Decision in Kerrigan Marriage Equality Case Expected Today:

The Connecticut Supreme Court will rule TODAY in Kerrigan & Mock v. CT Department of Public Health. If the court rules in favor of the plaintiffs, same-sex couples in
Connecticut will win the freedom to marry!

My question is, was politics involved in the decision being announced today after a year and a half since the Supreme Court heard the arguments.
On the ballot, this year is a question about a Constitutional Convention, “Shall there be a constitutional convention to amend or revise the Constitution of the State?” Was it timed to influence the elections?

UPDATE: the Connecticut Supreme Court came out in favor of the plaintiffs.

Connecticut now become the third state with marriage equality!!!

We may never know if politics was involved in the timing -- I, for one, cvertainly hope not. For now, I'm just busy crossing my fingers!
