I’m Glad He Did.

Yesterday in the Hartford Courant there was an article about the endorsement of gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley by a right wing Christian organization here in Connecticut. In the article they state that,
Our campaign is happy to receive the endorsement of any group that recognizes the need to change direction toward a more proud and prosperous Connecticut," said Chris Cooper, a spokesman for the Foley campaign.

The Family Institute cited Malloy's support of a transgender civil rights bill, his support of legalized abortion and his decision to fly the rainbow flag over the governor's mansion to celebrate marriage equality, among other factors.
I’m glad he did.

In an email the Family Institute had this to about Governor Malloy,
It was Gov. Malloy who forced the Bathroom Bill--the transgender law--through the state legislature. It was Gov. Malloy who flew the Rainbow Flag over the Governor's mansion to show his support for same-sex "marriage." (Indeed, it is the Malloy Administration that describes itself as the "gayest administration ever.")
I’m glad he is.

When we were trying to get the gender inclusive non-discrimination bill through the House, it was the direct intervention of the governor that moved the bill to a vote in there. It was his administration that got us insurance coverage and there are still more that needs to be done; changes in the birth certificate and death certificate laws to make sure our true gender is on them.
