go and invade Iraq.
So what would you have done differently in the Middle East or here at home?
As for “Your priorities and your own bias against those who are not committed lefties is skewing your ability to look at things logically.” I can say the same thing about you.
