This happened up in Canada a number of years ago and may have been one of the reasons Trump hates our guts.
I don’t know if that is the only reason why he hates us but I believe it is one of the major reasons. I can just imagine Mr. Macho Man having to have trans women in the women’s dressing room where “Gods Gift to Women” walks through where the women are undressing.

Jenna Talackova, the 23-year-old woman who forced Donald Trump and his Miss Universe Canada pageant to end its ban on transgender contestants, fell short of the national title Saturday night at the pageant in Toronto.
The crown went to Sahar Biniaz, an Indian-born, Iranian-raised actress from Vancouver. Biniaz, 26, will represent Canada at the Miss Universe pageant in December, according to the Miss Universe Canada website.

She didn't walk away from the pageant empty-handed. In addition to finishing among the top 12 semi-finalists, Talackova tied with three other contestants for the title of Miss Congeniality.

The Evangelicals for Trump coalition, launched at an event Friday night in Miami, is pretty much a who’s who of anti-LGBTQ extremists from the Christian right.
The group’s members have called being gay “filthy” and “immoral,” equated homosexuality with pedophilia and alcoholism, and blamed LGBTQ people for natural disasters, according to research compiled by GLAAD.
I rather be on the IMPOTUS s**t list than be beholding to that scum for any reason.
ReplyDeleteIt may well have been a personal grudge that propelled him into the Presidential race in the first place. A few years ago, at the Presidential Press Corps annual dinner/roast, Trump was in attendance. Obama made fun of The Donald in the spirit of the event, but Trump was visibly pissed off. Some say he vowed that evening to run and, if successful, vowed to undo as much of Obama's work as possible and sully his record and reputation. Could well be - Trump can be very revengeful over the smallest slight.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's true, but the story I heard was that in the summer of 2017, the House of Representatives was getting ready for a vote on a bill that Trump was pushing. Before that vote could happen, however, a small group of Republicans insisted on a vote on their bill which would prevent transgender military personnel or their families from receiving trans-related health care. Their bill was voted on and defeated. Not willing to give up, the anti-trans reps asked that their bill be included as a rider to the bill Trump was pushing. House leadership refused, but the anti-trans reps still wouldn't give up. Meanwhile, Trump got impatient with the squabbling and decided to settle the issue by banning trans people from the military altogether, thus making the health care issue moot.
