It Gets Better – A Message from the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice
At the conference on Civil Rights yesterday at Quinnipiac University School of Law, US Assistant Attorney General Thomas E. Perez was the keynote speaker.
Your little corner needs to know you've been played. But you're not alone well, not entirely. Reporters pretend to be played, quoting without context people they know are fibbing.
For example, Christine Stuart in CTNewsJunkie quotes FBI Connecticut chief Mertz:
"She said she was astounded at the number of victims over the years in the White case that never bothered to call."
White was front page news years before and Christine and Mertz both knew that. White was shunned by some in her office years ago, and both Mertz and Chrstine know that. Mertz's office kills civil rights complaints and the press has an absolute obligation to report substantiated cases of it, but literally won't.
The US Att made no effort to publicize this event.
Welcome to the phony world of federal civil rights enforcement and its helpers in the press.
